Hahahahahahaha. I laugh. solmusdesigns: |
Before we concentrate and start attacking him we need to understand, Burutai was not acting of his own accord, he was merely promoting the interests of his overlords that put him in that position. Last I checked, he answers to the President. Last I checked, the President was all about Fulani Hegemony in the affairs of Nigeria. |
This is a good thing that can ensure a lasting solution to the issues at hand. However, if border crossings are left unchecked, we will still have a huge influx of fulani herdsmen from neighbouring countries and this problem may well persist. Remember not all Fulani are killer terrorist herdsmen but all killer terrorist herdsmen are of the Fulani ethnic group. |
Anyone who has followed these events can clearly see that the Nigerian Army shot at peaceful protesters. The Nigeria Army were invited at the behest of the Lagos State Governor. The Lagos State Governor most definitely got instructions or atleast got approval from Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu to invite these soldiers and to use force. Footnote (for fools who may come here - while it is true that the army has a chain of command, how do you explain soldier escorts attached to wealthy civilians and so forth. Omihanifa: |
You are a fool to believe 69.5% of Yorubas are Muslims. Juliusmalema: |
I have never ever doubted the cowardice of the fulanis. They are not brave, they have never been brave. However, I must admit, they are a patient people like the vulture is a patient bird. And they see that the easiest ways to conquer is to divide, they learnt well from the british. One way to think of what may be fuelling this invasion of herdsmen is as a means of truncating Tinubu's presidential ambition. If he supports the fulani invasion, he has lost the Southwest vote, if he does not support the fulani invasion, he has lost the Northern vote. If you look at it this way, then it plays right into the hands of the Fulani Fulani they'll just install another of theirs to succeed Buhari, my guess is El-Rufai or Atiku/Tambuwal (they play both parties). So Tinubu is damned either way and should anything happen to Chief Sunday Igboho, he will be martyred, the Southwest will never forgive Tinubu. If I were Tinubu, I would count my losses and arm groups in the Southwest to fight these invaders to a standstill. But we know Tinubu, he is no hero. He loves power and fame and the fulanis know this and are playing him like a toy. Interesting times ahead but people of the Southwest must remain vigilant and be ready to fight for what is theirs. They must no longer put faith on the government or traditional or religious leaders. Perhaps these events are needed to jolt my people and give them a reality check. Time will tell. madridsta007: |
The problem is that it is still some Yoruba people (some because of religion and others out of pure ignorance) that are selling my people out. If not, then please explain to me how any well meaning Yoruba person will invite a tribe who are historically marauders masking as herdsmen into their own lands, all in the name of being nice and accommodating. I will not be shocked if that man returns to said community within a year from now. For me, the only solution to this is for every Yoruba son and daughter to arm themselves and be ready to defend what is rightfully theirs. Enough is Enough and the longer we delay, the worse it will be. I have said it before and I will say it again. The Hausa-fulani do not understand logic. They are not rational people, if they were they would be seeking a real truce that brings real peace but that is not what they are after because that is not what they seek. They only understand power and force, if you try to dialogue it is perceived as a sign of weakness. No one cares for the average Yoruba in the streets of South west cities or South west villages. We have politicians who are so ambitious, the moon is just their starting point. We have religious leaders who are so charismatic, Martin Luther King does not have nothing on them. We have traditional leaders who.... forgive me these ones are just mere mascots. All of them share one thing in common, they are only leaders in name, they do not understand what true leadership is about. We are clearly a people who have learned nothing from the lessons offered from our history which is why we are on a firm path to repeating history. It is sad but these are the truths, I do not look to any one of the above category of leaders for support or leadership. It is high time Yorubas start to fortify and arm themselves, this is not a war that will be won overnight. We must be resolute and strong if we are to achieve permanent solutions. Optional09: |
Unfortunately, I don't think this will work. Even if you attempt to register herdsmen, I highly doubt that the criminal elements among them will come forth to be registered. In the event of a crime, I also doubt that the registered herdsmen, the leadership of MACBAN and/or any heads of local fulani communities will help to identify and hand them over to the authorities. Then you have the issue of enforcement. For me, the real solution would be for farmer communities to coordinate amongst themselves and setup local vigilante groups that are well armed and well paid. People need to stop looking up to government and start doing things for themselves. Our leaders have shown that it is their priorities first ahead of everyone else's. |
Last I checked, he is a highly successful lawyer who has earned his right to an opinion. He has paid his dues for this country. What have you done? Sammy07: |
No country is perfect but you can't compare America to Nigeria. It does not come down to PR, they have strong institutions and they have an informed and educated society much greater than ours. 27Pushing30: |
I woke up to read this message of yours. Very insightful especially the last part. Unfortunately I don't see things getting better. Our elites do not fear God, heaven or hell. What they fear most is losing power, wealth and relevance. In describing Nigeria, my friend's father would sadly say is it possible to gather water with a raffia basket? When all of what we borrow at ridiculous interest rates still end up lining the pockets of the already stupendously rich, then no one needs to tell anyone that Nigeria will continue to fail with no end in sight. gasparpisciotta: |
You see he avoided mentioning his so-called solution instead referring you to a previous post. His so-called solution will most likely be RUGA or some variation of it. Fulanis rear cattle, graze freely, pay zero taxes and still expect people to give up the lands that they have farmed. They have brought nothing but sorrow and tears to the communities that they presently occupy all in the name of meat, protein and way of life. Look, the man represents the average Fulani elite. It is almost like he saying the fulanis are daring other tribes to do their worst. He bares exactly what the average Fulani thinks about their way of life. I am tired of having this conversation because it is obvious to me that no one is being proactive about what is going on especially in South West Nigeria. We are gradually heading for conflict, the signs are there. When the time comes and I am certain it will come, what I don't want to hear from Yoruba elites "we are the least prepared for war." War is absolutely inevitable because clearly the Fulani elite are the ones behind the scenes and they have shown thus far that they are not reasonable or rational thinking people. They only understand a show of force and power. Until Yorubas and other Southern tribes meet them with such show of force that will shock them, careless statements such as these will continue. nthony10: |
You spoke wisely and I admire your courage. However, given the history of the Fulani within this geographical space called "Nigeria" I hope that you understand the animosity directed toward your tribe. I do not think it unreasonable or excessive. The Federal Government as led by the current administration is best suited to solve this problem but as you can see, they do not want to. Which leads me to believe that there are undertones to this. Perhaps to destabilize SW Nigeria and limit Tinubu's influence in his quest for more power come 2023? Perhaps to gradually edge out the host communities and eventually takeover SW lands? Perhaps to forment enough crisis to the point where everyone will cry for a solution and then the govt will introduce grazing corridors? Whatever scenario is dictating the events we see unfolding, it will not end well for all involving. The events that we see have the propensity to lead to a full blown crisis, a Civil war of sorts. Once people start arming themselves and taking law into their own hands, you can kiss Nigeria goodbye because it will be the beginning of the end, the start of a very slippery slope. maidstone: |
I did. My point being, Nigerians know nothing more than to fawn over how much money we have and how much crude we have. Crude is already a commodity, if we are to have any chance at surviving, we must start to look away from crude oil. Cherez: |
Dem dey secure the beer. JooEeL: |
Nigerians and their useless fixation on crude oil. Your crude oil is not worth shit and it won't be worth anything in the not too distant future with the advent of emission caps, electric vehicles and renewable energy. Countries with way more crude (more proven reserves and cheaper costs of producing) than Nigeria are already diversifying, you are there talking about crude. The top 20 most valuable companies in the world today have nothing to do with crude oil but have alot to do with innovative products and services, that should tell you something about the world today and where the world is headed tomorrow. DenreleDave: |
I agree with all you said regarding Gani Adams and Yinka Odumbakin however Tinubu also sold out (maybe still sells out) for money. All the Obas regularly sell out our interests for money. Virtually all Yoruba leaders also sell out for money. I cannot point to one Yoruba leader (traditional, religious, political) that has not sold out the right, to his honest opinion and evaluation of Yoruba matters, for money (feel free to correct me). The fact is when it comes to Yorubas and South west politics, there are no saints. Only a bunch of sinners who are as bad as each other. These are wicked men who care not for one single Yoruba life and would not mind for all Yorubas to perish if it helps them achieve their aims. Yoruba people need to stop looking toward their leadership and come together to lead a leaderless revolution. These cowards with dual citizenships (in foreign countries) and families abroad do not care for our lives and our way of life. OneTemplate: |

In the words of Dr Kayode Fayemi, "you are welcome to Southwest Nigeria, it is your home." |
The so-called leaders (political, religious, traditional) of the Yoruba people have priorities that are totally different from that of the Yoruba people. Eventually, the people themselves will have to defend themselves and not rely on their leaders. It is clear they have been bought and they will stop at nothing to sell themselves out like the cheap whores that they are. Nothing is said about the lives that were lost, those ones died in vain. Nothing is said about the properties that have been lost, that one is gone like that. What matters to these so-called leaders is being in the good books of the Fulani overlords because they wish to remain relevant in the Nigerian political landscape. Unfortunately, sooner rather than later, things will unravel themselves. |
I struggle to understand the essence of this write up by Ex-Senator Babafemi Ojudu. If it is to paint Chief Sunday Igboho as nothing more than a political thug for hire, then every so-called leader who has hired him is nothing more than an opportunistic prostitute. Make no mistake, I do not support Chief Igboho's way of life and how he made his money and rose to fame. But who are these politicians to point to him as a thug, are these not the same politicians that made him into who/what he is? Our eyes need remain firmly on the real issue at hand, terrorist herdsmen have infiltrated Southwest Nigeria (same as other regions in the country) and are kidnapping, killing, raping, pillaging innocent lives. Prior till now, the story used to be someone stole their cow that is why they do these things, right now no one is even talking about that and they are still doing these things. What Chief Sunday Igboho is doing is not borne out of any political motivation. The events described above happened in his own village, if he does not speak up or do something about it, then he is not a real man. What Yoruba politicians (and every other politician) don't seem to realise is, the events unfolding will force them to come out plain and pick a side, they cannot sit on the fence. It is either they love the Fulani more than they love their own people or vice versa. Reading Junaid Muhammed's interview earlier one thing stood clear, we were all conned into believing that somehow there is are good people amongst the Fulani, somehow YarAdua was amongst such people, sorry to announce there is no good Fulani. YarAdua and Buhari were the ones who setup Miyetti Allah Allah the purpose which we now are seeing unfolding before our very own eyes. There is nothing good in someone who wants to conquer my people and take my ancestral land by force. I have watched several interviews granted by the media and I can tell you certainly Miyetti Allah leadership know exactly who these killer herdsmen are. They are the ones giving them to directives to do these things. It would be stupid for the Yoruba race to continue down this path of naivety. We cannot rely on the lies being peddling by our own politicians, we must arm ourselves and be prepared to lay down our lives to defend our fatherland. The priorities of the Yoruba leadership class (political, traditional and religious) is obviously different from the priorities of the average Yoruba man. I think that is as clear as day. |
There are no peaceful solutions to the matter at hand. The actions of these fulani herdsmen are part of a much larger plot to takeover the entire country. The peaceful solution you refer to is nothing more than kicking the ball further down the road, postponing the inevitable. You want us to make temporary peace for now so Tinubu can win the 2023 elections, you don't care if the everyday people in SW Nigeria die, so far Yorubas can please the Fulani. That is not a solution, that is stupidity. These cattle are owned by fulanis, it is their business. The farms that you see being destroyed are owned by southerners, it is their business. When one person or a group of people believe that they can use their business and way of life to disrupt the affairs of others, they are only asking for trouble. Yorubas will very rarely if ever trespass or look for trouble, but we sure know how to give it to anyone who tries to bring it our way. helinues: |
So the same British that installed Buhari is trying to incite violence in Nigeria? Stop putting your stupidity on full display for the world to see. You sit from your comfort zone to spew bullshit, can you go and tell Dr Fatai's family all of this rubbish? The young lady whose husband got killed and who was kidnapped whose father had to pay 15m, all by fulani herdsmen on their way back from their farm somewhere in Oyo state, can you say this rubbish to them? Trying to muddy up the water by making this a political battle between PDP and APC, it is clearly not. Yes he is/was a political thug, but like everyone I know, nobody is perfect. This has nothing to do with politics, it is about the survival of the Yoruba people, something I know you probably don't understand because you are benefitting from the status quo. thebosstrevor1: |
But they don't want to ranch in the north where there is land in excess. Borno state is almost as big as the entire South West Nigeria in terms of landmass. Which makes me believe that this is just a plot, a ploy by the conservatives within the Fulani elite to extend their conquest and lay claim to Southern territories as part of their own. The Fulanis emigrated from parts of Guinea, The Gambia and Senegal. Today there are far more fulanis in Nigeria than there are in the places they originate from. That ought to tell you something about these people. Please remember, not all fulani herdsmen are terrorists but all terrorist herdsmen are fulanis. fitzmayowa: |
Why are you wasting your time talking to a well known idiot on nairaland? Are you expecting this fool to give a honest, well thought out account in response to what has been happening? He is obviously paid to give comments that create confusion and sow discord. You can look through his handle. One Nigeria, One Nigeria, One Nigeria. It does not matter to some people so far they are enriching themselves and their families through this One Nigeria. Not everyone feels the way you feel. Some people are agents of destruction, Nigeria may burn to the ground and they could care less. The present crop of young Yorubas do not know their history and do not understand that history has a way of repeating itself. These idiots online will keep shouting One Nigeria until these Fulani have overridden Yorubas out of existence, then they will turn around and tell you to accept it as the will of God or fate. Most of these online/social media influencers are living abroad. They earn million naira salaries to deceive and misdirect the views/opinions of people on the internet. We Yorubas should learn to talk less and do more. Forget online warriors, support Yoruba vigilante groups led by the likes of Chief Sunday Igboho. Give them the moral and financial support because our very existence as a people depends on it. People are being kidnapped and dying, their sources of livelihood are being taken away from them courtesy "One Nigeria" and some idiot is coming here to read out some useless constitution to me. The same constitution that does not apply to a terrorist herdsman when he grazes onto my farmland to eat my crops but applies to me when I demand for justice. Not all herdsmen are terrorists but all terrorists are surely herdsmen, no question about that. We are past political correctness as it stands. All of you supporting these terrorist (implicitly or explicitly), by Ogun's name, shall die, be kidnapped or have your source of livelihood taken from you by same terrorists. Then we can talk about the Nigeria Police Force, The Army, The constitution. Useless motherforkers. solmusdesigns: |
I do not think it is far-fetched to see some South West Politicians hiding behind such Elder Forums to issue an obvious useless statement. If they are truly Yoruba elders, they should make their way to those villages, where fulanis are killing, maiming and kidnapping indigenes, and issue such statements. Let us see if they heads will remain intact on their bodies. Useless hungry motherforkers. |
I am happy with this interview granted to Mr Bodejo. In his own words, we can see through the mind of the average fulani as well as the elite fulani. I do not have anything to add or subtract from all he has said. Feel free to draw whatever conclusions therein. |
Ladies and gentlemen, as you can see, the priority of the Yoruba ruling elite is not to guarantee the livelihood and security of the average Yoruba man. The priority of the Yoruba ruling class is to secure South Western Votes for Mr Tinubu's 2023 Presidential Run. It needs to be said so that it is clear to all! |
May God almighty continue to bless Chief Sunday Igboho and other like minded persons such as him. I do not know whether he is being used or not, it is none of my concern. What I am concerned about is the terrorists that have invaded my region (and every other region) in Nigeria. For the One Nigeria proponents, For the overnight constitutional professors, well done, make una continue. Gradually you will come to find yourselves in the minority till you fizzle away into oblivion. Some of you are here because you want to support Tinubu's presidential ambition, you see this as an interference. Mr Tinubu is absolutely free to contest, but he is not absolutely free to tell anyone anywhere what to do and how to do it. So have all become so skilled at playing politics and in the process we have all become stupid. Stupid to the point where we cannot see the truth and call it such. I do not know any well meaning Yoruba son or daughter who is seeing these things unfold in Southwest Nigeria and yet pledging undying love and your unwavering support for the Fulani. It is normal for people to fear what they do not understand so no surprises. It is called One Nigeria only when it is in favour of the Fulani. Anyone or any group that does not want peace for the Yoruba people shall know no peace and there shall be no hiding place for such persons or groups. |
Thanks for the correction. Blankstare: |

even if she submits her report and implicates the Nigeria army, nothing will come out of it. The Nigeria army won't pay any compensation and the matter will just keep dragging like the confab report that was submitted since 2014
