I love u JJ,  kiss  u r fun to be with  grin , let's meet on YIM, mine is on my profile tongue
oga,  thanks for the offer.  i will like to add that i dont hate you. this is nothing personal. i refer you to the reply  below. sorry i dont do chats online. this is the shoody practices nigerian banks do that get them in trouble overseas. i am an ex banker. nigerian and overseas so i am talking with a litle bit of inside knowledge. last year we discussed intercontinental bank some where here. i was excitted about them cos i am a nigerian. i was shocked when my wife told me they charge for running current accounts. i pointed this to the girl selling us the account her word was " oga what is a couple of hundred of pounds to you and madam".  that was not the point. the point was why do i need to pay for services i get free from other banks.

go check my previous post you will see i general defend banks but not on this one. nigerian banks charge too much and that is official. stop trying to defend the indefefencible. you are not preaching to the choir on this one bros.

ekoree:
I feel sorry for these Gt bank mouthpieces. I never complained about paying for bank statement. Of course, u can print that online. The complaint is simple - I was clearly told about payment for bank statement. I consented. I WAS NEVER TOLD THAT THERE IS A N2,500 CHARGE FOR A LETTER. AND MY ACCOUNT WAS NOT DEBITED UNTIL 2 DAYS LATER. If insulting people with complaints is the best GT Bank mouthpieces can do,  I wish them well. For the oga at Gtbank who wants to take this up, thanks. You can start by going to find out from your customer feedback system, as I did lodge complaints twice. Start by finding out why your customer service will not respond to a simple complaint by a customer.

I will not dignify the innuendoes and insinuations with a response.  I guess some of these guys are too daft that there are a number of nairalanders who are silent bystanders, who don't post, unless absolutely necessary. The day our service providers realise they are not infallible and begin to place value on what a simple apology can achieve, that will be the day.

Thanks guys, for your contributions. Essence of post achieved. Peace.

Linda Ikeji,Guess u are happy now?
you are a very small minded person. you are a disgrace.  is she the first and only person to have failed relationship behind her  in nigeria or her success is giving you sleepless nights?

if you know linda in person you will know she  is not that kind of person. how did this concern her bros? is she the new immigration minister? nawa for people like you.  you people always have someone to blame for your misfortune.  leave linda out of this.  it is contractual matters. if your visa is tied to a job you must not violate the visa by switching job especially to a competitor that is how  every civilize country runs.

next time rain fall in your area and flood your room blame your ex - girl friend you hear. or when they sack you for your bad belle blame linda you hear she is omni present.
8pt]Deportees raise the alarm over Nigerians’
By Friday Olokor, Oyetunji Abioye and Emeka Ezekiel
Published: Thursday, 16 Apr 2009

The 45 Nigerians deported on Tuesday by the Equatorial Guinea Government have expressed fears on the whereabouts of 11 others, saying they may have been killed in that country.

They also demanded the release of the 15 corpses of Nigerians killed for proper burial at home and $100m compensation to the owners of seized boats and the detainees.

Out of the 128 Nigerians detained by the government of that country, 11 of them were removed from their cell, to an unknown destination, while efforts to trace them have proved futile.

A statement entitled, Report of Assault on Nigerian businessmen and Sailors in Malabo by the Government of Equatorial Guinea, signed by the Secretary-General of Nigeria/Malabo Boat Owners Association, Mr. Wisdom Archibong and made available to our correspondent in Lagos on Wednesday, also alleged that 12 of them died through torture and shooting.

They were arrested on February 17 by a combined team of Equatorial Guinea Police, Navy and Army who took 98 sailors and 30 other Nigerians and detained at the Central Police Station in Malabo.

Three of the people shot dead, alleged Archibong, included one Mr. Sola Jide, adding that “three of the people in the boat were tortured to death, including a woman. The Equatorial Guinea Police, after killing them, placed guns on their bodies, took photographs and branded them militants.’’

He stated that despite complaints to the Nigerian government, the Consul-General remained mute over the matter.

But the spokesperson of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Mr. Ayo Olukanni, told The PUNCH on the phone that “both the Nigerian Mission in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea and the Federal Government have taken up the issue to ensure that the rights of our people are protected.’’

Reacting to the development, human rights advocate, Mr. Femi Falana, told our correspondent that he would reach out to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and draw the attention of the government to the plight of Nigerians in Equatorial Guinea. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art200904162412845

* Sorry fellow Nigerians in search of greener pastures, assuming our country is good, what will a proud Nigeria go to such a poor country to do, more over, our rulers now have shown stupidity, coward ness, immaturity towards the welfare of the citizens. Everyone of them is dodging so that they will seek favors and not to be discovered when smuggling our tax payers money overseas.

* nigerians are orphans with no real nation ! seeing what nigerians pass thru, one might conclude that unlike other good nations, it appears nigeria and nigerians owe each other nothing . This is pure murder but b/c the victims arent related to politicians & neither is there money to be shared, nothin wil be done about this. We must knw that any attack on any innocent nigerian, is an attack on us all. RIP Sola Jide and co .

* I'm not surprised at all about this development. If we can't protect our citizens within Nigeria, how can we protect them outside Nigeria. Ojo Maduekwe is the worst man for this job. We play with peoples life in the name of stupid political appointments. I'm yet to see any achievment and positive appointment by the Yaradua's administration. It's like Nigeria is now stagnant under him. Yaradua - One of the dividends of Obasanjo's administration.

You are armed robbers, prostitute dares ex- soldier, others

Thursday, April 16, 2009 More Stories on This Section

A commercial sex worker in Lagos, has pointed fingers at an ex-soldier and members of his robbery gang, accusing them of unleashing terror on residents of Lagos and its environs.
The 18-year-old girl, from Ondo state, simply identified as Bekky, had told police detectives attached to the Festac Division that the ex-soldier, also believed to be a member of a cult group, Onyebuchi Eze, Emeka Nwenyi and others still at large, used military uniform to dispossess people of their property.
Bekky disclosed that a member of the gang, simply identified as Biggy, gave Eze, popularly known as Capone, a gun procured at Nsukka, Enugu State.

She gave the names of other members of the gang as, Nwenyi and Ekwutosi. Eze and Ekwutosi were alleged to have snatched a jeep from a man and stole his N35, 000. She alleged that both of them wore army uniform during the operation.

According to her, the gang also stole four motorcycles and sold them at the rate of N26, 000 each. She also narrated how members of the gang once robbed passengers of a luxury bus in Lagos.
The girl, who claimed Eze was her regular customer, said it was one Kelechi, who introduced her into prostitution at the age of sixteen, adding that she escaped when the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) came to arrest her in a hotel at Ajangbadi.

Eze, who claimed to have been discharged from the Nigerian Army on medical grounds.
He, however, denied being an armed robber. He said he loved Bekky and wanted to marry her.
“I wanted to marry Bekky but wished to know her parents in Ebonyi state but she refused to take me there,” he claimed.

Nwenyi was arrested while he was still wearing army uniform. He said it was Bekky who brought police to his residence at Ajangbadi, Lagos. He, however, confessed being a fake soldier, adding that it was his friend, Bassey Effiong, who gave him the army uniform which included a T-shirt, shorts, cap, Jack knife, among others.
But he said he never used the military uniform to rob. “I am a business man in Lagos,” he told Daily Sun.

I do not know the rational for including my name above or comparing me with atheist on this thread but i would strive to correct you in love. Firstly i am a strong new testament believing christian with the love of God in my heart and spirit. The fact that i point out lapses in the "church" does not in anyway suggest that i even remotely antagonize christianity, my grouse is with the several fasle doctrines and fallacies being preached by so called men of God today at the expense of the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, i propagate true christianity and i believe most churches have strayed away from the true gospel(this fact is quite glaring if you bother to read your bible at all) doctrines of men now prevade the church and i earnestly seek to reconcile the church to christ. I pray that God would use me as a vessel to bring the church back to him.

FamilyRe: Divorce! Does It Mean God Did Not Ordained The Marriage? by JJYOU: 1:17pm On Apr 15, 2009
~Sissy~:
divorces happen because of so many differences that's are irreconcilable between the parties involved. i think mostly it wasn't mean to be in the first place, cox i personally believe that a marriage rooted in God's vineyard will last no matter the obstacles the couple will face. and with so many instantaneous drive through marriages happening, i would say people marry out of so many wrong reasons and have wild expectations, so when those reasons and wild expectations are unmet, they seek the divorce route. some folks are just immature and irresponsible to be married in the first place therefore, they cant handle martial problems.
sorry ma,  even if an angel came to announce the marriage if the 2 people involved choose to be ignorant and take each other for granted they are sadly headed for being a DIVORCE statistics.  every good marriage is hard work and like you said immature and grossly irresponsible people have no business being married at all.

this I, me and my miserable self generation are mostly not prepared.

This churches that you are refering to that built their schools and hospitals with with tithes money and offerings don't even offer free or subsidized services. o answer your question were did the early missionaries that provided our parents and grand parents with freeand qualitave education get the funding from?? Thirdly is it right for a church that claims to be serving God to resort to scriptural manipulation, outright lies and fraud all in the name of tithing to raise funs for the church? To make matters worse these churches do not even use the money to do what they were mandated to use it for in the bible which is mostly charity.
I have never advocated for anyone to join the baptist church on this forum, even though i attend the baptist church, i consider myself non-denominational as i don't believe denomination(division) of the church which your pastors so aptly promote today.
saint kunle AKA mr know it all, how do you know my pastor and what he promote today? you seem to take lightlythe matter of being judgemental of people you dont know. i hope you know we will all account for whatever we choose to say in this life time and seun backing you on his NL will not spare you on that day.

my question was where you saw the verse asking you to join baptist church not you advocating.
JJYOU:
kunle, where would the churches you are asking to offer free education and free medical services get thier fundings from? where would the church get running cost from? where in the new testament did Jesus require people following His teachings to join baptist church?
would you kindly answer this simple question oga
where would the churches you are asking to offer free education and free medical services get thier fundings from? where would the church get running cost from?

Even though it is now very obvious form thhe numerous postings on this thread that tithing is not required of christians and that pro tithers have a very weak case for their utterances and allusions. I would just like to ask one question: IS THERE ANY CHRISTIAN REQUIREMENT IN THE NEW TESTAMENT(which chrisitanity is based on) FOR BELIEVERS TO TITHEhuh or put this way; IS THERE ANY BASIS FOR TITHING FROM THE TEACHINGS OF jESUS OR ANY OF THE APOSTLES WHO ESTABLISHED CHRISTIANITYhuh IS THERE ANY BIBLICAL RECORD OF THE EARLY CHRISTIANS TITHINGhuh
