Can any body dispute this fact? There were no arsenal fans in Nigeria before Kanu played for them. There were no Chelsea fans before Abramovich started His spending spree. From what i know, no church will refuse you getting married if you are pregnant. They will only refuse to wed you in the church. They will recognise your marriage, even encourage you to get married in the registry or something. They will not condemn you. In many churches it is a policy to conduct pregnancy tests for brides a day or two before the wedding. In my church for example, you are told at least 16 weeks before your wedding all the requirements, including the pregnancy tests. if you still decide to get pregnant knowing that you will not be wed, na you sabi. They even tell you it is not compulsary to wed in the church. they will even attend your reception. why join 3 people at the altar when you are supposed to join two?

Back in the University of Ibadan in 2001, i knew a strict muslim guy. Long smoothly combed beard, skull cap, white kaftan with 'jump' trousers, and leather slippers. A real poster boy imam. Only for me to find out at graduation that this guy was Igbo. Biggest Shock of the year.

If your friend needs something from God, all he/she needs to do is look into Gods word to see what God has said concerning it, claim those promises believing in faith and see what God can do. Note that Gods promises are for His children.

In comparing players, what should be the criteria? You cant just judge on how they play because they played in different eras under different rules with the game itself in different stages of development. I personally judge based on the impact they had on their teams.

In 1958 when Brazil won their first world cup, Pele was a 17 year old boy. he was a sight to see. but objectively, he was just a wonder kid. same as messi and fabregas is today.

Most of the Goals he scored were scored when he played in the US. The statistics are really not a yardstick to judge.

So in my estimation Maradona was a better player.

In Nigeria, the question is who really cares about the verdict of opinion polls? Most opinion polls showed Donald Duke as most peoples choice. President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday in Ibadan described Lamidi Adedibu as a politician that cannot be reformed and one who should not be chided publicly. “Baba is not an angel and he is not perfect but whatever his shortcomings, he can be privately corrected. He can be corrected secretly and I am sure that he will surely change. This is what I have been telling the people; whatever his shortcomings, we should let him know but decently and we should not also fail to point out the areas where he is good.”



Obasanjo also endorsed the governorship candidacy of Alao-Akala who was publicly described as corrupt by anti graft agency boss Nuhu Ribadu. “In Oyo PDP, there is enough space for everybody. In Oyo State, there are many competent people who can fly the party’s flag but Alao-Akala is the best candidate for the party in the state,” he said. How can this man even pretend to be fighting corruption? What does EFCC and Ribadu have to say about this? How come after publicly calling Akala corrupt he does not name him in that corrupt politicians list? Can we trust EFCC and OBJ?

Most contributions have been very good. A song is not just what you say, but how u say it. The rhyme scheme is very important. Its understandable if you want to express your thots first then think of the rhymes later, but think of the rhyme you must.
