N97 is a 50% increase over the previous price

but why are there soldiers on the streets ?

next thing every mode of communication will be shut

finally all the prayers we have been praying all these years finally seem to be clearing road

nigeria is about to change but not without bloodshed

dont be fooled by how well spoken sanusi is and how motherly okonjo iweala looks.

nothing ever changed , nothing is changing and nothing will ever change despite how articulate people in government are

i admire the way they support each other on the points raised though

@ all naialanders

i have a few suggestions for new names for this forum

RANTLAND - young ppl always talking but doing nadaaaaaaaa

ISPEAKANDWRITEWELLAND - this forum is full of egotistic pr.icks and p.u.ssies that constantly hav  open fora e.j.a.c.u.lation by giving themelves a h.e.ad. Alway wanting to sound intelligent and educated without addressing the issues at hand. We are not half as educated as Zimbabwe, so why you guys always showing off a basic necessity for life in this decade ( some intelligence )

ODELAND/OPONUOSILAND - that is for all ya with ethnic sentiments you drag into every situation and conversation. You are the fools that make Nigeria an entity without a future. People  whose decomposed remains should be viewed on archaeological finds on the history channel. All your venom is sooo centuries ago and it is a shame you ethnic bas.tards feel sooooo relevant.

GBAOLAND - Olaenu gbao (u just open ur mouth, yan anything). Some of u dont even read the content of the original subject matter only to grab the tail of the thread and talk rubbish.

MANIALAND - one of the core characteristics of a manic individual is DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR ,where you are consumed by your own supposed feeeling of self importance. Let people be and express themselves freely and stop creating a cartel on an open forum. HOW  is this forum different from this country when some people feel more important than others, religion is abused ,  and lone sensible voices are relegated to the background .

THE PROBLEM OF NIGERIA AS A COUNTRY STARES EACH ONE OF US IN THE MIRROR DAILY

someone asked me why 9ice was a.ss licking otedola, dangote and adenuga

i replied the taste of s.hit must be awesome cos this is the best praise singing song i ever heard [i.e buje budanu , bashorun gaa 18]

there is no way 9ice is not getting a glo endorsement next year

' mike adenuga , owo ton yeye bukata '

what an awesome song , if i was mike adenuga and i heard that said about me,i would shed tears before my head gets in the clouds.
for non yorubas he simply said mike adenuga's money makes a mockery of poverty or inexhaustible financial demands

tell me who doesnt want to be mike adenuga or dangote at the moment , BABA JOOOOOOOOR DAMILOHUN

na waaa oooooo for naija ppl,

wizkid is a naija pop act with an amazing gift for genre bending so how do u accuse him of having no talent.pop music is evolutionary and stands for popular music.why do u listen to a song and say it is reminiscent of the 80s or 90s?

wizkid is going to be considered a genius in years to come when we look back and cross examine the evolution of our music. why does lady gaga have a following and even rihanna is considered as thrash to some hardcore music critics.

i live in england and after so many years i still dont get the music. i am like what do these ppl see in girls aloud, one direction or n dubz but that is popular music over here and the ppl dat download the music and attend the concerts get it.

i hav listened to the album and for me pakurumo is just amazing.i didnt get gidi girl initially but it grew on me. say my name is amazing,i love my baby, wadup is sooooooo fantastic including the part by the despised d prince and oluwa loniii

need i say more, pls naija let u celebrate our own and quit hating especially u lot without any demonstrable talent
Car TalkRe: Why Do Most Nigerians Use Exotic Cars Yet Live In Poor Or Rented Houses? by kushe: 12:52pm On Oct 10, 2011
nigerians hav been sold a lie

there is absolutely nothing wrong in renting

the problem is living outide ur means

i can be a billionaire and choose to live in a rented property, that way my assets are more liquid and not necessarily tied up

most home owners dont hav a clue about the economics of owning a home especially in nigeria

all i hear is ' i dont want to spend the rest of my life dashing landlord money '

i know some smart ppl will jump on my tail but most of dem dont play in the major league of finance

why do they say cash is king

and why dont multinationals in nigeria buy property

the humour became stale when every other respondent was shocked by the bad grammar in the original post. now guys, get over it,the written whatever was bad but u all got the koko of the gist.

rather than laff ur behinds off at the plight of this man or whatever group he is representing, take time out to imagine the future of a country whose secondary school students are consistent in their failure of their sixth form exams and whose irresponsible government is busy mortgaging the future to the highest bidder.

nigeria is in soup and for all u laffing, this guy could be your nephew in twenty years time if the degradation of our systems continue, whether naa shell, chevron or goldman sachs u dey dey lounge, remember eni lari, a mo ola.

even those in the financial heart of london are hearing it and living in apprehension everyday,my point being there is no safety net anywhere, and with a looming secound round recession, should nigerians really fold their arms and watch the gradual erosion of a potential middle class.

ur news media be busy talking politricks on a daily , while the world that feeds u is sitting on a keg of gunpowder and taking a f.ag .if u hav a job ,well thank ur God,but it aint enuf that u are comfy, the multiplier effect of a stifled economy is that u never really know whats up with ur own job and if u are not careful,u might be the one posting next on a rather similar situation but this time in impeccably written english.

BusinessRe: 'RUNS' Business In Nigeria: A Multi-billion Naira Industry? by kushe: 6:11pm On Sep 17, 2011
things are not as obvious as a few years ago when every average working guy had extra cash to spend on girls.

a friend and i talked about this recently and the following were his conclusions

1) the economic crisis hit naija hard in 2009,therefore there was a cash crunch in many families, including those with nice looking daughters, some of them take home to mama kinda girls, who had to go to school with nothing much on the home front

2) even oles became champions as money became hard to come by,girls lowered their standards, and every guy wit small coins in his pocket, even without balls could now score steady

3)there are different strata in the runs thing, gone are those days when girls who no fit speak english to save their lives ran the show, now u have good looking, nice smelling,qc attending , queen's english spewing runsgirls,so only inferiority infested dead and buried game men do the former

4) the private universities, leadcity, babcock, covenant ,would u actually call them runs girls as well ?these lot are ready to do u if u are a correct bobo for free, but then as my guy said, 'courtesy demands'

dont ask me what courtesy demands, cos i dont know

i aint attacking u nor ur friend, the whole ovulating aroung menses just sounds babalawoish to me.spooky crap fom a consulting room filled with cheap props that makes it look like dey actually communicate with other worlds.

before ur friend husband begin do gragra,he better go for sperm test as person yarn,or he go just marry another woman see say dat one sef no fit get belle.i think the stats in naija say like 40% infertility cases are the fault of the man.

if u think marriage is about having kids, hav u a nice chick, straff her silly,no commitments, make she just born.

to the men,how wld u feel if the girl of ur dreams told u,no marriage, she just wants ur seeds to germinate into fruits in her ?

infertility is not a diagnosis till after one year of coexistence with uninterrupted sex.

and someone above said it,any woman wey dey get belle around her menses naa winsh.those are actually the safe days, before and after ur menses depending on the length of ur cycle.

i guess the person u are talking about is u and i advise u go consult with a doctor and leave dat babalawo and his ancient theories.

PoliticsRe: Wikileaks: Yar'adua Directed NNPC To Pay $57m To Judges by kushe: 8:24am On Sep 09, 2011
i know there are some SS ppl reading through this thread and looking for ip addresses and tryna pay tithe on the perceived intelligence that secret service seem to hav in all those american shows. Now for u fools in the SS ,police and military back home this is for you.

I heard during the lagos floods in june or july, the police college in ikeja was so flooded they had to break the walls to allow the water on to mobolaji bank anthony.and u fools called the nigerian police go to work everyday hoping the guys down under will deliver a multitude of 20 naira notes to take your own share to your four wives per family and a gazillion children. meanwhile your salaries(sorry stipends) from abuja are diverted in fashions that will amaze even the maverick fraudsters of wallstreet till only 60% of what GEJ sent to u only reaches ur acc.

to the SS,with ur cheap suits made in 1963 when nigeria was made a republic,ur 200 naira frames and what in the world is dat crap u ppl hav in ur ears, reminds me of that keyholder i use to hook around my belthole in boarding school. the NSA don chop all the allocations made u guys is why dey all hav crazy pads for their kids here in london.was discussing with one of the rich ones recently and and all she could complain of was how she hated u guys coming into her space, cos u fouled the air around her,she was a burberry chick, smelt like a million pounds of ur salaries and our national budget.shame on you fools, for you work with ppl who detest ur very existence.

to the human beings in naija, sorry for the intro but i had to get that out of the way cos when the shi.t starts, they will send these fools after you guys.my intro was to let them know they are just as victims as the rest of us they are sent to chase and beat down.

i am not a politics talking person not cos i dont know what to say,but simply cos nigerians arent ready to hear the truth.
if naija must change, ppl go die, blood must flow, anger must pump tonnes of adrenaline through our blood vessels that will propel folks from their sorry behinds to shouting enough is enough, and then actually mean it.

but then our very own claim we are too docile, that it will never happen, the average nigerian loves his life too much that there will never be matyrs for this cause.afterall they claim abiola died and nothing happened,so did bola ige, marshall harry and whoever dey decide to eliminate next.
so as i type, reckless enrichment pervades the land and together with clueless governance,Nigeria is held in a chokehold. they say dont insult the elders, but we are ruled by fools,so if the elder is a ruler and has done this to us,he must be a fool.

but when history judges, who would be the greater fool, the minority who ruled with the iron fist and looted our nation out of existence or the majority who just sidon looked and allowed this to continue.

@  OP

sorry to burst ur bubble but there isnt anything spectacular about what u are selling.I rather think they would make any grand design of a building even uglier.interior design transcends intuition or vocational skills any tom ,dick and harry can pick on the streets.

u need an education in color theory, accessorising, window treatments, ergonomics, lighting.i cant shout, but if u ever come to london, pls take note that almost all the houses in a particular area look the same until u go inside.i live in london and i hav come in touch with some amazing interiors, and they usually follow a scheme in which dey are an artistic tale of the individual or ppl living in dem.

pls check out the following schools,i know say dem cost, but if u ever make it through any of dem,u go chop tire for naija

1) www.klc.co.uk (cert in interior decoration0

2)inchbald school of design

3)the design school london

4)institto marangoni,london or milan

i am 33 and if the demographics of this website is say 16 to 40,naija is in deeeeeeeeep poooooooo.

i come to this website everyday and hardly has a thread gone 10 comments long before tribal sentiments come in.i use to think this was all for fun and was just a thing mischief makers did for a good laff, but after two years i am very convinced we actually hate ourselves in the entity called nigeria.

subconsciously after repeated exposure to comments here,i wouldnt date an ibo girl eventho dey always seem to be the finest of the naija lot, i even advise my ppl back home not to let out property to ibo ppl as dey wld default once the initial two years elapse.

why all this ibo bashing.i am ijebu but the bestest friends i hav made in my life and keep in touch with are ibo.could they be soooo evil as to get vilified at the slightest opportunity we had and besides how can the future of nigeria afford to be so tribalistic in 2011. na waa ooooooo.

Music/RadioRe: Wizkid Stole Pakurumo? by kushe: 8:28am On Aug 10, 2011
an artist either solely performs or writes and performs.countless of the most successful artists in the world do not write their music, they get passed demos by aspiring songwriters or established ones through their record companies who feel the song is in sync with the vibe of the album being produced.

i noticed we mostly talk about producers in nigeria like they and the artist are the only ones who make a hit song.if that girl actually wrote pakurumo, then she might hav an ear for the future of blended genres.unfortunately if she sang it,maybe nobody would hav liked it cos u need a good vehicle of delivery which wizkid at the moment is.what they do abroad is give credits to everyone dat it is due in the sleeve of the album  along with which comes monetary compensation pre determined by the music industry standards alreadyestablished.

even the best songwriters get inspired by unusual contacts with nature, cultures and the archives of dead and gone artists.there is no crime in copying in the music industry, the crime is not following the laid down rules of monetary compensation.however can we call alaba,a handful of record labels, clarencepeters and the rest and recently flytyme entertainment the music industry.
