Christianity EtcRe: Question For Joagbaje by Joagbaje(m): 9:00am On Apr 13, 2011
Are you saying only the dead man's sister and you know about this supernatural act ? So no news channels were interested in this story ? Why would you want to keep such an 'act of power' quiet ?
So what proof do you want? You ask for proof , I gave you a number now you are asking for tv report. I've always questioned the sincerity of your demand. Do you want truth or not? .

Let me add this. There are mighty miracles that Gid wrought through others in CEC. we are not as carnal to be looking for publicity . We project the message of jesus and not ourselves. The president of Ghana Got healed in the healing school . Did you hear it on tv? But we watched the testimony . You guys look at this things from feebly perspective. A dead was raised , we should gather newspaper. We are too busy.

Christianity EtcToday’s Miracles! – Pastor Chris by Joagbaje(op): 4:38am On Apr 13, 2011
John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father

Some people have asked how come we don’t see in our day the manifestation of mighty works and miracles as witnessed in the Old Testament. “How come we don’t see such acts as the Red Sea splitting open, and the sun standing still?” they ask. First of all, these things still happen, but they happen only when necessary. Splitting the Red Sea had to do with God bringing the children of Israel out of Egypt into the Promised Land. After Moses performed this mighty miracle, Joshua, Elijah, and Elisha also did at different times.

When Jesus came however, He did something higher than all what those previous prophets did. Instead of splitting the water, He walked on it (Matthew 14:25). That’s a greater miracle and it’s in the New Testament. The others split the water, because they never conceived the possibility of walking on water, but God was taking His children one step at a time.

For Philip, it was much better because he didn’t even have to walk on water; he was carried by the Spirit from where he was to where he needed to be:

And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea” (Acts 8:39-40)

If you study the progression carefully, you’ll discover that we actually have greater miracles today than they had back then.

Comparing yesterday’s miracles with today’s miracles is like comparing yesterdays cars with today’s cars; the difference is clear. The Bible tells us how Jesus healed certain people without necessarily meeting them. He healed the centurion’s servant who wasn’t within proximity. Today, we transmit some of our outreach meetings live via satellite and the internet, and it’s glorious to see how in a single meeting, people in different parts of the world receive miracles simultaneously. These are today’s miracles.

Understand that we’re the ones at the last lap of the relay; the generation that will see the rapture of the Church. Therefore, we should expect to experience a greater move of the Spirit like never before in our day. We’re going to thoroughly shake this world for Christ, and after then, the rapture will take place. So expect greater miracles in our day!

Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for the revelation of your Word that confirms indeed that the glory of the latter is greater than that of the former, as evidenced by the miracles that are wrought today by your Spirit, through faith in the Name of Jesus. I’m properly positioned to experience the greater and, mighty move of the Spirit in my day and will do wonders in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

surveying the spiritual state of the countries in the southern African sub-region. Central to all this was the state of evangelicalism in all these countries. Nation after nation reported on the arrival of “Nigerian religious junk” that was changing the landscape of what there once was of evangelicalism
It is easy to criticise others. Leave judgrment to christ. But at least they are doing something .Jesus would rather have you go out there and preach the gospel to sinners than sit in front of a computer doing busy body. I would rather give thanks to God for blessing Nigeria with such great grace to have the gospel so rooted here and also for raising international ministers from Nigeria to other nations of the world. It is rather answers to the cry of many. Europeans brought religion to africa. But Nigerians are taking the gospel to them. With the supernatural. I once heard juinita bynum talked about the fast food anointing in America, she said "if you want to see the raw power of God , Go to africa! .

All these "old time religion" stuff is the junk. The gospel must be preached with power. The only way you can prove that the Jesus that died Is still alive is to show his power. Deliverance ,healings and the miraculous are integral part of the gospel . Without supernatural, Christianity will not be different from any dead religion.

Migration of Nigerian folks to Ukraine , Europe ,Asia etc is answer to the cry of many. It is not about money. Do you know how much it cost to hold a crusade. It's 20 times more than the offering people will give there. This is even an understatement. Apart from money spent on publicity which is mega.  To hire a chair alone cost about 40 naira. And many may not even give offering offerings  yet they sit on 40 naira chair. This is outside other rentals of  Equipment and logistics, generator ,venue payment, power cable etc which cost several millions. But a carnal minded man sees crowd in a crusade and he feels wao! The man of God will make a lot of money here. how carnal? Crusades take a lot of sacrifice financially and otherwise. Men are sacrificing a lot to reach the world for christ. Jesus said "Go ye into all the world and preach"  are you going Ye? Jesus is coming soon.

I have just returned from a consultative meeting in South Africa where the first day was spent surveying the spiritual state of the countries in the southern African sub-region.
Leave consultations , Go ye! . All these  spiritual dictective works is sign of idleness for a christian as far as I'm concerned. If any one preaches the gospel with wrong motive. Leave him alone, you rather go and preach with a right motive.

Philippians 1:15-18
15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: 16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: 17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. 18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

You can see.Leave such alone , you rather do your own work for the lord. A man that is busy for christ does not engage in busybody work.

1 Peter 4:15

15 But let none of you suffer . . .  as a busybody in other men's matters.

Reinhard bonke and Benny hinn could have been termed as extorters of money , for holding crusades in Africa as well. It is the work of the holy spirit.
Christianity EtcRe: Man Cut Off Manhood To Stop Fornication by Joagbaje(m): 7:36am On Apr 12, 2011
You can't cut off a demon. If a man has problem with the spirit of lust, cutting off his flesh is not solution. Lust is in the heart. He can only get rid of it by applying the word or by casting the spirit of lust out.
Christianity EtcHigher Levels Of Revelations – Pastor Anita by Joagbaje(op): 7:31am On Apr 12, 2011
Ephesians 4:13
…Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ

If you observe the Apostle Paul’s communication in his Epistles to the Churches, you’ll discover that the level of their revelation determined how he communicated with them. To the Corinthian Church for example, he said

“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able (1 Corinthians 3:1-2).

Paul chided them for walking as babes in Christ whose understanding of spiritual realities was yet shallow. Thus, he fed them with milk; baby food, because they couldn’t grasp the higher revelations – meat of God’s Word. How important it is for us constantly grow in Christ and increase our knowledge of the Word of God! Too many in the Church today fit the description Paul gave of the Corinthian Church; they’re still in the babyhood stage of Christianity. But God’s purpose is not for us to be spiritual toddlers, but to grow unto perfection and function at higher levels of His truth.

It brings to mind the words of Jesus in Matthew 1:26 for example, where He referred to healing as the children’s bread. In there words, the babes in Christ – spiritual infants – are the ones that require healing. Whereas the Lord’s desire is for you to mature in the things of the Spirit, and come up to a level where you no longer fall sick, requiring healing! It’s a level where you’re fully conscious that divine health is at work in you NOW, because the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, quickens, vitalizes, repairs, and energizes your mortal body (Romans 8:11).

God wants you to function in the higher revelations of His Word; and the level of truth in which you function is largely dependent on how acquainted you are with the Spirit of God and His Word. The Holy Spirit is your Teacher. Ask Him today, and He’ll teach you the Word of God and impart higher revelations to your spirit that’ll cause you to walk in His greater levels of wisdom, power, and glory

tbjfansuk:
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's mentor late Bishop Idahasa stood in Tafabalewa Square and rain insult upon insult on TB Joshua calling him names. He prophesied then that "by this time next year TB Joshua will die" that was said by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's mentor late Bishop Idahosa. Exactly one year Idahosa died; Who is the false prophet herehuh?

TB Joshua has helped millions and still helping people
wink wink wink wink wink
If you say one shouldn't judge , I think you should avoid falling into thesame trap. I haven't seen a reason binlically to call TB joshua a devil. Those who call him so are only judging by senses and hear say. We should judge according to truth. The man believes in Jesus as his lord. He may not be perfect in action and doctrine. Bit that is not enough reason to label him evil. Early apostles were neither perfect too.

But I think it will be wrong of you to call idahosa or any one who has condemned TB joshua as false. They walked with the level of knowledge they had.Idahosa had been called juju man also in the days if his miracle crusades. So let's leave men of God alone. As long as they believe in the lordship of christ , we have no right to call them otherwise . It's God that should judge the heart.

Christianity EtcYour Responsibility In Discipleship – Pastor Chris by Joagbaje(op): 8:31pm On Apr 10, 2011
Matthew 28:19 MSG
Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Our opening verse above underscored your responsibility in discipleship; you’re to teach and train those in your world in the way of life – the God-life. So, when Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” as rendered in the King James Version, He called attention to your responsibility in discipleship; your calling to teach and train others, and show them how to live.

Every child of God has a responsibility to disciple someone else. Lets again observe the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19, this time, reading into the twentieth verse: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and , lo. I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Notice that He says, “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…” That’s means whatever Jesus has commanded us, we’re to tell others to do the same, and teach them how to do it.

This is why each one of us must disciple others. To disciple means to teach or to train. It also means to convert to doctrines or principles. It describes an endeavour where you go beyond yourself to guide a young uncommitted believer into a committed and growing Christian life. It involves you taking interest in someone who hasn’t known much about Jesus, though he may have given his heart to Christ for salvation. You can help that one through follow up and intercession to stand firm in the faith. You can disciple him or her to become committed in going to Church; you can help that one find his way.

You may say, “But I’m still a new Christian. I only gave my life to Christ last year; what can I possibly teach someone else?” Well, you don’t have to wait till you’ve been in Christ ten years to disciple someone else. Once you understand that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life, and you’ve made the declaration of His Lordship and a commitment to him, you become responsible for someone else who hasn’t known that much.

Take up that responsible position of leadership today, for that’s who you are – a leader and a responsible Christian, trusted by God to train, mentor, and nurture someone else to stand strong in the Lord. What a great responsibility!

Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the great responsibility of training and mentoring others to be committed to the things of the Spirit. I declare that I have the divine wisdom and power of the Spirit to guide these ones aright in the way of the Lord, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I agree that some people might have communicated the issue of tithes wrongly through threats etc,Just like salvation could have been communicated wrongly by threats . But that doesn't take away. The blessings of paying tithes. Besides when a christian give for any reason ,he is not disadvantaged. He is blessed for every giving. It is a lie of the devil that people get impoverished by giving to God. For every giving there is blessing. Except if the giving was done through wrong motives like the Pharisees.
