I'm really bothered about the way we refer cases abroad. Some of them are packaged back as corpses. There are specific reasons for referral of patients with stroke. Referral of moribund patients abroad is a waste of foreign exchange & should be discouraged. |
Of what significance is the burial of a civilian to warrant the services of military helicopters? This VIP syndrome is what is killing the nation. The Niger Delta needs aggressive development. The area needs good roads, railways & ferry services. The day the common man & the VIPs are treated equally is the day Nigeria shall be liberated. May the souls of the departed gentlemen rest in peace. |
Corruption, mediocrity, religious intolerance, ethnicity, illiteracy & poverty. |
As far as politics is concern, Nigerians are still barbaric. We are also very docile. A governor that is maintained with public funds is abroad and the people do not know why he is there. Whether he is dead or not, nobody is bothered. We need attitudinal change. |
Asari Dokubo is free to make comments on the state of the nation. However, despite his opinion, during the elections, he has only a vote. Other people have their own opinion. Until elections are conducted and votes counted, a winner cannot emergence. Asari should be grateful to GEJ for not being an ex-convict. Presently, his standard of living is better than that of an average Nigerian. The major problem with the South-South is the state governors. Can't they raise money to facilitate the completion of the East-West Road. Even when the road is completed, maintenance will still be a problem because of the perculiar terrain of the region. Nigerians need to be resourceful instead of depending on political patronage to create wealth. |
obadiah777: ALL THESE DEMONIC PEOPLE. BURY THE GIRL AND LET HER RETURN TO THE DUSTI support you totally. After death, man must return to dust. She should be buried properly to enable her soul to rest in peace. |
Soludo's renomination policy was the best financial policy that was not allowed to see the light of the day because of resistance from corrupt public officers & businessmen. |
Without the posting of corps members to schools, the situations could have been worse. The solution is simple. Before posting them to schools, an orientation workshop should be organized for them. |
Hard work, resourcefulness, humility & honesty. |
My dad was a very industrious, humorous, courageous, hospitable & social gentleman. He loved education & community service. |
My mum was a very intelligent, generous, caring & lovely lady. She was a very good cook. She was also very industrious, social & hospitable. |
You cannot satisfy everybody. The more, the merrier. The atmosphere must be serene to prevent influx of hoodlooms. Finally, engage caterers to take care of entertainment. |
The family background of your spouse is very important. It is not advisable to marry a spouse from a family with a lot of liability. Despite your effort, they rarely appreciate good gestures because they are always in need of assistance. |
I hope the money is not the dividend of BH. |
Unless security is built around the common man, a community is not safe. Presently, security is built around eminent persons, but then are they safe? |
What is good for the goose is good for the gander. If a lady is not pregnant, she can relax with a glass of red wine. |
One becomes a President by winning elections not by sentiments. Buhari lost elections because nigerians preferred OBJ, Yar'Adua & GEJ to him. |
[quote author=musiwa7]This is wrong. it is one of the wrong decison of Goodluck govt. This is why we dont not want to be part of you any more.. You see why we most leave Nigeria by force.. even if you people dont want it.. This will only lead to more violent.. look at how our people are living and will any president who care for people.. Go and say, he want to be building a new city in abuja.. Why do you think they are bombing in borno, sokoto , yobe..etc because all thing are concentrated in abuja.. while they live in poverty... other state should be first if any housing should be built.. Any responsible govt will not first build a city in abuja but will first build in the other 36 states to take care of their housing need and not abuja.. you want to get people away from abuja because the laws clearly state... abuja should not be Goodluck leave the yoruba people and western niger no other option than use violent to speak.. which has become the only means of speaking in Nigeria.. Do people have to alway use violent on you before you do the right... the law is clear on abuja.. Even the word of God say do unto others what you want them to do unto you.. Goodluck is treating the people of the western niger bad... and people will also end up using violent to speak. I hope he knows that they can also hurt his ijaw people too , just like he is hurting our people. Do unto others what you want them to do unto you. The state governments cannot abandon their responsiibilities to the Federal Government. Boko Haram should not be used as an excuse for failure. |
SLS was appointed CBN governor based on quota system. Is he ready to resign since he knows that quota system breeds mediocrity? The problem in the banking sector resulted from mediocrity. Our elites may be intelligent but their ideas are usually inconsistent. |
la furia: of course we all do. you would be able to look after ur family better if the govt spend more, efficiently and with zeal on infrastructure (health and education)like it does in maintaing its 10 aircraft and other trivial spendings. The cost of maintaining the Presidential fleet is meagre compared to the amount of money that is looted by government officials pretending to be providing social services. Do you know the amount of funds that is diverted through security votes? |
Abyjah: Now that we know, can we please talk about Jesus? Please work hard now to get money. When times are hard, you may not remember the gospel but may be forced to be a kidnapper to get money. |
There is something peculiar about Nigeria. Anybody can just go to the press & start talking on behalf of a group of people. Recently, the North has gotten more spokemen than any other region. The problem of the North is neither Obasanjo nor Jonathan. The problem of the North cannot be solved by mere occupancy of the Presidency by a northerner. Mediocrity, illiteracy, corruption, religious intolerance etc. are major issues that demand urgent attention. |
'Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image ....' (Exo 20:4). |
Really, Africa is a black continent. How much was paid to get this award. There is no hope, the youths have no future. |
Apart from the issue of poverty, illiteracy & ethnicity, the role of religion & politics cannot be over-emphasized. The role of the 2011 post election crisis in aggravating the security crisis should not be overlooked. Decent politics is one of the solutions to the crisis. |
Religious intolerance is a major setback for this country. It paves way for mediocrity, unconstructive criticism & recently insecurity & terrorism. Lets learn to call a spade a spade. |
Jobless, lazy & hopeless people. Must they be fed & be given money & motor-cycles by politicians. They have mortgaged their future for peanuts. Fools! |
Defence budgets must be judiciously spent to avoid further security lapses & national embarassments. All military facilities should be fenced & CCTV cameras should be installed in strategic places. Commanders should shun fraud & be their brothers keepers. |
Poverty, marginalisation & deprivation is not an excuse for terrorism & armed robbery. Those that failed to plan for the future had planned to fail. The elders should blame themselves for the poor upbringing of their wards. |
Attacks on the military is an act of war. The elders will continue to suffer for not giving their wards proper upbringing. Negotiations will not yield desired results because the group is not articulate. |
The maternal mortality was preventable. Nigeria has the 2ND highest maternal mortality rate in the world. All the forms of delay were involved. The woman's case history is incomplete. As at the time she died, no diagnosis was made. Where did she register for antenatal care and what was her gestational age? Why was she not taken to a government hospital where she would have benefitted from emergency services before payment of hospital bills? Was there any delay at home before she was taken to the hospital? The officers at Garrison Clinic should have commenced emergency treatment since they had paid part of the deposit. If they couldn't handle the situation, they should have referred them immediately to the University of Port Harcourt teaching Hospital. The patient was not properly evaluated in the hospital. The delay could have worsened the woman's situation if she was not properly resuscitated. It is uncommon for a pregnant women to die from abdominal pains unless there was an associated circulatory collapse from profuse vaginal or severe intra-abdominal bleeding. This case needs further investigations to ascertain the cause of death. |
Men are allowed to enter the labour room if they request. However, most hospitals in this country are not properly eqipped for partner support. The labour rooms in most hospitals are not properly partitioned for customized deliveries. In such situations, spouses are not allowed to enter the labour room. |
