An artist would lose their romance appeal if they disclose their relationship. It's why these Koreans actors never disclose their partners because majority of their fans are in a relationship with them in their minds. |

pocohantas: If rich men take multiple wives, how is that fewer options for women? It is poor men that would be left with little options.
That said, RICH is relative. To some babes, 1kva Senwei generator and Gotv is rich. Some others is 2.5kva with Dstv and Corolla. So, there is a "rich" man for different classes of Nigerian women. Fewer options because on 2 percent of 70 million bank account owners have more than 500k in their account. I really hope that reality is how you paint it online, at least, for una sake. |
Family › Re: There Are More Broke Men On Nairaland Than Women. by Karleb(m): 7:41am On Jul 05, 2023 |
pocohantas: There is nothing to say the men are extremely broke and the women are hardworking. However, I do agree that the men without means makeup the most reactive men on Nairaland.
This everyday 100k, 200k argument boils down to our economy. In a country where someone saves for a year to buy a used iPhone X with 71% battery life, it is only normal that people think 120k a month on feeding is LUXURY. It is indeed luxury for the majority and majority carries the vote.
As long as the girl doesn't saddle an innocent man with these food bills, she is good to go.
This is why I will always endorse hypergamy. It keeps everyone sane. Especially the man. The bolded sent me back to primary school. Hypergamy also means men takes up multiple wives and fewer options for women. We have very few rich men, as oppose to what Twitter may say. Rich people should marry rich people. |
Politics › Re: The Ugly Trend And Concequences Of Yoruba Youths Migration by Karleb(m): 9:16pm On Jul 04, 2023 |
mokwechineme: Its no longer news that southwest is becoming the poverty capital of the nation. If u go beyond the capital and into the villages of Ogun, Ondo, Osun and most especially Kwara and Ekiti, you will shed tears for the inhabitants of these areas. There u see people eating poverty as food. The worst part is there are very low remittances from family members who have managed to travel outside these areas. A typical yoruba youth once he managed to leave these areas finds it difficult connecting back to his root. You have lots and lots of these villagers scavenging for food and there is very little to scavenge because the leadership has very minimal presence outside the state capitals
A young yoruba fron Ogun, Ondo etc will arrive Lagos and automatically becomes a Lagos indigene abandoning his root and people back home.
There should be awareness among Yoruba youths to arresting this very ugly trend because parents after struggling to train their kids will be left abandoned by their children Your head is not correct. |

Romance › Re: What Do Men Benefit From Marriage by Karleb(m): 8:22pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
zed7: Most of the people who grew up in single and dysfunctional homes are growing up to question marriage. Can't blame them, they never had the privilege of a proper home and a mentor.
Benefits of marriage to a man:
He has kids to call him father
Gets a woman to give up her name for his
He gets to have a loving family he can actually call his own.
Only a lazy man complains about providing for a woman who sacrifices her life for him and the kids who are his legacy.
A man gets companionship and sex in a committed and happy union like marriage.
When you grew up in a decent home and you in turn find a decent woman, you'll enjoy marriage as a man. Providing is the least concern of an ambitious man. What matters most is finding a woman who isn't ill mannered and a hôe. Your first paragraph is an unreasonable one. The guy asked a legit question. |

tensazangetsu20: I was asked for Spanish proficiency o. Infact my admission interview was in Spanish. The schools reply your emails in Spanish and everything. I asked about a language course but the school said they don't do that. I think it's better to learn the Spanish in your home country before you go cause even the american exchange students i spoke with all learnt Spanish in America before they went to Chile for their exchange year.
I have actually been planning to move to either Chile or Brazil since 2020 but I didn't have job yet. So when I got job I started saving and when it was enough I started reaching out to schools. Once I knew about the language barrier and that it will be needed I started to learn the language and wait for the next admission session Congratulations bro! |

chukkystar: agreed, people will always fight what they are afraid of so being Autocratic and using Force will never be as effective as Dialogue Honestly bros. That's why I hate how law and order is presented to us. They say if you sin, you get punishment but a little dive into our history as humans will show that you don't punish all sinners and you don't reward all righteous. Life isn't black and white. This is where emotional intelligent becomes an asset but these feminist are blind to this. |

Give them something else in place of what they want. This is what I mean. If they want you to help them ask for a promotion they don't deserve for instance, don't just tell them they don't qualify. Point them to materials they need to level up and tell them you owe them a solid recommendation if they see it through. But if you try to use the brute force approach, they will come for your ass. This is what feminism will not teach you. |
