This is not a good sign: 7 days (5 working days) is too short, no request for insurance.
Now is the time to act fast. Think back, how was your interview? Are you going for BSc or MSc? If it's MSc, is the course related to your first degree? Are you using blocked account or sponsor? Did you (or your sponsor if applicable) give them any red flags?
Think about all these now so that when you get to the Consulate General tomorrow (except you're outside Lagos, there's no excuse not to go there tomorrow - No time), you'll know how to tackle the appeal, assuming it will be needed (I pray it's not, but I think it is a rejection)

Thank victz for the info. I really appreciate and congrats for successfully collecting your visa. I just have a few questions. I have 2 years to prepare before applying for admission. After finding a school, I understand that you have to mail them all the required docs by mail, which did you do, process the admission your self or did you use uni-assist and secondly which courier service did you use. Is it really necessary to start learning java now?

I believe since you aren't in haste yet with 2 more years to graduate, you can spend some of your spare time reading this thread at least the first 50-100 pages of this part 2 thread, and if I may only answer a part of your question, it is on uniassist! You only apply via uniassist if your prospective school demands that you do so, hence application to uniassist or directly isn't usually in your power. Now what should be paramount to you is coming out with very good grades, so you can apply to even very competitive courses of your choice. All the best.

Today I thank God almighty for all the blessings he has bestowed upon members of this great thread and ask him to continue to grant us our heart desires and meet our needs. When I was about to start this journey, few people that knew about it tried to discourage me. My nature is that I don't listen to discouragement. I had my interview on the 10th of August, funded the same day, received credit entry confirmation from Deutsche Bank 3days latter. The day before yesterday, I received the much awaited mail from the Embassy to come and pick up my visa. Yesterday afternoon I was among the 19 students that collected their visas at the German Consulate.

To those who are yet to fund as a result of one problem or the other. It is easy to lose hope when your troubles
surround you. Uncertainty and doubt can fill you with fear especially when it looked as if there seems to be no way out of your pain. Continue to trust God for a miracle he never disappoints.

You meet the minimum requirements really but the competition for space may put you at a disadvantage. Just make sure you apply to as many schools as possible and for this to be possible considering the application period, I will advise you write the language proficiency test (IELTS) preferably. Make sure you make out adequate time to prepare for the exam. Sleep on DAAD to assess all your options.. Read through the requirements on the "course website" and send messages to course coordinator for areas you are not so clear about.

This advise is also applicable to all winter hopefuls, especially many I see here whose level of knowledge on this journey doesn't seem so sound.

Exactly, this is why I made it clear to prolific that for competitive courses 2.5 is just the minimum requirement to apply with but may not be good enough, sometimes even 2.0 can be too low, so like you said boss the best is to apply to as many skools as possible, and if der's no cash yet for ielts( which might be a problem for few of us sometimes) you can spread your tentacles to search for courses not under ur field but related in a way, you may find about 2 or 3 dat do not require ielts, and apply to dose ones first.

What school have u found on daad.de and do dey accept letter from school in place of English cert? Your first step on this quest would always be to visit daad and Google to find courses, read thru d websites of the prospective schools thoroughly and take some time out to read from page 1-40 of this same thread(part 2).

To add to what williamso said, regardless of weda your sch requires ur uni in naija to send the transcripts directly, you mite need a copy of it. Most schools are strict at issuing transcripts to students directly to avoid manipulation. So herez a lil tip.
You could send the transcript to a recognised company. Then make sure you ve a representative who can retrieve d doc for you instead of spending money and time for requesting transcript for each application.

That is where certification comes in. When you ve official transcript @ hand.

Yeah and you can also certify your student copy and apply with it, some skools accept dat.

This all depends on the school, fortunately and unfortunately there's no one size fit all for schools in Germany. I once heard Fau erlangen prefers the transcript sent directly by the skool, but most of the skools allow u send urs by yourself, however der may be other skools like Erlangen, we may neva know.

Just a piece of advice for you and handashake and the many that would apply to schools like LMU or ULM, and even to any skool in general. You have to be careful with ur motivation letter, if possible do not put down even a single alphabet from the internet, and do not repeat phrases from the school's website, some of these skools seem to adopt the canadian approach by scanning motivation letters to check for plagiarism, so google as much as u can to get ideas, read the school's website to understand their philosophy, den construct ur words around these. It would all end in praise, Amen. Team 2016, we hope# we prepare.

These questions are usually answered on the websites of the schools, and have been debated here over and over again, so just read this thread say even 20 pages back, the question of schools that do not require ielts can only be answered from your research on daad or google, authentication of documents is all over this thread and has been debated over by our ogas at the top, so just type certification on the search button of this thread, mayb dat would help. Go to the daad.de website, select international programmes, then business mangement or a related term(as the case may be), then u'll find programs, click them and u'll get all the info you need. Cheers.

Your equivalent German cgpa is 2.37, most skools require a 2.5, but for competitive courses 2.5 is just usually the minimum to apply with. In German grading the lower the better, where 1.0 is the highest and 4.0 is the lowest. Alles Gute.

If the school says you don't need it if your barchelor's degree is in English, then you don't need it just get the letter from your school, one of the major reasons why I think many do not write this test is not for fear of failure but for financial constraints, if this is not ur challenge, then I'll advise you to just write the test if the deadline for paderborn's application is not near. Why are you waiting for admission to come out before you start learning the language? Don't you know that the German courses have fixed registration and class schedules. As a matter of fact, classes have already commenced at the Goethe Institute and registration will almost be over. If you really want to learn German then register now.

Are you applying for summer semester 2016? I hope this is what you are applying for because if you are applying for this winter semester 2015 that people are already collecting visas for, then it is too late for you to make it. All the best

bro u didn't miss them becos of toefl/ielts u prolly mite have missed it becos of cgpa or lack of good motivational letter.I didn't apply with toefl/ielts and I waz admitted in2 3 schools including the almighty uni frieburg.a letter of proficiency from ur university department is all u need.

The issue is quiet straightforward in my opinion, I think with the exception of kiel, if a skool says u can provide letter of profficiency, that should suffice except for competitive courses where there are more stages in the application process. Ielts/toefl plays minimal role in the admission process for many schools, even for kiel it has the least score of 4 compared to other criterias. its' purpose is to show that u'll understand your course in its language of instruction(English).
