mimilyrics: Ideally, you should have it on your person/card/account or have evidence that it has gone towards your school/travel expenses just in case it is needed at the POE. I choose to assume that that was what the poster meant when that comment was made - maybe something different was meant though. To your last statement… yes that question wasn’t genuine. You do read from a lot of people here asking that question or asking if a school ask for deposit before CAS, these are people with untouchable loans. If you have genuine money it doesn’t matter if school ask for deposit or not. |

You know what they mean when they ask that question
But let's pretend
If they are truly using the funds for living expenses in the UK i.e accommodation they should have an evidence (rent agreement etc) to show incase that is requested for at whatever time.
If not OYO is the case
Cheers Thanks for this |

bigtt76: 1. How will the student pay the 50% tuition during enrollment? 2. How will the student pay for accommodation or other living expenses when they arrive UK?
Of course, a student with genuine POF would need to draw from it, convert part of it to cash before traveling or would they have to rely on the ever delaying Form A for these or depend on the N20 limit Naira MasterCard? Except I'm missing something though. We can’t keep pretending about this duchess90: Hello

Chisimdili: So someone cannot take out funds from the POF to pay for accommodation or decide to pay up the balance of school fees, while living the actual leaving expenses still intact? This post here explains exactly why I asked that question so let’s stop pretending. duchess90: Hello

bigtt76: How do you leave funds intact until you get to the UK when in actual fact you are meant to use same funds for your fees and living expenses? These POF packaging thing is going to ruin us all soon if care is not taken.
Your POF is meant to fund your school fees, living cost and other expenses, please try and get funds out of it before your trip ooo! I’m not sure I understand your explanation, apart from maybe paying school fees from Nigeria what other living expenses spending are you carrying out from Nigeria? And what do you mean by the last line of your post?…taking fund out before the trip.. |

Ethanuella: Helloooo Uncle/aunty Justwise....
Like I mentioned earlier, inquire further and pls don't quote me your findings. In fact, don't quote me again.
If you cannot sync my response(s) to the post, ask all the educational institutions that you attended to review their licence(s) with the appropriate bodies.
Until then, abandon your moniker because it doesn't suit you. You can't read non understand jack hence your struggle here. |

Ethanuella: If you are as intelligent as you are trying so hard to portray, it wouldn't be hard to note that my comment synced with the topic posted.
Now let me explain if you don't understand.
“All asylum and human rights claims are carefully considered in accordance with our international obligations. Each individual assessment is made against the background of relevant caselaw and the latest country information. The New Plan for Immigration will fix the broken immigration system and expedite the removal of those with no right to be here.”
The quote right here is the last paragraph in that topic. The emboldened is the main message I passed across with an emphasis on the word "latest".
No matter how you find your way to the UK, there will always be a new policy enacted by the govt that "might" mar your chances of living there (the quoted word is heavily stated). Now, this new policy can come in different ways, and not necessarily deportation.
If you still do not understand, read along. I'll help you stay true to your moniker.
There was a similar story posted on nairaland as regards a woman whose spouse with whom she accessed the UK through died, and the govt suddenly passed a law that necessitated her and others who lost their spouse (that brought them into the country) to pay a certain fee or risk deportation. You are really full of it, so how does this relate to student visa and economy as i asked you before? Were they deported while holding student visa or because the UK economy was in difficult state? Were you able to read and comprehend this section of the post? One 40-year-old mother of three British children has previously been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. She fled Nigeria after being persecuted for being a Christian in a majority Muslim area and travelled to the UK in 2009 on a false passport. She was pregnant at the time, was imprisoned for travelling on the false passport, and gave birth while in prison. |

BorisJohnson: Resigning as Leader of the Conservatives. A little bit different from resigning as PM. (A bit tricky, but not exactly the same thing) Boris Johnson time as prime mister and party leader is over, he is only there just for time until the autumn to allow a Tory leadership contest to take place in the summer. I have never seen someone as disgraceful as this clown. The only difference between him and Trump is just insurrection. They both lie a lot, i mean a lot!, married too many times and cheat on their wives, same hair style and cling to power. |

Ethanuella: That's what I've been telling people about the current "UK rush". The UK economy is heavily tax reliant hence the open arms to foreign students, especially with the introduction of the 2 year postgraduate study visa.
I wouldn't be surprised if in the coming years, a policy that wouldn't be favourable to those that japaed through the study route will be enacted.
But what do I know? Everyone is trying to escape from the hell that Buhari has made Nigeria become.
Anything for sanity, security, and good income Abeg. Find out first why they were deported after more than 10yrs in the UK. Here you are talking about student visa and economy. |

BorisJohnson: With ALL humility, oga Justwise EVERYTHING Erico said about SIA here is untrue in 2022 Britain. The only semblance of truth is the bit where is says to do the work, you must have right to work however, he invalidated that little truth by saying the right to work takes more than 5 years. Surely that isn't accurate, is it? If you have not lived in the UK for 5yrs you can still get SIA BUT you have to get criminal record from Nigeria. When i applied for SIA as a student i was only 2yrs old here, so i have to get criminal record from Nigeria. That was why i said that he is right in some things he said. |

xavuv: straight to the issue.
after paying a hefty sum of NGN as first instalment for a Canada Work permit visa, my travel consultant, who claimed he has a contact (an immigration lawyer) in Canada sent me the doc, a POE letter. now asking for second installment payment. Even though I'm yet to do and submit medicals, biometrics, police report.
He (travel consultant ) said that we will now file for visa with this document along with other docs like medical report etc
i have my doubts. pls help verify its authenticity, especially the UCI number and the work permit application number.
i have made some research about it though. You have been scammed, stop wasting more money and time, Nigerians who refused to do their own research will keep getting scammed. |

debow11: Hello People, Kindly assist with this issue
When filling the dependant form, I was asked about the VISA expiry date ( meanwhile VISA wasn't yet given), this I thought was the passport expiry date. (4years from now, 2026) [img][/img]
What will you advise I do , as I've paid for the IHS already ( 4years instead of 1year)
Cos if I seek for refund it will take time and I don't have enough fund now to pay for anew application for the dependant.
Or can the IHS fee be usable for the number of years if a VISA extension is granted.
Thanks Use course end date as its written in the CAS |
