We quite often didn't. Fashola was the master of opacity. A lot of people and groups complained then and demanded accountability from the Fashola administration, but folks asked them to keep quiet, that Fashola "was working". It was the same folks who later started making noise when Ambode or whoever disclosed that Fashola spent N70m on a website - as if a website can't cost N70m. I'm no fan of Ambode - or Fashola, for that matter - I'm just responding to the point you made.

I can't read the screenshots now since I'm on a PC and not a phone. Yes, you're right. You can. I think it comes from the fact that most team names have the plural form (Super Eagles, Indomitable Lions, etc). I guess it comes down to preference in cases like this.

But why do you think Senator Adeleke, who appears unprepared for the job, a man who could not even pass a single paper in WAEC, would do a better job and make a good governor compared to Oyetola at these difficult times?

The good thing about running against APC with the level of failure they have nationally and in Osun, someone like Adeleke with F9 in 7 subjects, unarticulated manifesto and with moves like Nicki Minaj will win. The people are saying anything even Davido as Governor but APC.

That was me in 1999 after listening to Obasanjo's inauguration speech. But we saw what happened. For Buhari, my hopes weren't that high since he had never really articulated what he would do as president. He just wanted to be president to complete what was taken from him in 1985. But I expected him to do well in the area of security and in spite of all his sectional and inflammatory statements over the years I never thought he was this ethnocentric. Yar'Adau and Jonathan did not disappoint me since I expected nothing from that clueless duo.

But I know better now. Yes, change can come if we get a good leader but I'm not holding my breath. Nothing I see around me convinces me that this country will get it right in my lifetime.
