you probably saw the signals that the guy will cheat you later but you will ignore those signals because you love him and you 'love is blind'. If your love makes you marry a man that's gonna cheat you, that love should make you accept his cheating ways. More often than not, these things are easy to see before marriage but the 'locers' dont care at the time. I have a friend who constantly cheated on his wife. But she saw the kind of guy he was before they got married. She actually met him and snatched him from another girl he was dating at the time. Now, the marriage is completely chaotic and she has packed out. You reap what you sow. |
That bbc news link was quite enlightening. I did not know that there were such negotiations and discussions. Effectively, the British reneged on an agreement. Mugabe was playing politics with the land. The people of Zimbabwe suffer. So, both the British and Mugabe are directly, by their actions or lack of it, responsible for the sufferings of ordinary Zimbabweans. na wa oh |
what I give as offering is between me and God. I have no need to advertise it to anyone |
Na so these girls dey do. After, dem go dey complain say men no good. dem no know say na nemesis dey catch up with them. Where she from come sef? |
are you intending to tell a 27-year-old security man not to have sex or how/who to have sex with? |
Whilst there may not be anything implicitly wrong with inter-faith marriages, marrying within the faith will at least make for less conflicts and friction within the household. LOVE CANNOT, ON IT'S OWN, MAKE A FAMILY WORK WELL AS A UNIT |
Cultural differences will bring friction to the marriage. Love is not the only thing that sustains a marriage. Cultural and social beliefs will also impact on the relationship as it grows. Find out from those who have tried it before. It hardly ever works out in the end is what almost every experience tends to indicate. I have seen such start and end over the years and seen why they seem to always end. It's an extremely difficult thing to work out. Mind you, nothing is impossible. |
aloib:yes. a lot of ignorance. Internet is a real leveller: some of us probably think we are so much higher than others when we dont even know them and we probably can only aspire to what they are. I wonder how many of those who live around us where we are now that we are above. We seem to always assume that we are better than others when we think of Nigerians. Aren't we just the high and mighty? |
Banderas:NO!!! You're the bumbling fool who thinks its fashionable for him to join the band wagon of women who are trying to show how 'wise' they are |
mamaput:My back ground is what it is and you can eat your heart out: you'll NEVER find out. BTW, it's obvious my background is better than your if all you can show for your background is your inability to live within a family unit. I must have done very well for myself as a market trader who crossed the desert to get to Europe. A market trader who spent 3 years in the desert has a good family, is doing well for himself and is giving his children food to eat. It tells me that this 3-year trekking market trader has accomplished something whereas you are unable to do a thing as easy as maintaining a stable family life while smoking weed around and gallivanting from one night club to the other. I dont see any kids who dont eat in the world so it's not such an accomplishment that your kids are eating. Is that your major accomplishment in life? |
mamaput:I am a proud Nigerian. What exactly are you? Na me send you message to go born half caste? What exactly can a loose woman like you write that will be useful? If I'm fake, I'm glad I'm not a loose IYA NDAGBE like you. What exactly is your business with what time I come online? Jobless IYA NDAGBE dishing out disgraceful advise to well brought up Nigerians. Go and hang out with your kind and tell yourselves how you'll find the next man in whose home you can spend the next few years |
mamaput:you need not display you stupidity so much. Nairaland is a NIGERIAN discussion forum. YOU!!! need to find out where you belong and go there. BTW, it's not a TREND: it's a thread. |
would you like to post that on a new thread?if your man is perfectly happy at home, he wont cheat on you |
mamaput:I'm wondering what you want here on a Nigerian forum. Why not stick with your likes so you can use them as your standard measure? |
ziddy:this is nothing but an admission that you are not as good as white people na wa oh |
Everybody in Nigeria knows what anyone means when they say half caste |
Easybaby:I was sneaking in to see her because I didn't really fancy her. I just enjoyed the thought of having a discrete thing with an albino. It was just a passing thing; like when I had such a thing with a girl who had a wooden leg. Those are things some boys do for fun ![]() |
As an undergraduate, I used to sneak to Yabatech to meet one albino girl. I wont say we were dating but we met a number of times, when I sneaked to her in the evenings/night, just for fun. I quite enjoyed it because it was unknown to anyone else. I had met her at a party and briefly chatted to her. The fun relationship must have lasted only about 4 or 5 weeks and I stopped it. |
Godsgirl, Your husband, whoever he turns out to be, is a blessed guy. I am blessed to have a woman like you at home. I love her to bits and she knows it but she gives me respect and makes me feel like a king at home. We know that with the way we have our home set up, and with God on our side, we can never go wrong. In every society where the notion of man not being the head of the family is strongly adhered to, family values have plumetted. The man being the head of the family does not make him an authoritarian person. He will always need the support of his intelligent half and together, they will can do exploits. * Please check out the grown up women who advocate that the man is NOT the head of the family and you'll discover that there's hardly any of them who still has her family intact. Those of them who might be recently married; tell them to come back after 10 years of marriage. Family headship is not about superiority or authoritarianism but a symbolic position. |
you guys mean half caste? |
mamaput:Same way you have a nigger as a parent |
Is it possible that a woman would not leave her man for a richer guy? |
Igbobeauty:So because they look at you, they have become perverts ![]() Why dont you stare back at them? Or cover yourself like a woman in purdah; then, no one will be able to see you. Some people for here sef shuoooooo |
samsilo:That is a very good piece of advice |
why would you presume that it's not possible for a man not to cheat on his wife? |
Hopefully, these inter-racial couples will come back here in 4 or 5 years' time to tell us what happened to their marriages. |
Seun:That's great; lose their experience and hire inexperienced ones. When those ones also start demanding recognition, sack them and employ more inexperienced doctors. Seun has got it all perfectly worked out. It doesn't matter to those government officials anyway. The sacked doctors will be better welcomed in Europe or America and when the governemt officials fall ill, they run to Europe or America to be treated by the doctors who are now being better treated by those countries. It's a great scenario, isn't it? |
