If this is true, then it is more likely a political assassination. But since it happened in Owerri, people will say it's unknown gunmen that killed him.

Sleep paralysis: science. Spirit wife: belief in the supernatural. Which is it then? Did chemicals in your brain go out of sync or a demon held you down for fun? Find out which first before asking for an opinion.
The question I keep asking is, if truly it is chemicals in our brains going out sync, why must it be that particular experience? Even when one had no wild thought before going to bed?

The best thing is to keep an open mind about the whole thing while we inquire to know more about life and our existence. After all, there are many things science is yet to uncover. Besides, science has its own limitations.

Is he/she/it Nigerian, is he/she/it even in Nigeria? The efficacy of debating individuals online is limited since you’re ignorant of whom you’re actually debating or arguing with. You cannot make someone who is not Igbo but pretending to be Igbo and wants anarchy, for whatever motive, care about the consequences of anarchy for Anambra, Imo or elsewhere in the east.

Except for the benefit of the gallery, arguing with someone online is nearly as useful as pointless.
You have a point there.

The truth is Nigeria police and army are not needed in East.

98% of Easterners sees them as terrorist because the behave and act like one
You're running your mouth now, when the criminals will turn around and start killing and raping you, then you'll still blame Nigerian government!

@post, I keep reiterating it, if you are an Igbo person and you know you love Igboland, this is the time to act and show your love. The police and security agencies should provide dedicated phone numbers for patriotic Igbos to report these criminals in IPOB, ESN and co. Those people live in our midst and we cannot continue to shield them at our own detriment.
Anybody who is an IPOB member should be seen as a suspect and should be brutally dealt with. Useless barbarians who claim to be educated, yet cannot use their intellects to go about their quest for self determination.

@ the topic.

To think these rescued cases of attempted rituals are just few out of several other unidentified cases going on everyday. Just see them consciously lying down helplessly under the mercy of fellow humans.

Amazingly, these ritualists are just bunch of brainwashed illiterates thinking human beings can be converted into cash through some forms of abracadabra. There is no such thing as ritual money, you can't convert human being into cash.
Human body parts are expensive commodities in the healthcare industry. Some consume it as meat believing that it helps replenish and nourish their bodies better than meats from other animals.

It's pathetic but true!

And it is a messed up society like ours that some people are thinking of legalizing weed! Evil people in Nigeria have their way of pushing for their evil agendas through the national assembly, and I pray the voices of good among the legislators are not drowned by the voices of evil.

My brother I know my wife is my responsibility. But d issue now is that she is making money. She has like 250k saving In her account. Her shop rent is just 90k. And she wants me to pay it. D money she is making, is it ordinary paper. The issue is that ladies of this generation is different from our mum. I live in well furnished two bedroom apartment, paid by me. People are passing my wife shop seeing d level of customer going in and out, d think she is contributing to d family. Is better I marry a girl that is not doing anything that will be submissive to me. I noticed d little money she is making is entering her head.
Oga, please don't pay that shop rent for her. It is simple business sense that a business should pay rents as part of expenditure.

This is why I'll rather marry a jobless girl who is submissive to me and can take care of the home front than a working girl whose income will be useless to me. It is annoying knowing that your wife earns income but cannot relieve you of some financial burdens.

People doctor it and add chemicals to it for more potency to attract more buyers.

You are the clueless one here! I have carried out my research on cannabis and found out that it is harmful to both mind and body!

Your interesting opinion based on pure conjecture is noted for the Nairaland archives. You will no doubt be very unhappy when cannabis is legalized by Nigeria's legislature in the near future despite all these fascinating postulations you have tabled here.

Kindly accept my condolences on the coming bitter disappointment you will shortly experience, and have a great day sir.
Cannabis is not going to be legalized in Nigeria! More reasonable people have spoken up against it and I know that the legislature will eventually listen to the voice of reason.
Politics › Re: Buba Marwa: If Cannabis Is Legalised, Nigeria Becoming Den Of Junkies Criminals by Jman06(m): 6:00pm On May 27, 2021
Jakumo:
Just as there are individuals who suffer allergic reactions to chloroquine used in treating malaria, and people who are genetically predisposed to addiction that are better off never indulging in alcohol consumption, marijuana also is NOT compatible with SOME members of any society, on account of their inherent inclination to psychological instability or addiction.

The rationale that chloroquine or alcohol are not suitable for SOME people has never been proposed as the basis upon which those utterly worthless substances ought to be legally banned from use by ALL people. This same logic MUST be applied to cannabis, which, unlike alcohol or tobacco, DOES have significant clinically verified benefits for MILLIONS of people worldwide.

Truth be told, the vast majority of those enlightened enough to objectively weigh the benefits and risks of alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis would readily accept a total ban on tobacco and alcohol, both of which have ZERO medical efficacy and are in fact deadly poisons, while emphatically supporting the total and immediate legalization of medical cannabis. I certainly fall into the category of those who would GLADLY support a total ban on alcohol and tobacco, coupled with full decriminalization of medical marijuana, on the basis of the aforementioned reasons.
Cannabis contains different chemical constituents some of which have some health benefits. However, many of these chemicals have harmful effects which can alter the mind and cause people to act irrationally. If we can pinpoint those beneficial constituents and separate them, good and fine. But legalizing the use of the whole plant is a no no for a messed up country like Nigeria.

Everybody who takes cannabis is mentally affected at different levels. They all suffer psychiatric issue at different levels like psychosis, mania, depression, hallucination etc. They must not start walking nakedd before we know they have mental problems.

Say no to weed! It kills
Politics › Re: Buba Marwa: If Cannabis Is Legalised, Nigeria Becoming Den Of Junkies Criminals by Jman06(m): 1:05pm On May 27, 2021
Jakumo:
Criminal cannabis growers and dealers are systematically adulterating weed using a variety of deadly chemicals, perhaps in a bid to boost the potency of mediocre quality weed, and the results of that mass poisoning are absolutely devastating. Indeed cannabis smokers are running mad, and even dying as a result of unknowingly ingesting any number of terrible chemical additives.

This mass poisoning is all the more reason why cannabis cultivation MUST be removed from the hands of criminal gangs, and regulated in exactly the same way as alcohol production is monitored and controlled. With the criminal element permanently removed from the cultivation and marketing of marijuana, incidents of psychotic breaks will dramatically reduce in number nationwide.
It is not about chemical contamination. Cannabis itself has many chemical constituents some of which interact with different receptors in the brain. Unless we have the wherewithal to do proper extraction of the beneficial constituents, legalizing the whole cannabis for whatever reason is very dangerous!

Alcohol and tobacco are more harmful

What evidence do you have for your claim on the connection between cannabis and psychiatric public health
Do you have any evidence that more people will smoke cannabis when it is legalized than otherwise?

Those who smoke cannabis are not bothered whether it is legal or not. It makes no difference
How many people are convicted annually in Nigeria for smoking cannabis?
Aside my knowledge of psychoactive substances and their effects on the brain, I am in the street also and I have seen many psychiatric cases triggered by cannabis use.

More people will definitely start using weed if it becomes legal. It is common sense that when access increases, indulgence increases as well. Again, it will become cheaper as more people will flood the market with it and you'll agree with me that the cheaper it becomes, the more it is used.
Politics › Re: Buba Marwa: If Cannabis Is Legalised, Nigeria Becoming Den Of Junkies Criminals by Jman06(m): 12:24pm On May 27, 2021
Some of you here are just ignorantly typing jargon in support of legalizing cannabis. We know cannabis has many health benefits, but how about the many negative effectshuh

Nigeria is not ripe for legalizing medical cannabis! We have not been able to regulate other ethical therapeutic drugs like opioids, now some people are advocating to add cannabis to list legally.

We don't have enough psychiatric hospitals and psychiatrists to handle the psychiatric problems that would result from legalizing cannabis.

Our healthcare system is poor, how do we intend to handle health problems like hypertension and the rest that would be magnified when cannabis become legal?

Until we get to that stage when drugs are properly regulated in such a way that use of such drugs is solely on the prescription of a trained professional and dispensary is also done by a trained pharmacist, with a system to keep track of how such drugs are used, please we don't need it legalized for now!!!

If he was plain Mr Attahiru , a level 8 civil servant who died in a car crash near Jere on the road to Kaduna from Abuja in bad weather, you won't be shouting conspiracy. You would blame the weather.

The recently deceased COAS was not very effective against Boko....after all army bases in the NE were overran under his watch.

As for Shekau...Shekau's boys killed Shekau. Boko Haram has been divided for a long time. Both ISWAP and Boko main have been at each other's throats for a while. So what happened is not surprising.

When all is said and done...accident na accident. Azazi and Yakowa died in an accident. Badeh died because our security services are not too good securoing lives and property, and any way they did get his killers....

And soldier come, soldier go. All in all, the Boko problem remains, and it is bgger than Shekau, Attahiru, et al.
Of course, we'll call it accident! Even when explosives get planted in the plane and programmed to explode at a specific time, it is still an accident!
