Sex education, I make sure they are still intact till eldest left for college. I monitor their periods like a hawk and any small thing na hospital straight. I personally teach them their cycles days, how to place the pad on their pants & make them understand if they wish to have sex it's their choice but condom is a MUST.

However, I kept some sex book in my room and would ask them to bring another book close to it for me. I know this would make them read the book since my adult kids are d curios type.

As for the boys, I know they already know something I give them a twenty leaf excercise book and tell them to write all they know about Hiv/Aids.

Once they are about to enter college we'd sit and talk and the subject might go into s.ex at some point and I'd tell my daughters not to sleep with any man and all that but if they wish to condom is a MUST.

As some grew older, I usually would ask if they'd a boyfriend. Once in a while I'd chip in the 'if you want to have sexx, make sure you use a condom. Don't let the man deceive you into not using a condom' advise.

I remember when went to visit my daughter one certain time in college. I told her I saw the por'n she'd been watching in my dvd and some more in my book rack. She was embarassed but I just laughed about it. All in all, I was okay.

My experience was not pleasant.

When I started, it was on a Saturday. I was 11, I went to wee when I saw the stain.

I told my mum, she said I should get pieces cloth and use (in 2007-/08, when pad was every where). She said she didn’t have money for pad (which was a lie bc she owned 2 cars), later she gave me tissue paper to use. The tissue paper kept moving to the side and scattering on the floor while I was walking. Once she saw the tissue paper and started shouting for the whole house to hear that I was on period and scattering tissue round the house. After then, my male cousin will make remarks like “rotten egg is smelling “ etc. if I make any mistake that time, what I will hear is “you no be small pikin, no be breast Dey your chest so”, it was extremely embarrassing

I went to pay phone to call my sister, she came home from university. Gave me always and explained menstruation, ovulation, a cycle, hygiene and abstinence to me. She go me roll on, body sprays too. And encourage me to be very neat while it’s flows.

Sir, it’s good you are interested. Kindly let your daughter know (together with your madam), what is involved. How to take care of herself, wash up, hygiene generally. What the implications of menstruation are, the pain and how to deal with it ( a lot of people attribute bad behavior to menses, saying it’s mood swing etc. I believe people should be kind through their period instead of creating excuses) Though there is actually hormonal changes, lots of purging, pain, and sometimes stains. How to embrace her new changes and adapt to them

Hahaha!!! every girl child deserves some love from her parents while growing up. It is in the course of teaching them to know their bodies, sex education and all that it entails, would makes us not lose them to the wrong people. They become our friends when you become theirs First.

, a man has low sperm count doesn't mean it's totally impossible to father a child...the chances are just slim...

Her friend got married 6 years ago and it took a long while to get pregnant. When she does get pregnant her husband begins to say he can't be responsible. He claims a doctor has told him he has low sperm count.
The woman insists it's his... Now there's war in the house . Family meeting was called by the man. No resolution. The man keeps tormenting her.
So, she sought advice from my HR manager.

Was still in sec sch and forming big boy and eyeing one beautiful area babe that had plenty elder sisters. So, was passing their house one day and the elder sisters invited me in. Suddenly a plate of rice was in front of. Even though I insisted that I was fine and didn't want to eat anything they insisted that I must eat. I went 2days ago to run the final test. And the unexpected but expected came out.

I was HIV negative.

I couldn't smile, laugh, cry or sob... I was just tanking God for giving me another chance again to live life well.....although HIV positive patients live their lives to the fullest but it is noting compared to when you are actually negative.

I didn't need any soothe sayer, doctor or spiritualist to tell me I was indeed negative.

I'm very sorry nairalanders for the bore writeup. But I felt compelled to write this to encourage us to practice safe sex.

I know my story won't stop some people from having raw sex but trust me you wouldn't want to go through wat I went through.... Its not worth it. U dey form jagaban now say notin dey happen but my guy knowing that u ve HIV symptoms alone is enough to cause damaging depression to u.

And one thing I also noticed this 2years is this...the devil is the most trickiest of all creatures. Any symptoms I tink of at all I will start experiencing it manifesting physically...the devil will so play wit ur mind and thoughts that you would literally believe u have the disease. Whatever symptoms of HIV I think of it will always manifest. Haba how was that possible.

In all nairalanders I give God the glory that I came out negative. These two years has been the hardest of my life. I can't wish it for my enemy. All bcus of 5mins raw sex.

Let's learn to always play safe no matter how much we want the sex.
