/ Nkiru will not miss anything. It is not as if she depends on the SSA appointment for survival. After all, she was before the appointment and she will be after it. Congo shining continues. // |

/ Sad! So of all the colleges in USA, Adaeze has to go to a junior college--Santa Monica College. Ok. Let me take a shower, drive down there to the Communication Department and ask her why. // |
/ Don't blame the girl. It is Mbaise curse...which is why most people run away from marrying from there. Snake vs. Mbaise person? Spare the snake! // |
/ I will take both // |
/ Sign up for a kungfu class as soon as possible. Running away will not save you. Divorce may not save you. He may eventually hunt you down and "off" you if his ego is threatened by your leaving him. This guy needs to be stopped. Just like bullies, you have to stand up to him. I recommend kungfu, taekwando or kokoshinkai. So once two of you get over the panel-beating stuff, you can now sit down and negotiate your marriage. Start tomorrow! // |
/ Who is this firewood that is conducting the interview? She can't even pronounce "graduate"...ALl I heard is "Would you marry a non-graruate"? Graruate? What the hell! // |

aaidel: guy go rest jor yes some people get into haravard based on ability but many others get in because they come from very wealthy families that have given millions in endowments to these universities so maybe you should take your own advice further and actually go through more than one google answer before making up your mind@Aaide : You are very correct! Just like anything elitist, one stands better chance to be admitted to Havard, Yale, Princeton and other Ivy-league colleges if it is the parent's alma mater. Prof. Okonjo went to Havard which opened up the doors for Ngozi Okonjo and her children thereafter. Admission into Havard is not necessarily based on intellectual abilities alone. Man-Know-Man reigns supreme in their admissions considerations. Intellectual prowess is solely for the middle and low-class applicants. Heck, George Bush Jnr. went to Yale with C average. No poor man will ever do it. But the dad opened the way for his sons. Life is not fair, you know...different yardsticks for different social classes. So guys....make your dough! |
Enijomah: One thing some of us dont understand is that, this so called politicians who are beatiing the drum of war will neva join in the fight, they wil fly out and alow the poor to die and later come back and take over any dead persons proparty, pls we all should be wise, dont support/ The fact that everyone tells you the politicians will fly out is all there is to know. Having known this, do you think the airports and borders will not be closely marked by irate mobs? When revolution starts, it usually starts like play like play. Politicians being human and Nigerians, will think it is business as usual and stay put. The same stubborn wey dem dey use steal with impunity, na the same stubborn go make dem dey when e shele. I will bet anyone and if and when revolution starts, most will be caught unawares and will have no where to hide/go. |

Kennyblues: Origin of the name Origin of the name not important. Just like origin of Toyota, Honda, Infinity will not explain the question. What is the difference b/w SUV and Jeep is like asking: What is the difference b/w SUV and Toyota? Or SUV and Honda? Or SUV and Infinity? The main thing is that JEEP is a brand name. |

Dear Goodluck Jonathan, I write this letter with a very heavy heart. For some time now I have watched events in Nigeria with alarm and dismay. I have watched particularly the chaos in Rivers State where a small clique of renegades, openly boasting its connections in high places, seems determined to turn our homeland into a bankrupt and lawless fiefdom. I am appalled by the brazenness of this clique and the silence, if not connivance, of the Presidency. Nigeria’s condition today under your watch is, however, too dangerous for silence. I must register my disappointment and protest. Sincerely, InvertedHammer (inspired by Late Chinua Achebe) |
/ What happened to walking away? How are they going to collect the Else, 2 years is not bad after all considering that a lot of people will fight to have the same job you have. Talk to your partners in the banking world, the stressful situation is about the same and retrenchment is always knocking. Life is not fair, you know. If you love your job, it will not be a job. My point is that most people hate their jobs but got to do it anyway. Most people complain about how stressful their jobs are until they find out how more stressful unemployment could be. So suck it up. // |
thelastPope: All of you who made all these responses are ignoramus! Very sad the quality of people posting on Nairaland! But not by a Junior Minister. If you understand the importance of hierarchy in Chinese culture, you will "appreciate" the slight undertone in GEJ reception. It is a very big insult, to say the least. |
/ Bye Bye Nigeria. To be enslaved by communist China will be the greatest undoing of any progressive country. China does not take any prisoners...they are ruthless at best // |
/ Post-partum depression may be. One of those weird illnesses never diagnosed in Nigeria. Heck... every ailment is limited to malaria or typhoid fever in Nigeria // |
/ People are giving more credit to Buhari than he rightly deserves. Buhari was a very weak president. Most people attributed the doggedness in fighting corruption during his regime to Tunde Idiagbon (his Deputy) who was a no nonsense fellow. Idiagbon was the name that sent shivers down the spine of looters, embezzlers and criminals. Buhari was a mere ceremonial Head of State. Even before his death, Tunde Idiagbon maintained that discipline he enshrined. He was noted to line up with other citizens to buy fuel in the gas station. By virtue of his position as the Head of State, Buhari can take all the credit. But people in the know are aware that he is weak at heart. Period! // |
Billionaires: You have forgotten that PDP had suspended Governor Amaechi alongside many reps. So constitutionally those suspended are not qualified to be in the house. Those 5 can even impeach the Governor, if they chose to./ PDP suspension is at party level. They are representatives of constituents. As such, PDP constitution is relegated to the background where it rightfully belongs. Are you saying PDP constitution is the state constitution? Those 5 cannot impeach anyone by themselves. I am not a party to the case. But sentiments aside, their approach was wrong // |
/ Can you imagine if it were students in the National Assembly beating their reps and senators as we saw in the video? Can you imagine the progress we will make in the country thereafter when those vagabonds know that it is no more business as usual? Initially when I saw the video, I thought revolution has started. Boy was I disappointed // |
