The hypocrisy in Nigeria is terrible, and with this gigantic hypocrisy, God may hardly hear our prayers. Why do I say so? Do you know some people will be so happy if evil happens in the east or if the ESN people are killed in Mass. I am not talking about just people in the North. I mean some people in the South may be so happy. I am not saying that what is going on in the East is palatable or how they are going about it is the best, but the joy some people derive when the news from the East is unfavorable is very bad. Now you can see that taraba is attacked and people are losing their homes, but if a group comes out in the east to defend themselves so that what is happening in taraba does not occur, some people from the South may start criticising them. I am not in support of doing things recklessly in the east or doing stuff without consulting or respecting the elders in the east. But the joy some people derive when the news is bitter in the east is terrible.

My opinions
The northern elites need to educate their people that the time of attacking a people and taking over their land is gone. We are no longer living in the period of barbarians.
The northern elites need to educate their people that land owner now can only be made possible by purchase or willfully given by the ancestral owners and not by compulsion or duress.
The northern elites need to educate their people that religion practice is by individual volition and the time of forcing down people's throat is gone.
The north need to educate their people that staying in a particular place outside your known state no matter how long does not make the place I mean piece of land theirs. They could be evacuated at will.
Another way out. The northern states need to lead by examples by establishing ranches. Cattle can be raised up north and be transported to any part of the world where the market is.
Yams get to south every day from the north, same as beans and others agricultural produce.
Such method of transporting the above items could be used as well to transport cattle.
What it will take to divide the country is more than what it will take to keep it one peacefully and prosperous where everyone is a stakeholder and not observers.
