PoliticsRe: Okupe Condemns Opposition Governors’ Visit To Maiduguri by kinguwem: 2:51pm On Mar 06, 2013
The APC governors are desperate. I hope the funds donated will not be used to purchase more weapons.
Despite the security challenges, the FG has done well in curbing the crisis.
PoliticsRe: Babangida’s Endorsement Of APC Rattles PDP by kinguwem: 7:58pm On Mar 04, 2013
Who are the messiahs in APC & what is the socio-economic relevance of IBB's endorsement of the party?
I'll vote for the person that has brought visible changes in my community. I never believed there will be a day Magami Ward in Jalingo will have light nonstop for 24 hours. Recently, it is happening. This never happened during the time of IBB, OBJ etc. as Heads of State. I'll still vote for GEJ if he contests in 2015.

PoliticsRe: N200m Donated To Victims Of Boko-Haram By APC Governors by kinguwem: 7:50pm On Mar 01, 2013
Who are the victims of Boko Haram attack? I hope it is not an indirect way of funding the boys. Without the activity of the JTF they couldn't have walked freely in any street in Maidugari. APC is looking for cheap popularity. The activity of Boko Haram has paralysed economic activity in Borno & Yobe States. The earlier they support the FG in fighting terrorism, the better.
HealthRe: Woman Delivered Of 25 Months Pregnancy - Miracle Working God by kinguwem: 2:13pm On Mar 01, 2013
SELFWORTH: Obviously an unbeliever or scientific analyser.

There are many events in the bible that does not follow any scientific logic but we believe them because we believe in God That is why God is God.

If you don't believe in something or you cannot prove something, that does not mean it never happened .

God is God whether you believe it or not . Keep testing all your scientific analysis to prove that God exists. When you arrive at your conclusion ,please do let us know.
God does his miracles perfectly. He will not leave a baby in the womb for 25 months neither will he make labour to last for 3-5 minutes. Refer to the conception & birth of Isaac, Samuel, John etc.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Donates N75M For The Eradication Of Polio by kinguwem: 8:25pm On Feb 26, 2013
Atiku should go & educate his people about the importance of polio vaccination. If he speaks to them, they will listen to him. Religious fanatism, illiteracy & poverty in the North is the cause of the non-eradication of the wild polio virus in Nigeria. The donation of N75M to Rotary International will not change the perception of his people.
HealthRe: Woman Delivered Of 25 Months Pregnancy - Miracle Working God by kinguwem: 7:32pm On Feb 26, 2013
Nigerians are not usually honest. They deceive the unsuspecting public under the guise of miracles. Probably this woman has arranged & stolen a baby or paid a surrogate mother to conceive & deliver a baby for her. Her story is unreliable &inconsistent with medical science. Pregnancy cannot last for 25 months. A normal human gestational period is 40 weeks. Pregnant women can have vaginal bleeding due to several reasons but menstruation does not occur during pregnancy.
Finally, labour cannot last for 3-5 minutes in a woman that has not delivered before. The duration of labour is 8-18 hours.
PoliticsRe: Economy On The Brink Of Collapse - ACN Warns by kinguwem: 8:45pm On Feb 25, 2013
Talk is cheap. A former Military President once said that the nigerian economy had failed to respond to all known economy principles. ACN should come out with a blueprint to revamp the economy. The solution to the economic problem is true federalism. States should use available human & natural resources to generate revenue. As long as most states are dependent on statutory allocations the economy cannot develop. Politics is the most lucratic job in nigeria. Religious intolerance, insecurity, poor power supply, corruption etc. are factors driving away investors. The ACN public officers should publicly declare a pay cut to reduce the bloated recurrent expenditure.
GEJ should be commended on efforts to improve power supply & the fight against corruption. The NJC should be commended for disciplinary action against corrupt judges. All hands must be on deck for Nigeria to make meaningful progress.

Christianity EtcRe: "Pagans Are Responsible For The Draw-backs In Nigeria" by kinguwem: 8:27am On Feb 24, 2013
Africans have a major problem, inferiority complex. We abandoned our culture & adopted foreign cultures & religious doctrines which we cannot practice. We are so insincere & hippocritical about issues. People are killed, maimed, duped & properties destroyed because of religious intolerance. Corruption is a way of life & ritual killings & other vices are on the increase even though we claim to know God.
Our problem is our attitude & not paganism. We need a re-orientation & attitudinal change.
FamilyRe: How To Help A Woman During Her Period by kinguwem: 4:03am On Feb 23, 2013
coconut head: Dear House,

I recently got married and i discovered dis in my wife. When she's in her period, everything irritates her, she sometimes depressed, difficult to cheer her up. She's just dull and can be rude too. I've been looking for a way to help her out of this feeling. She's so nice. I dont want to see her sad or depressed. I'll need advise from house members how to handle this. I'll appreciate comments from married ladies in teh huse and married me too.
Thanks.
Some women have emotional changes during menstruation usually due to hormonal changes & failure to achieve conception. She needs emotion support, counselling & reassurance. If there is an associated history of dysmenorrhoea she may benefit from analgesics. If there is no favourable response after instituting these measures, she should see a doctor preferably a gynaecologist.
CelebritiesRe: Lest We Immortalize Nuisance …the “goldie” Situation. by kinguwem: 7:10pm On Feb 22, 2013
We live in a modern world. As long as the laws are not broken, you can live the way you want to. Two things are important in the modern world: 1. Economy (money) & 2. Politics (power).
No amount of morality is going to feed the people if jobs are not created. The movie/music industry which has a lot of people with different characters is a major source of income in the country. Despite our moral values we should not be judgemental about peoples lifestyles because everybody cannot behalf the same way.
PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan 'Died' For 7 Days In German Hospital by kinguwem: 3:46pm On Feb 18, 2013
It is a shame that a Nigerian First Lady is used for medical experiments abroad. We thank God that she is alive to tell the story. A public servant's illness is made public so that he/she can benefit from the best medical advice & management. A former First Lady had died in a substandard spanish hospital years ago when she went for surgical operation. Health services should be upgraded in the country to avoid subsequent embarassment in future.
PoliticsRe: PDP Governors To Release Jonathan’s One-term Pact by kinguwem: 3:28pm On Feb 18, 2013
Most nigerian leaders are unproductive & egocentric. Gov. Aliyu has not solved the problems of poverty, unemployment etc. in Niger State. Is it not funny that he wants to be President of the FRN? A person that wants to be a President shouldn't be talking about a fake local agreement but should convince nigerian that he is qualified for the job. We know that they earn a living through politics. He can find his way to the senate or perhaps send his wife there to bring more revenue to his family like his predecessor.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Signed An Agreement For One-Term - Aliyu by kinguwem: 8:05pm On Feb 17, 2013
Power belongs to the people & not the PDP governors nor Gov. Aliyu. Aliyu must not wait for GEJ to withdraw from the presidential race in 2015 before he can contest. Politics is a game of numbers. He has no track record. He doesn't stand a chance against GEJ.
PoliticsRe: $6,700 Given To Families Of Slain Health-Workers by kinguwem: 5:17pm On Feb 17, 2013
taharqa: The money given to these slain workers by d FG is just too small in my view. Why wud the money d State Govt gave be higher than d FG's. Its about time people start going to courts to seek Real damages from Govt or oda bodies in dis country once they feel they hv bn severely wronged.... RIP to those innocent women who were murdered, and God's peace to their families....
The FG should be commended. Were they killed by the FG? They were killed by their brothers who have refused to be civilized. The Local Government Councils, Traditional Councils, NULGE, NLC, TUC, Health Workers Unions, NGO's etc. should make donations to their families.

PoliticsRe: Rev. King’s Church Members Threatens Mayhem If He Is Hanged by kinguwem: 2:22pm On Feb 17, 2013
Religion is the opium of the masses. If a church cannot admit that their pastor committed murder, then there is no truth in what they are doing. They can deceive themselves but not the public.
Christianity EtcRe: I Cannot Reject Aircraft Gift –S.K Abiara by kinguwem: 8:50pm On Feb 16, 2013
Christians should imbibe the principles of humility & modesty. Extravagant lifestyles & acquisation of wealth is not part of christianity. Christ did not build megachurches nor acquire property. He did not travel on horses nor chariots to evangelize. Where he could not reach he sent his disciples to win souls. Anywhere he went, he was doing good. He was not involved in politics but was doing the work of the father. Modern day MOGs are interested in politics, acquisation of wealth & building of megachurches. The purchase of private jets is a symbol of materialism & adds unnecessary expenses to the church. The word of God can be spread effectively without the purchase of private jets. The various means of mass communication: internet, the electronic & print media are effective in spreading the gospel if properly utilized.
HealthRe: Was Goldie's Death Caused By A Pulmonary Embolism? by kinguwem:
lawanson44: Some folks here in Nigeria are blaming doctors for incompetency and other bladadash...Goldie's death was inevitable and there was nothing that the doctors would have done to save her even if it was in America. Goldie died of a medical case called Deep Vein Thrombosis or DVT. It usually occurs when there is a blood clot in the deep vein. That is why it is very important not to sit down for too long in a place without stretching and moving about esp in long-distance travels by air.

Most deep vein blood clots occur in the lower leg or thigh. They also can occur in other parts of the body. It can happen to anyone though it is more common in the aged. I guess Goldie was unlucky.

A blood clot in a deep vein can break off and travel through the bloodstream. The loose clot is called an embolus (EM-bo-lus). It can travel to an artery in the lungs and block blood flow. This condition is called pulmonary embolism or PE.

PE is a very serious condition. It can damage the lungs and other organs in the body and cause death.

Blood clots in the thighs are more likely to break off and cause PE than blood clots in the lower legs or other parts of the body. Blood clots also can form in veins closer to the skin's surface. However, these clots won't break off and cause PE.

You can watch an animation of how this happens on http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/health-topics/topics/dvt/
It is presumptive for a doctor to annouce that the cause of death was pulmonary embolism without an autopsy. Apart from prolonged sitting in the long distance flight there are other risk factors for the development of deep venous thrombosis/pulmonary embolism like pregnancy, cancer, an hereditary blood clotting disorder, obesity, a family history of DVT, a history of smoking or use of contraceptive pills or hormone replacement therapy.
It is unprofessional to release the cause of death to the public before a detailed case history is obtained, post mortem examination & investigations concluded.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Can't Sack Maina – Presidency by kinguwem: 7:26pm On Feb 15, 2013
I wish to commend the Senate on her effort to fight corruption. However, the approach of the senators is wrong. There is a process for dismissal of a civil servant just as there is a process for suspension or recall of a senator. The senate should provide available evidence to the EFCC or ICPC for the the prosecution of Maina.
PoliticsRe: Reps Reject Motion To Ban Alcohol Sale by kinguwem: 7:02pm On Feb 15, 2013
Alcohol is a recreational drug with a lot of scientific & economic importance. Though its consumption is forbidden by some religion it is available in different brands worldwide. Though alcohol has some detrimental effects, the call for its ban is barbaric & egocentric.
Malaria kills a child every 45 seconds. What has the Hon. member done about that. The major problems of the country are corruption, ethnicity & religious intolerance. If these problems are tackled, Nigeria will be a better place. The alcohol industry alleviates poverty & helps to calm down nerves. Please, leave alcohol alone.

SportsRe: National Honours, Land & Cash For Keshi & Eagles by kinguwem: 1:19pm On Feb 13, 2013
Football creates jobs for a lot of youths globally. The role of sports in national & international relationship cannot be over-emphasized. Rewards motivates achievements.
Finally, trophies are not bought but won in competitions. Congratulations to Nigeria, the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi & GEJ.
PoliticsRe: Niger Bridge Is Falling! by kinguwem: 8:04pm On Feb 09, 2013
The mentality of nigerians & their politicians is appalling. The FG, ANSG & DESG should partner to maintain the bridge. If the bridge collapses, socio-economic activities shall be affected nationwide. Ibori's loot & the loot of other politicians can build a second bridge across the River Niger. Politicians should start executing people oriented projects.
PoliticsRe: Retired General, Others Under Watch by kinguwem: 4:21pm On Feb 09, 2013

PoliticsRe: Mystery Corpses On Ezu River Were MASSOB Members by kinguwem: 9:41am On Feb 08, 2013
This development is an embarassment to Nigeria, the black race & humanity. It presents us as uncivilized people. The police commissioner & all those involved in this barbaric act should be relieved of their appointments & tried for murder. The families of the deceased must be paid compensation.
All human rights lawyers and organizations, freedom fighters & human rights crusaders should be involved in this battle to stop extra-judiciary killings by security agencies in this country.
PoliticsRe: Blame Jonathan For Nigeria’s Woes – Obasanjo by kinguwem: 4:52am On Feb 03, 2013
Nigerian politics has a perculiar problem. We place so much emphasis on persons rather than an institution. The feud between OBJ & GEJ may not be unconnected with political appointments, contracts & patronage. The political system cannot be effective unless we change the way we do things. The system cannot produce good leaders unless until we fight against election rigging, corruption, godfatherism, religious intolerance, ethnicity, illiteracy, poverty etc.
OBJ is not conducting himself as an elder statesman. He still behaves like a desperate nigerian politician. He contributed immersely to the present political problems. He should bury his head in shame.
GEJ has his own problems. He should be commended in areas he has done well. Presently, electricity supply is constant were I stay in Jalingo. Now that troops have been mobilized to Mali, terrorist attacks will reduce in the country. OBJ's opinion on some national issues are not consistent with modern practices eg. dialogue with enemies of the state.
OBJ should retire to his farm to avoid losing the respect nigerians have for him.
PoliticsRe: Fashola: Jonathan Lacks The Knowledge To Tackle Nigeria’s Problems by kinguwem: 8:06pm On Feb 02, 2013
The ACN & CPC as presently constituted cannot move the country forward. They have no internal democracy. They are autocratic. The megaparty issue shall collapse the moment Buhari & Tinubu disagree on who shall be the presidential candidate.
