TonyyS: okay thankx. so what can I do? should I just add the 3 months payslip which she has already or just dont bother adding and just submit the bank statement only? What you are focusing on is not actually that important, you need to focus on your own ability to finance the trip and demonstrate it. Like I explained to you before..yes you submit the bank statement and payslips but the onus is on you to convince the ECO that you have strong ties to Nigeria. |

Can you help clear something specifically for me?
My sponsor is a well known British film producer and came 2nd in a national award (Black British business award) but at the moment she is freelancing and do not have payslips (3months) but will be providing me with her bank statement for the last 6 months. Do u think only her bank statement would work or does payslip really matter? can u or anyone advice please? Yes bank statement without paysilp can pull through though explanation has to be given, you should also consider your own financial capability with evidence to back it up, its very difficult for an adult to be sponsored for a holiday to places to the UK, US and other developed countries. |

claremont: It's not as simplistic as that, and I have had this debate with colleagues in the past. The stabbings and violence amongst some young black men in London is linked to social deprivation and systemic discrimination, and several studies have been done to showcase this. When this trend of violence and stabbings was prevalent in Glasgow years ago amongst white youths, no one blamed their parents for it.
We will be threading on dangerous waters if we start blaming parents for the actions of their kids, it's not as simplistic as it sounds. There are much deeper factors at play here. This sort of blame shifting is exactly why this daily senseless killing is still going on. This is blacks killing blacks, this is not the case of young blacks going out to demonstrate about deprivation and discrimination. Why is this senseless killings not common among Asians? Asians not discriminated against? Any areas a large number of blacks move in violent crime goes up, gang related crimes go up infrastructures destroyed. When blacks are killing blacks black lives doesn't matter but if a white man was involved then black life matters. We keep lying to yourselves why blaming others. |

Fekeri: @Justwise and other Gurus!
I have been a follower here and the help I got here helped my shenghen visas previously. And although I was denied UK Visa last November for a very flimsy reason that I received 7 months salary in 6 months resulting from the fact that July Salary was paid in August 2nd and August was paid in the last day of August bringing in two salary credits in August. I was shocked that the Eco did not consider the series of payments that run from June to November but questioned that I had more credits that my 6 months salary even when I explained the other small deposit of 110K which is far less than my monthly salary.
Now I have received invitation from a company in the UK to continue our discussions and planning for a project involving a machine that we intend to Purchase. And although I own the company, we design salary structure for everyone including myself to ensure company's finances are not mismanaged.
And since the company will be responsible for the ticket and accommodation would you advice I take part of the responsibility personally, given the question how much you intend to spend for the trip.
Your input is needed to avoid any form of mistake.
Thanks. Yes you have to so as to show your tie to Nigeria |

NanaOne1: Hello Justwise and house members,
I am planning to apply for a uk visit visa for myself, wife and new born baby in May for 11 days visit. I have visited Portugal (2017), Usa (2018 visa expiring in 2023), and Uk in 2016 but my wife has not traveled before and was refused 4 years ago when she was a student and not married.
I work at a bank with a montly salary of 480,000 naira excluding other allowances like clothing, rent, fuel and others and my wife is a CSO at a financial institution earning 68,481 naira monthly. I have an account balance of 1,500,000 and my wife also has about the same amount. I also have landed properties and cars I use for Uber. I think less than or almost 2 months of my salary will be enough for the trip
Please I hope my wife's previous refusal will not be a major issue with our visa applications and if there is any advise you will give me, please do Thank you No as long as she declares it and the refusal was not as a result of fraud/fraudulent activity |

Heritagee: Almost everybody saw it as being heartless and irresponsible then but she needed to do it to support her husband who was studying then. The boy was left with a grandma and her niece who did excellent even more than what the mother would have done . After all, he joined his parents after 4 months. It is not easy for any mother to leave her child/ren. I left my 4-year old boy with my mum and I still feel terrible about it, cried for days after my arrival but it's for better. Na condition dey make crayfish bend o my brother, no mother will be happy to leave her child/ren in the care of someone else That will not be a difficult decision for an irresponsible mother. Mothers have this unique bond with their babies which nobody else can replicate or even replace especially at that tender age. To hell with that foreign education if my baby will be left behind, how on earth will you even sleep with your two eyes closed if that baby is not next to you? You people keep going on about sacrifices and hard decisions..let me ask you this..will anybody die if you don't travel abroad that year? |

marylandcakes: I understand where you are coming from, but your statements come more from your heart and more from an emotional point of view. Sometimes we have to strip out the emotions and make practical decisions based on the reality of the situations.
I don’t know much about rules of visa applications that’s why I don’t contribute much to it, but this lady says that money is a limiting factor at the present time now, she has to join her husband to help and then bring her baby later. Some people on this thread have already advised that there will be no problem in bringing her baby later. I’m sure this lady, as a mother already feels bad enough, you don’t have to make her feel worst than she already feels. In her mind this is the sacrifice that she has got to make now for a better future for that baby. In years to come when she tells her child the story of her sacrifice, that child will thank her, adore her and look up to her. Cos like most people have said on this thread it’s a heartbreaking decision for any parent to make. Quite frankly I don't think you get me and you are mixing two issues together here, leaving a two months baby to travel abroad for studies is cruel and irresponsible, yes it's not against immigration rule but it's against humanity. I did not advise the lady against traveling to join the husband, I was only telling her to wait abit as job is hard to come by now in the UK and that I can't think of any justifiable reasons why those 3 young kids should be left behind. You can't make a sacrifice in detriment of your own kids, yes I know some Nigerians who left their kids in Nigeria or send them back to school in Nigeria but those kids are fully formed young adults and not babies who can barely walk let a lone talk. |

marylandcakes: Nigerians and their judgemental attitudes sha , anyway God deh.
If the conditions in Nigeria was okay , I don’t think people will be making certain decisions lightly. Different strokes for different individuals. There are parents in the uk that have their kids here and send them back to Nigeria for the gran parents to look after. That doesn’t make them bad parents.
It will be much better if we try to respect the decisions that people make instead of judging them. The conditions in the UK are much better now but in the 70s and 80s it was very difficult to get childcare here, parents had to leave their kids with nannies outside of their counties to enable them work and school, does that mean that they were bad parents? “Na codition make crayfish bend” . Call it judgmental or whichever name you like I'm cool with it but my point still remain that a 2 month old baby should not be treated that way. How will you keep in touch with a two month old baby as a mother? You can't call to speak to him/her, you can't even do video call because that little baby will not recognise you. This has very little to do with Nigerian condition but a lot to do with a flawed decision. |

RalphJean: No matter what Standard is used for measurement. Infact, even if there is no standard. Let’s call a spade a spade. It is inhuman and irresponsible for a parent to leave a 2-month old baby (nay, NEONATE) to go hustle. It’s not fair on the little one. I can go as far as calling it child abuse. |

Summary: Me, wife, son have been here. We are gathering money now to apply for daughter (aged 10).
At no point did anyone ever ask why we were leaving the children.
But ...wait a minute. Did I read that your hubby’s T4 Visa is for only 1 year? That should be 18months visa. |
