It would appear our brother Tonye thinks:  different administrations = different "ministries" . . . and by administration, he equates that to something along the lines of each one running their own seperate "organization".

When in the biblical reality, administration simply refers to different gifts - not each one given their own organization to run. It is: different gifts, working together towards the same ministry, the ministry we've all be been charged with of making disciples. And if we are one body working towards building Christ's church, will the hand ever say to the leg "wetin concern me with your ministry?" or will the eye say to the hand "you no fit come preach for my church since we get different 'ministry'"? will the mouth reject the foot and say "my own no concern you oh!" . . . but yet, T-boy is insisting they have "different administrations" and "one no concern the other".

This Tonye likes to chase his tails. I will not encourage him anymore in such exercises in futility .

just wow. If I ever saw a trainwreck of a post that was simultaneously tragic and hilarious, this is one. Oya Joagbaje come and answer oh!

Less than a month ago I was in Athens. It's about 10pm in the evening and we're walking back to our hotel downtown and suddenly we hear screaming and shouting. Four black women questionably dressed were running towards us shouting but at the same time laughing as an older greek man was chasing them.

As they ran by us laughing and shouting, I could immediately tell by their words they were Nigerian women. "Ah hurry up now!" "na wetin" "see that old man" "haha" etc etc . . .  the old white man was holding up his pants as he ran past us chasing them. I figured they had probably just robbed him of something. Moments after, the police ran by us pursuing them.

I just shook my head and walked on not waiting to see what would happen. Its riff-raffs like these that are ruining our name all over the world.

PastorJoe, it has nothing per say to do with the thread. It has everything to do with my last conversation with you. I figured since you didn't get the chance to return there, I'd get that off my chest here.

-And it is quite another to have 2 men operating 2 different & seperate vineyards - this is the case with Oyedepo and Oyak.

   To prove this is infact the case, answer one simple question - does Oyakhilome send 'converts' from his church to Oyedepo for 'watering'? or vice versa? since they have specific "ministries"? or are they both do-it-all pastors that can sow, gather, plant, water, reap, harvest?

So Jesus could not preach or teach around the lake and woods where John the baptist lived? since that was John's ministerial jurisdiction? and Jesus could not interfere since His only job was "reconciliation"?

  and Paul could not go in Jerusalem to preach since that was Peter's assignment? and dare Peter venture across the ocean to Rome to teach Paul's 'church' since preaching to anyone but Jews was not his 'ministry'?

Some of you are so ignorant of the importance of the pastoral ministry, how come it's in marriage matter people easily claim I was led by SPIRIT. You've not been trained to be led in soul winning or any other spiritual thing but when lust and passion start working , you say I was led to marry,He will soon lead you to marry unbeliever! and soon end in divorce. A pastor knows beyond you. He will ask some questions, he is ordained to lead people into Gods destiny.

While there is some truth in this, the manner and context in which it is spoken renders it false. A pastors job is to shepherd the flock - he does not control their lives. My personal relationships do not fall under that jurisdiction or even any jurisdiction of his - I answer only to God. Are we not adults? do we need your approval or disproval in the life partner that we choose? why don't we consult you when we go to work? and choose our bosses and companies for us too? and the food we eat at home? and the places we decide to travel to? I repeat, you 'pastors' over-estimate your importance and boundaries.

Why would Paul be counselling the early church over marriage. When they all have equal holy spirit. Don't make light the pastoral ministry.

Paul dropped lines of wisdom yes. Did he instruct prospective couples to surrender themselves for mandatory counselling before they can marry or even court? NO. All he did was simply lay some ground rules and general principles by which we should conduct ourselves in all relationships not just marriage.

This is what you 'pastors' have remixed and modified to mean - you must go for counselling and the pastor must approve before you marry. Thoroughly unbiblical and unbelievably arrogant.

This only proves you need a pastor too.

and I repeat for a third time - you 'pastors' over-estimate your importance. What arrogance.
