Opinionated:
That TSTV has disappointed many Nigerians is not in doubt. However, what is news is the explanation of the company’s management on what has been wrong with it so far and what they are doing to fix things. Next is an open letter to Nigerians by the MD/CEO of TSTV, Dr Bright Echefu:

Source: TSTV is Back with Exciting News
Naming that company TSTV, a name that closely resembles an existing company in the same business, is underhanded. It is a bad idea that creates trust issues for TSTV from day one. Yes, DSTv can sue.

It's easy to blame the ladies, but if Nigerian men stop aiding and abetting this passive extortion, the ladies will have no choice but to stop it. A woman asking you to pay for her transport fare is one big red flag that any self-respecting man should never condone.

What I also know for a fact is that a girl interested in a man will be in her best behaviour, and blatant extortion masked under "date" will be the least of her focus. Men should also learn to read passive cues to determine if the girl wants to use you as a cash machine.

In the end, a woman will only go as far as permitted. The choice is yours

I agree, Mike. It is insane for one to believe that a celebrity will ask for money when you are not the likes of Dangote, Otedola...etc.
Being foolish or greedy is not an offence. In fact, greed exists to some extent in everyone. That kid deserves to go to jail. Mike is wrong.

I wonder when men became this weak.

You have evidence that your wife is hoeing around and you're still asking what to do....

I honestly don't know what to say to you. If you end up dead because of this adulterous woman, rest in peace...
Even women are complaining that real men are disappearing.

Pls I want to take a boldness step and I will not mind where it can lead to. I have to open an account now to post this. My wife is also a guest of nairaland and she will be seeing this post. ...
You need to take charge. So far, you're not doing that. Arrest the colleague? For what crime exactly?

Your options
1. Divorce her.
2. Let it go and continue with the marriage.

Go for option 1 if you don't want a cheating wife. You have asked her to stop and she has refused. I believe she won't. If she promises not to do it again, he will just hide it better.

Go for option 2 if you're okay with an open marriage - a marriage where both of you are allowed to step out under set rules.

The ball is in your court.

Hmmmmm,I get your point..However entertainment talkshows only do one thing and that is to massage the Ego of their Guest.

They don't put their guests in a corner sort of..They can blast and make jest of anybody but not their guest..I don't know the reason why..Maybe they don't want the guest to feel awkward being made jest of on National TV..

Even Trevor Noah does the same. .He is almost of the side of his guest and ask "soft" questions and massages their Ego sort of..

My take though
I see. I'm not a TV person - never watched any until this one.

Does he?I don't think so..The show isn't a political show or something..He is only meant to entertain his audience and not to put the guest on any hot seat whatsoever..

Ask about their exploits and success..Just like the Alibaba show too
I get your point and I agree it's not head-to-head. I actually considered that fact when assessing this show. Still, I think he overdoes it. If you put a public office holder on the podium, there is no reason a burning issue that was widely reported in the papers about his conduct can't be raised briefly. For example, when Babantunde Fowler appeared, he could have asked about the lop-sided recruitment controversy to balance things out a bit. On the rare occasions he does - like when he asked Minister Lai Mohammed when Buhari would return - he prostrated first, albeit jokingly. And then there was the day he said he ran into a man driving a posh car and he parked for the person to have his way. When the person asked him why he was so courteous he said it was because he wanted to buy a similar car. For real? That wasn't a joke - Teju knows of a connection between clearing the road for someone driving a big car and buying it! Exploits and success, yes, but describing them the way Teju does - "I have never seen..." "I have never heard..." "She is the only person that has ever..." - just doesn't work for me.

He is. The only thing wrong with the Teju Babyface Show is the ass-kissing which he overdoes. How he manages to place anyone on a podium and inform them they're a blend of Moses, Jesus, and Mandela! But I guess some will say it's a part of the culture around here.

Daviddson:
Though I always detested the reign of Daura while he held sway over DSS, I see the wisdom in his decision not to appoint a spokesman. We saw how Marylin Ogah who was the spokesperson during the previous regime was made a subject of laugh and ridicule due to the propaganda her boss were giving to give Nigerians. In fact, surprisingly I'd believed that Marilyn was DSS DG unknown to me she was simply a mouthpiece, and most had no say over whatever happens there. The woman became a scapegoat who bore all the insults and condemnation.

That hasn't happened so far since 2015. It's complicated sha lipsrsealed
Ogar was the architect of her own misfortunes. She started well. Then she accepted gratification from the PDP and had to deliver. That's when she began to insult the intelligence of Nigerians daily. And, no, she was a deputy director, so she must have had some say in policy.

Demmzy15:
The reason I don't believe these so-called news is because they are void of facts. How can Baghdad, Juba, Tegucigalpa, San Salvador, Mosul and other murder stricken cities be better than Lagos?

That's how one nonsense published that Nigeria has superceded India in poverty (!?) It just doesn't make sense, Indians are well over a billion(1.3 billion) and 60% of these population don't have access to toilets which is around 780 million people. So if 780 million people don't have a basic structure as a toilet, how on earth does Nigeria a country of 200 million people have more living in poverty? angry

Seriously, I smell a big conspiracy.

Anyways, Baba Buhari till 2023
I don't think there's a conspiracy. Yes, they're probably wrong about Nigeria having more poor people than India, but as for Lagos, security is not the only criterion used. For example, apart from Juba, the cities you mentioned have fairly stable electricity. There are other issues like access to water, roads, ease of doing business, etc.

It takes personal devotion, discipline and understanding to correctly practice and abide by certain codes.
Being a member alone doesn't guarantee that.
Generally speaking, you're right. There's luck too for it to "work" for you. It's the few who master personal discipline and get lucky that are usually held up as examples that it works. This is the case with all creeds and ideologies that make promises.

I wasn't talking about peoples' personal attitudes as a matter of fact I know a couple of ill mannered masons, mostly politicians, of course there must be Judas in every 12 as the saying goes
One Judas among 12? You kidding me? Masons are like other people. Nigerian Masons are like other Nigerians. That means Nigerian Masons are different from Masons you will find elsewhere, just like Nigerian Reverend Fathers and pastors are different from clerics elsewhere and can scam you if you don't watch them well.

I think people join secret societies like Freemasonry in a bid to acquire power, to expand their view. I doubt most of them find any power and improve their lives from them anyway.
