Hello guys who here know who have used Mpower loan support to successfully get a study permit?

For my expected Masters course, I need 21k cad for living expenses and 30k cad for a years Tuition.

I want to get 30k cad from MPower and 25k cad from my self sponsored bank statement. Would this format work to get study permit from IRCC as I am currently working and will be able to attach my pay slip, account statement and leave of absence with study to defend my self finance for the study application.

Congrats, but please did using MPower in your previous application impact your application negatively? Please let's know for some of us planning to use MPower loan biko.

For the form you can calculate the total amount of tuition for the number of years but IRCC requirement for PoF is just for a year.

It is very important that the person sponsoring you has a monthly, weekly or recurrent income to backup successive payment of your school fees. That is what IRCC will be looking at.

If you just provide let's say 40k CAD to cover your 1st year as required but there is no pay slip or business venture that brings regular income, it will suggest to IRCC that it may be difficult for you to complete that program after a year.

If you can show that you have more than one year fund if you dont have regular income pls show it in your PoF but only one year is mandatory.

Yes, this implies that the total number of years for your program should be summed up for the tuition fee space, you do the same for living expenses (room, and board).
Example: if your tuition fee is 17k per year; 17k + 17k = 34k, while room and board is 42k. This is the normal way to calculate POF.

Yeah he or she should grab the job first and then explore the possibilities.

Care job experience falls under Teer 4 to 5, its semi skilled not skilled. Someone here said Canada has a temporarry route for thos category of Teer 4 to 5 jobs for SOWP but it ends in April or May 2025. So yes you can take advantage of it.

Do not worry yourself, just carry both passports to the visa center. You will be fine with or without any webform. Your case is not about a missing or stolen passport. My guess was perfect and you matches the category of approval I have seen recently . Canada is not smiling now with visa approval for visitors applicant . The refusal rate is too high! Thanks and no thanks to many who claim asylum on a visit visa, and we all see the effect now.

I interviewed most PoS operators I use their service. They have formed an alliance with market traders to collect their cash and transfer to them for a fee. So most of the cash from filling stations, supermarkets, shops, restaurants etc do not go to the bank anymore as someone claimed. It's on record that 95% of cash in Nigeria is not within the bank space, they are hoarded outside the banks.

Experience in which job role? PR processing is on skilled Job 0 to 3 Teer or Teer 4-5 (low skill) which ends in April 2025 or so. His skill job experience will also determine the level of score expectations on the English Language Test.

You need to check Google the PR route (Federal Skilled Worker (Express Entry), Provinvial nomination and others) he is looking to explore and check the requirements.

The rate at which small boys here talk about simps marvel me like its the biggest problem we have in Nigeria....if you don't treat women well, your old age will remind you. That time you need a woman by your side to be a worthy companion, support and a helpe. Life progress is not by forming hard all the time especially to your loved ones. Rather let's channel our hardness on career and technological breakthrough, about upgrading our business ....about making money and travell around the world etc and not concentrating all our energies on simping men....how does that help us.

The condition is very clear. You must get a valid job offer and apply for work permit before you can. It is an immigration offence to work with a visitors status. No employer will dare it for a visitor because of the consequence on Canada laws.

Because of the four children, she can apply for visitors extension and qualify for a visitors record. She has a very good justification.

God will help your husband change to a master's program because as it stands, you can only stay for a maximum of six months as a visitor with no work status. After six months, you must either return home or apply for an extension, which is uncertain. Leaving four children with your husband who is a student, will pose greater challenges, especially when combined with part-time work to pay the bills in A country where u cannt leave child alone in the house.that new law affecting many couples and masters even more expensive. What we don't know again is if the husband with study visa is already living in Canada and enrolled in the course or will be travelling to start the course in Fall 2024 or afterwards.

The burden of a single parent taking care of four kids would have also helped her case to get VO accelerated decision. Canada takes children well being and safety seriously.

Good thing is if you have a visitors visa to Canada, you can leverage on programs like this (if it is a short course and does not require study visa) to convert your visitors visa in Canda to study visa.

Just ensure the programme isnt up to 6 months duration in your visit visa limit. If you are able to complete it in 3-4 months and you pass. You can use it as a pre-requisite to apply for a full-time study.

Planning is very key from the set go to achieve whatever you want in life. So many people want to make it without due diligence of researching successful outcomes.

What is the rate of a successful asylum filing? Do you know the implication of a failed filing for Asylum? Desperation is making people lose their sense of reasoning. Continue with your asylum voyage. At least you will remember my post.

all these ones na cho cho cho. Majority of the people that declared for asylum planned to get work permit till they landed and their eyes cleared and funds finished. The chances of getting these things are very slim. No be only you wise pass.

Really I get perplexed when Nigerian folks feel it is ONLY through declaring as refugee in Canada that you can get a pathway to getting status in Canada.

I will share the options of applying for work permits and it is left for you to research which options are explorable by you.

The goal is to engage your creative minds and not to accept a way that is cheap but can set you back in the next 10 years and put the credibility of your fellow citizens at negative.

Mine is to share while yours is to research.

This application is for her spouse's SOWP, who I believe is working in Naija so he can only come as a skilled immigrant.

Then you are a skilled migrant and your spouse can qualify for SOWP based on the skilled job offer. Recall I didn't say you must have an LMIA (closed work permit) visa but a skill job offer is essential.

If you check my previous post here where I quoted the words from IRCC websites, they mentioned about the graduates having PGWP and has an offer for Teer 0 to 3 job stating there roles, payment (hours, annual) and others like NOC code. Someone even mentioned that there is provision for Teer 4 to 5 within a time-frame (till 2025). So the offer is the icing on the cake not just PGWP that if you don't progress with you can lose status in Canada.

So LMIA is not compulsory but the skill job offer is which you can now use to acvumulate work experience to pursue any route wether Federal Express Entry, PNP etc.

If you use up your PGWP in Canada without landing a skill job that sponsors you or enabled you to apply for PR you will have to leave Canada. Reason PGWP comes with duration. It is to enable you establish employment route to PR.

We can begin to analyze the process to each work permit.

LMIA is when you get an offer for a skilled job in Teer 0-3 either inside Canada or outside.

PGWP is usually applied after graduation from at least an 8 month programme in a DLI and PGWP Institution

Active policy is a temporary provision i.e for lless skilled workers like PSW etc Teer 4 and 5 pathway

LMIA exemption aka Open Work Permit can be for a destitute student, maltreated LMIA worker and others like refugee (I really don't know which other ways people get LMIA exemption aka Open Work Permit).

There is the one via Spouse of Intl students or family member of a worker

Etc. Knowing how you can get this permit can help your strategy.

I will post all the ways through which foreign Nationals can get Work Permit in Canada. That is to enlighten us on available pathways. You will see the options by default when you are applying for work permit. It is your duty to research possibilities under every pathway.

Teer 4 and 5 is also allowed till January 30, 2025.

A Temporary Policy, in place from January 30, 2023 for a period of two years, relaxes the employment requirement from “skilled work” to “all skill levels” and also allows working-aged dependent children to obtain a work permit.

N1500 is approximately 1USD, before do you want to use it for 30days? The old days you quoted of subsidies are gone. Embrace the new normal.

Kindly note that the cost of energy has a global rate. The fact Nigeria is world capital of poverty doesn't mean the rate will go low to accomodate us. Power are run by gas and they have a global cost rate including other transmission and distribution cost.

Sometimes you may switch off your metre after 10 hours, you must not leave it all working just to save cost.

Nigeria must align with global cost, we have lived too long on subsidies due to poverty.

Why can't one apply for visiting a spouse and return?
Are you aware spouse of College student can no longer apply for SOWP, it was a new law put into place on March 17th 2024. So if your spouse has been away via school for a year and you cannot do SOWP what else can the spouse use to visit her if not visiit visa given the SOWP has been outlawed.

I am doing same, we visit and return until our spouse is able to secure a job that will qualify us for SOWP visa.

Some few people have given reasons his application failed and its not because the visit visa application is not suited.

If you are legally married, TRV is the wrong visa to apply for. They are telling you to apply for a visa more suited for a married person. If your wife is A PR, she should just sponsor you. If not SOWP is your next best chance.

It will be pretty difficult to convince a VO that you want to visit your own wife and return. So they have given you a pointer. This was my situation so I know.

I’m currently applying for my study permit and my wife SOWP. Right now I am stuck with my wife’s application.

I don’t know if I am to choose visitor/super visa or Work permit for her.
When I pick work permit it’s showing me if I am H1b applicant or not sure I have attached the pictures.

So while spouse of Masters students, professional Degrees students and students enrol in a student provincial route can apply for SOWP once there spouse have study admission/processing of student Provincial program, the spouse of college student must wait till the College students graduates, obtains a PGWP and he or she has an offer of employment in a NOC Teer 0-3 classified job that will last six month after there spouse have applied for SOWP, then the college worker spouse can be considered for SOWP under spouse of skilled worker.

So I saw an interesting thing today in IRCC portal maybe its new or I am the one that hasnt checked very well before now.

I have always argued that College students who have PGWP cannot bring in their spouse with SOWP but I saw an interesting side today checking through the conditions again especially the bolded below that referenced those with PGWP (under which a College graduants can fall under).


"-Family members of high-skilled workers
1. Proof of your relationship to the principal applicant
2. Proof that the principal applicant can or will be legally authorized to work in Canada
3. Proof that the principal applicant can work in Canada for at least 6 months after we receive the family member’s work permit application
4. Proof that the principal applicant is or will be working in an occupation in TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the National Occupation Classification system

For most open work permit holders, such as those under the PGWP program or International Experience Canada, the proof should be a letter from the principal foreign worker’s current employer that shows.

their occupation
a description of their duties
the NOC or TEER category their job is classified under or a copy of the letter of offer of employment."


so from the above, it means that College graduants who are able to progress to PGWP visa and land a professional job can get there spouse SOWP so far there job lies within the professional NOC TEER Category 0-3.



Please disregard my earlier posts and I do apologise if I have made some peeps resigned to fate anout College route, I acknowledge my error and I am resharing again.

I would love to see those whose SOWP application journey were cut off by the exemption of College, try this path of PGWP if there spouse are able to get professional job.
