I never imagined it'd be this stressful to visit Nigeria now. It's really not worth it if it's just to visit and spend time with family.

Other countries are preventing coronavirus but our dear country is cashing out on it.

What's the idea behind the useless travel certificate that I've just paid $100 for?

The European country I will be transiting from only demanded my vaccine certificate but Naija wants people to go to one useless website to fill out form, upload documents and pay money. They don't even bother to know whether one is internet savvy or not.

I've told my people, if anyone wants to see me again, I'll rather spend $1500 on their ticket than for me to stress myself like this. I hate unnecessary stress.

Some bad ladies have become bold with their lifestyles which now attract neither punishment nor condemnation, no thanks to civilization.

Announcement came the other day that Dollar Tree store will increase prices from $1 to $1.25. Many stores increased theirs without letting anyone know.

It's a fact that Biden is the not the cause of the inflation but he is not managing the situation well.

People should stop raising false alarms so that Nigerians will know when to hold the leaders accountable and when not to.

You are right but don't forget the too many benefits the government currently gives to lazy assholes who don't wanna work like every other person.

Right now, there are more money in the hands of non working Americans than in the hands of working ones.

Don't also forget the high tax rate for the rich. When you tax the rich, they move the responsibility to the poor which is why prices of goods are rising.

Business owners will naturally create fake scarcity to increase the prices of their goods and recover the high taxes government imposed on them but Biden believes he is helping the poor not knowing he is killing them the more.

That will be another hurdle because of the location. I believe a few police checkpoints here and there can take care of kidnappers and hoodlum that may want to try to disturb people.

Yes it's true that tertiary education in Nigeria is one of the cheapest and I must commend the standards too judging by what I see every other place I've been to.

The main issue that should be discussed is the value of such degrees outside Nigeria. The quality of the said tertiary education in the eyes of people of other countries.

I've met with graduates of some universities in South Africa who can't come close to what a Nigerian graduate can do but their schools are more recognized than our Nigerian schools.

In HRConnect, a web that holds US federal employee profiles, only four Nigerian universities, UNN, Unilag, Unibadan and ABU Zaria are recognized. The rest don't exist as far as the web is concerned. So if you have a Nigerian degree certificate outside these four universities as a US federal employee, you are simply a high school diploma holder until you go back to school to start all over again whereas your mates with South African degrees certs are recognized and have higher chances of growth.

That our cost of education is low and that our standard of education is high won't change a thing until our leaders put the country in the big map.

As far as I'm concerned, the cost of tertiary education in Nigeria of today is commensurate with the country's present status in the world.

Why healthcare professionals refuse to get vaccinated scares the sh1t out of me.

I found out the other day that almost 80% staff at my primary healthcare facility refused to be vaccinated and these were the people that injected the vaccine in me.

Why a priest who conducts Sunday service will not want to go to heaven makes me doubt my sanity.

Now they are talking about booster shot. I will not take it until the nurse that brings the vaccine to me shows me her proof of taking the booster shot. Ogini bu this bikonu?

It's a shame that many great men have their careers go down this same route especially men of older generation who treated women as lesser humans.

I feel good and bad about it. Good that justice is served and bad that some of the allegations are not as heavy as the careers that went down the drain.

1. The man is a bricklayer but barely get job. He also knows how to do carpentry job. According to him, he's not a business orientated person per se. But he'd love selling drinks. He also knows how to drive. He had once ride a cab before moving to his present location.

2. The wife had always love selling foodstuffs. She had once met with those igbo men that sells foodstuffs to be supplying food sellers and others and get commission. Sadly, the man stopped her later as she seems to be collecting all his customers. That was when she resorted helping people wash their clothes and get paid which wasn't constant and her hands always get injured over it.

3. A single room here is within 60-70k per annum depending on the house. Though face me i face you accommodation

4. As for their schooling. I've always emphasised on enrolling the kids to public school, which the parents didn't kick against. Though they made emphasis only on the 3 grown kids. Reason i consider public school was that they may probably not have the pover to continue paying their school fees later and they'd had to dropped out. Public school in Ogun state isn't free unlike Lagos state. To register in JSS class is #20,000, if you ain't coming directly from a public primary school. Then you get your uniform and other school materials. Afterwards, you only pay #1,600 per term as PTA levy till you complete your jsce. Same applies to SS class. This would help ease their burden and probably channel the money they derived from their various businesses into other things; like feeding, accommodation, health et al. There are public primary school also, within same location. The younger ones too can attend

As for private schools. There are schools that pays #18,000 per term for secondary while primary pays #12,000 respectively

California government spends more on illegals and prisoners than on its residents. Gas prices in California today is higher than every other state just because the residents pay more taxes to fix the roads but when it was time to share palliative fund, the focus was on illegals.

Foods prices go up every day across the States thereby shooting up inflation just because there are less people to clear and move the goods. if illegals enjoy the benefits, why can't they be made to help the system that help them as well?

The other day I went grocery shopping, bought few things and paid about $40 whereas the person before me who had a cart full of groceries paid over a $100 with government food stamp credit card.

Now, many illegals have this card and buy things as they wish including marijuana whereas those that work and pay taxes struggle with their needs. You think the taxpayers who make the card possible are happy about it?

I'm sure someone will say that illegals work and pay taxes but how many of them report their true income when most of them work under the table especially Asian illegals.

Making them work at the ports to get the goods cleared will be making them earn the benefits they enjoy.

1. A skill and/or small business the man can do. I'm thinking of motorcycle riding, keke driving, taxi driving etc.

2. A small business the wife can start and the cost of starting it. The one she has some level of experience will be ideal.

3. Cost of two years rent in nearby low income housing, even face me I face you kind of home won't be a bad idea for now as long as it will be conducive for the kids.

4. Schooling cost for the kids at nearby schools, at least a year cost.

Lastly, there will be need for direct contact with them but that can wait for now until people know exactly how and where to come into their situation.

Please update the thread with your findings when you're done. I believe there may be people willing to help out even in littlest ways.
