Heard somewhere that Chief Ogboru dropped out of the race in support of Otega Emerhor. How true? Can't seem to find that news anywhere else. |
Wetin be Seasonal Movies T'Ori Olorun? Series, you mean. Its just everyday TV programs. Just because they are very well done dem don turn movie for Naija. |
Wow! Most of these things I've never heard in my church o. Some of them are just contextual issues. Like submiting to your husband. |
Its Impossible for a fuel pump to dispense air. No matter what you think or what you have experienced, it is not physically possible. |
All they ever think about is ban. Ban this, ban that. Ban okada, ban importation of rice etc. It never occurs to them that the things they are banning came into existence to meet a need. And as long as the need remains, these things will not go away even if you ban them. Think of creating alternatives and make the things you want to ban undesirable and they will just go away. Naija Govt people just think. Oops! Thinking is beyond their capabilities. Lets just Ban. |
Is it me? Or was this article (wonderful as it is) written under the impression that only married men cheat? I know a few married women ACTIVELY cheating. |
That thing has been outta the Officers Mess waters for a while now o. It wasn't even there during Easter. It just upped and disappeared. And naturally, nobody knows about it. |
Planning to spend August in Tanzania, Botswana and South Africa. |

So some people think the Insurance business in Nigeria is not worth investing in abi? Good. The stock market IS NOT a good reflection of the health (or otherwise) of the Industry. You think Old Mutual investing in Nigeria is a mistake abi? All companies in the financial sector have had issues in the past five years worldwide. However, the Nigerian Insurance industry is as healthy as the Economy can allow. Its a key emerging market sector. And a hint: the healthiest one is not even quoted. Its private. |
Like they say, people ALWAYS get the govt. they deserve. The truth is we as a people, considering our mentality and values truly deserve the govt. we have. Unless we change our thinking, truly change from within, the Nigeria we have today is the best Nigeria we would ever have. |
While it is good news that our 47,143,356 internet users puts us at No 10 on the list, we should realize there's a lot of work to be done. This number of users still represents only 28.43% of our population. By contrast, the UK, No 9 on the list, has 51,412,657 internet users, which represents 82.00% of their population. |
Now, I've always been a blackberry hater. However looks like the new BlackBerry 10 will be a hit. Shares have risen 92% in the last three months. They have been meeting with companies, developers and telcos and everybody seems pleased. Its designed like an iPhone, its a 4.3 inch full touch device with a much faster browser than the iPhone. This info was on CNN. |
Why look for a credible replacement? The state no get deputy gov? |
Our govt is bloated and very top heavy. Nigeria has less than half the population of the US, has 36 states compared to Americas 50, yet we have more Senators. |
Happy Obama won. That said, sentiments apart, the Electoral College system is truly undemocratic. Whats wrong with winning an election by simple majority? Its a system where you can lose the votes but win the election. If this system is used in Nigeria, total chaos will be the outcome. Yes, I understand this has been the system in America since forever, but they truly need to look at reforms. However, Donald Trump is really a tool. Attention addict. Please shut up already. |
Wow! The closest example I know here in Nigeria is the road that leads from Abeokuta to Imeko. Death Trap. |
Lol. I don't know who this guy is o. But I know he is fake. Sell at N75 per liter. Thats a joke. South Korea sells petrol at over $1.50 per liter. Yet you want to get it there, add logistics costs, bank charges, storage and clearing fees and sell it at $0.6 or there about. Na magic? Do you know the cost of crude on Platts today? Do you know the cost of refining? Nigerians should let people play on their intelligence and emotions. The guy will get the license and join the band wagon of portfolio marketers. They are the ones killing the industry. People with storage that can sell dispense 5,000 metric tons of PMS per week only get 15000Mt allocation to import from NNPC. People without storage get more allocation and sell it to the people with storage at high price and you wonder why the price is N100. SMH |
@Safarigirl, x-fire 1.Agree with x-fire on point one. And who says God fearing girl = dull bed experience? Which planet are you from Safarigirl? 2.A selfless woman is a woman who's not a 'me, me, me' woman. How is that clingy? She doesn't think only about her needs. Hw is that clingy? 3.A low maintenance woman is simply a woman who knows to live within her means. She wont make you do crazy stuff so she can get luxuries she KNOWS you cant afford. And it doesnt mean if you can afford the luxury she wont want it. 4.Lol! on number 4 5.Haba, Safarigirl! Emotional stability is not stiffness. The poster said Emotionally stable, not emotionally unavailable. 6.So Safarigirl is not loyal and patient. Hear, hear. 7.Nothing to say. It seems Safarigirl was just bent on finding flaws in the post. At least everyone (even girls without a shred of character) agree with this one. Big up x fire |
So you can talk to your new GS3? I did that with my old i4S last time round. |
Supported. Same reason the Indians changed 'Bombay' to 'Mumbai' and 'Calcutta' to 'Kolkatta'. |
Don't read this on the surface. There's more to this than meets the eye. So Prof. Nnaji resigned because of conflict of interest. Reports said he had interests in companies bidding for power installations. Really. Someone tell me this is breaking news. I knew about his interests in these companies a while back. It was reported on 'The Panel' a program on Nigeria Info FM, Lagos. The govt. knew about this all along, even before they appointed him. Why is it becoming an issue now? What has suddenly changed in the status quo to warrant his resignation? Whose interest is suddenly conflicted with that of Nnaji that is bringing this old news to a head? And if the govt is truly against 'Conflict of Interest' issues, why do we have so many conflicted individuals in the executive arm of govt? WHY IS DIEZANI ALLISON MADUEKE STILL IN GOVT ![]() |
Nobody in the nigerian contingent is visiting Europe for the first time. some actually live abroad. why abscond when u know u can always come back when u want |
The average person knows a good substitute when he sees one. If the locally produced item is of the same quality as the imported one, we will buy local. However the local option is either of a much lower quality or is more expensive. My two kobo. |
Wack name, wack logo. My 2 kobo. |
Forget all this jargon written in this new law. The reason why the fines and penalties are sooo insanely high is so that the offender will be forced to 'discuss' with the lastma official. And you know where that leads to. The 'deliver' of lastma officials has increased and must be met. Compare the penalties for these second degree fines to the penalties for actual 'hurt your neighbor' crimes. |
My Reply. Five (Sarcastic)Reasons Why U Do Not Need A Car 1) They’re Expensive with Ongoing Costs Any way you look at it, cars are expensive. 2) Do You Really Need That Much Mobility in Your Life? My company has a Staff Bus I can ride to work everyday, my house i near the BRT bus stop, I actually enjoy riding okada. What do I need a car for? If i get stuck in traffic at Mile 12, I can just come down from the bus and take a bike. Can a car owner do that? 3) Not as Convenient as You May Think In my opinion, cars are not really as convenient as you might imagine. You waste hundreds of man hours with the mechanic, spend early mornings washing the car, and lets not forget the millions of things that can go wrong with a car. Phew!If a bus gets a flat tire, i just come down and take the next bus. Simple. 4) You Could Have a Misperceived Need Majority of people who have cars think they are a necessity, when in fact they are not. Forty years ago, most people didn’t even have cars. Even in New York lots of 'Big Boys' rely on the subway to move around. It then stands to reason that if your forefathers made it in life without a car, there’s a good chance that it is not a true necessity in your current life. 5) They are replacing good exercise. You can hardly see fit people anymore. They spend so much time driving, they don't get the benefits of the good old trek anymore. |
First of all pls, pls, pls do not confuse the taste of the food with the advert. You might not like Honeywell noodles (who does?), but it does not mean you should diss the advert. As per the advert, I'll pick the Indomie, but only just. And my reason is mainly on the production. The indomie production trumps the Honeywell, even though Honeywells' was more elaborate. However, the adverts were mainly targeted at kids, and the only thing the kids care about is the song. Period. My 4yr old daughter had the 'mama too good o' song on repeat from her lips for ages. That waist wriggle was the way she walked. But when the 'Bam bam, lala' stuff came, 'mama too good' and the waist wriggle were dropped like yesterdays news. Its now 'Bam bam, lala' with arm wriggles to the left and right all over the place. Yes, when they show the indomie advert she still sings and gets excited ... for the next 5 mins, but 'Bam bam, lala' is all day. |
Chei! See wetin poverty dey cause. |
