Dear NL Political Pundits, After months of fierce battle among the various supporters of different presidential aspirants, the candidates have now been known. Since we cannot get the presidential candidates to come and argue their case here, we are inviting their staunch supporters and campaigners on NL here to come and make case for their candidates. Tell us why you think we should vote for your candidate. You are also free to tell us why another candidate(s) should not be voted for. Tell us about the antecedents, past programmes/ideologies, current manifestoes of your candidate. You are also free to discuss about their personalities. Please no name-calling, no insults, let's be civil. All insultive posts will be deleted, and poster risks ban. I have the pleasure to invite to the stage the following Nairalanders as Team Lead for their respective candidates: 1, DR GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN - BEAF 2, MALLAM NUHU RIBADU - GBAWE 3, GEN. MUHAMMADU BUHARI - SAFARI_SA While these people are being given lead role in this debate, other members are also free to argue in favour of their candidates or against other candidates. Let's go |
Guys, the die is cast!!! The candidates have emerged, speculations have gone, calculations disappeared. Now, let's have an opinion poll on the forthcoming Presidential Elections. Cast your vote for your candidate of choice. |
debosky:While I am an avowed PDP hater, I can't help not agreeing with this. |

@Tollu , am not certain if Pencom has the anonymous deal, on a second thought am considering moving to a firm with a better structure.while it may be good to move a better-structured firm, what happens to the pension deducted so far? @Dayokanu, u too funny, one million nor fit but Kia Picanto talk more of Maserati, not even the tyre, besides, your PFA wont release your contribution now until you have attained retirement age of 60yrs, since you are current employed just leave am. :-)he thinks in dollars You see what you women like to do to people nowin fact when I lost my BB a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't doing NL at 'private hours' she was happy I had time to concentrate on other things. |
Thanks for joining NL. I went through your history and saw these two posts that look like what you're complaining about: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=584828.msg7521302#msg7521302 https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=584815.msg7521158#msg7521158 These are still visible. |
Barka Jum'ah. Let's not forget the ettiquettes of Jum'ah that have been discussed earlier in this thread and elsewhere. |
Amin, all. |

Then, something is amiss. The company is just being lackadaisical about and it has serious implication. They will incur penalty whenever they pay. And I also hope it's a viable company, not a mushroom MFB else it may pack up one day and the whole pension lost. |

I forgot: Someone was talking about his pension not remitted. Reporting to PENCOM is overreaction at this time, and I'm not sure it will even help. Being in charge of Pension in my company, I have staff whose pension we remitted as long as after one year of their service. One common reason for this is that their PFA may not have been set up in our system(especially if you're teh first and only one one using it in your coy) and we may not be able to process the deduction for payment. Another possible reason is that your RSA details may have issues or you may not have given it to them. In all of these, all the accumulated deductions will be remitted into your RSA as soon as sorted out. But 1 year is appearing too long. That said, I can't rule out your Finance dept deliberately not remitting your Pension deductions(and that of others) due to liquidity issue, where they will prefer to use your pension for other prioritized things. But they should be ready to pay penalty for defaulting. In any case, rather than take it from Pencom, just go to your Finance/HR(wherever the function resides) and seek to know why your pension has not been remitted. |
It's been long I posted here, but read through all new posts now. First, yours sincerely left the bachelor(TKB et al ) club on January 2nd at Ilorin and joined the Ajanlekoko club. Boss spoiled my honeymoon by not approving my leave, saying the auditors are coming in this week and he can't afford not to have me around.I may not be posting from this office by the end of 2011, as I'm determined this time around to make a career move. I'm serious this time around, never mind teh fact that I've always said this. On the get-together, you guessed right, I'm in and available for the planning. |
@Uplawal, Let's thread softly pls. There is nothing wrong in asking questions. In fact, books can sometimes be misleading, especially for someone who is new to the religion. What if she buys a book by a misguided sect presented as true Islam, and goes ahead to follow the 'misteachings' in that book. Also, even hadith books require scholarly interpretatiosn sometimes. I can remember buying and reading a book by one of the deviant sects, but due to teh fact that I had some basic knowledge about the puritan Islam before, I was able to decipher that the teachings in that book was not totally right. So it's always good to compare notes and ask questions, in addition to reading oneself. |
Mr Sanusi obtained a masters degree at the London School of Business and Finance in 1983.BBC made a mistake here. SLS had his Msc Economics from ABU in 1983, not LSBF. He did some courses in LSE though. |

We tried to make it all-inclusive, invited members to nominate, sent thread to home page, etc. The exercise lasted two weeks. Let me remind you that it's not by the no of posts, so having 20k+ posts doesn't make someone automatically making the list. But all the same, I agree the list is not perfect. |
@OD, You have always been safe ![]() |
No wonder I couldn't access their website a couple of days ago when I tried doing. Thanks |
@KBJ, I had that in mind and will do it when it's voters' registration starts by God's grace. |
