The problem with Nigeria is that people will go on self medication spree even if chloroquine happens to be effective against the virus thereby endangering their lives!

I don't know why the federal government and ministry of health have refused to make laws that would discourage self medication in the country!

We can put a stop to self medication by ensuring that only registered pharmacies manned by superintendent pharmacists dispense drugs only to patients that come with doctor's prescriptions. Let's stop untrained people from hawking and selling drugs indiscriminately JUST FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING PROFITS.

If we have only registered pharmacies dispensing drugs, it will be easier to regulate their activities so that if any of such pharmacies sell prescription-only drugs without prescription, they'll be punished accordingly!

Honestly! Our brainless leaders were not proactive and that was why those people got into the country unchecked. If we had right thinking guys at the helm of affairs, they would have acted on time to prevent the virus from spreading as much as it has.

All these people that came into the country from Europe, America and China within the last 2 weeks should please do the country and world a favour by self-isolating!

They should realize that this COVID-19 is not a death sentence as many infected people survive and develop immunity against the virus. Let them consider the plight of our aged people, those in ICU and all those with compromised immune system.

This is the end of March as well, and the Fed Govt is still adamant on not paying lecturers their salaries.

So you cannot expect lecturers to suddenly rise up and become supermen and women when it's not like they are on strike for any other selfish interest.

Rather, you should be blaming the FG for not consdiering the plight of lecturers in this corona virus crisis period, and pay them their Feb Salaries in order to stock their homes. These people have families who depend on them.
