I was at a bank UBA to be precise, we were sitting under a canopy outside due to covid 19 rules. Suddenly an elder man ran into the compound and met told the security man that His account has been hacked and he just received 5k debit, he should be allowed to go in and block the account, but the security insisted He should wait for a while that when He the new set of people are going in, He will be allowed to join them. People started shouting at the security to allow the man block his account but the security refused, the man then said if He has another debit, they bank will refund him, within 5 minutes, the man had a 100k+ debit, He got mad and punched the security, other young men became furious and wanted to beat up the security, when the bank manager noticed their was a fight outside He did not even have to come down to block the account before ordering the securities to immediately let the man in.

Before I knew it, she was already at my place, I had to give her the last 1k note I had. She knew it was all I had yet she collected it.
I felt loved but used at the same time. What do I do now? How do I correct this?
I called her almost every hour, I reduced it gradually till it became twice in a day, I started declining her requests, became cold, stopped her from coming for weeks. She lost her phone recently and told me about it, she wanted a phone for Valentine's, but I told her we couldn't continue one week to the Valentine's day. I was just tired of being a mugu. Spending on her wasn't the problem, but she took my love as an avenue to pillage me of my hard-earned money. I learnt she got another phone, a costly one for that matter the next day after the breakup. She was my first girlfriend, and I'm not getting another till further notice.

As a job seeker, I recall one weird experience I had at a pentecostal church back in 2010. I had just returned to Nigeria from my Masters course in the UK and was eager to get a job. I had a relative who knew someone in lagos state govt at the time. He was the commissioner of finance for Lagos state govt at the time. It was hard for him to book a meeting with him. So eventually after 2 months, he finally secured a meeting with him and it was gonna be a Sunday after the service.

I was Catholic and didn't attend pentecostal services so after I attended the morning Mass, I timed my arrival to coincide with the dismissal of the service. So I waited for him. It took quite sometime to get his attention cos there was a lot of people that wanted his attention after the service. When it got to my turn to see him, I was instantly thrown off by his first question '' Young man do you attend RCCG? 'I told him the truth, Sir I am Catholic and so No I don't , he then said then I either start attending the church or else there is nothing he can do for me.

I was so shocked. The man wasn' t even interested in what course I studied, what grades I finished with or my work experience. His primary focus was my place of worship. I told him '' Okay sir Thanks but I can't attend your church because I need a job''. Then he said he was done with me. And as I left I shook my head in disbelief why the country had deteriorated to the point of church politics.

I never met the man again or even bothered contacting him again. I just kept applying for jobs and weeks later, I landed a job at Ikoyi. Man nor be God las las. And that would be my first out of the few jobs I held in lagos before I became effectively self employed in 2015. But that experience never left my mind, some people dey mean sha.

Moral lesson — As you dey look for connect do that job, don't forget to keep looking, applying, believe In your self, people still get jobs in this country without knowing anyone at all. Just have a positive mind set and keep going. You shall land a job of your dreams. Best of luck!

Me and my wife has been together since 2014, although we have not done marriage as we only did introduction, but we planned having our marriage this year, we had two kids, but I think right now I'm not comfortable living with my wife.
I am not enjoying this relationship anymore, she keeps beating me whenever there is quarrel between us, she is fond of slapping me and giving me punches , at times she make use of wire and and broom to scatter my head.

My marriage is barely 2 months. Our traditional marriage was 27th of November and she is due to give birth in few weeks, I was in my office when our pastor rang and said he has something important to tell me and I should come at the church premises and arriving at the church , I met my wife she was in tears and the pastor said we should first pray which we did after the prayer he said my wife has something important to tell me , her face was down she couldn't look at me in the eyes and it really baffled me I become scared thinking something bad has happened to the baby or the other child and when she drop the bombshell about her having 4 children I was speechless,  I lost balance and I couldn't even speak for 30 minutes and the only thing I told her if I don't want to see her near my place or else she will be in the mortuary me in prison. I have spent a lot for the wedding Unknowingly she was hiding such secrets from me , my heart is shattered and the pastor bought her back to my house asking me to forgive her, I asked him if he will forgive if she was his wife that did the same thing to her and he couldn't even answer my question but he kept telling me to forgive , I told both of them to get out of my face or I will commit a crime that will land me in prison. I am broken and I curse the day I met the daughter of jezebel. I will take custody of my child after he is born and I swear the daughter of jezebel will pay for all the pain she put me through.

I'm pained. Anyways, Merry Christmas to you. So I decided to see how to make the Xmas colourful by going to the market. One of the first things I saw were cages of chicken, long story short, I bought a healthy, heavy looking fowl(I was very happy- because the price was very good).

Due to the weight of the chicken, I couldn't hold it around the market to buy other things, I decided to put it in the boot of my SUV,winded down all the glasses behind(to a safe extent).

People of God, lo and behold, Hmmmm, I discovered my precious heavy healthy fowl has died of heat(note that the legs weren't tied) when I wanted to put the bag of rice I bought.
Out of pain and suspected confusion, I left the market back home.

Now, my question is can I still go ahead to eat the dead meat or I should just absorb the loss and buy another?
