Christianity EtcRe: Shakesphear's Name In The King James Bible Spelled Backwards by lafile(m): 11:08am On Jul 10, 2007
Is this Kuns Guy for real?
This guy just closes his eyes and types whatever his fingers touch on the keyboard. Mkaes claims with no proof.
The reason is so you can say well tynsdale died before the buybill (bible) was written.
The bible was first published in 1611, and authorised by King James, and translated by William Shakespare in Shakespearian English. William Tyndale was simply a front for the British freemasonary who planted information in public domains to deceive the illiterate masses.
The KJV not the Bible was written after the Death of Tyndale (and its Tyndale not Tynsdale)

Some of us are truly Niggers from the word "Necro" meaning dead
The English Dejorative term Nigger originates from the Spanish Negro and French Negre both of which originate from the Latin Niger which means Black. Simple. It can be found in the Bible. Check Acts 13:1.

William Tynsdale is a facticious character that was created by British freemasonary (Scottish Rites 32 degrees) to deceive and confuse you just like it is doing now. They planted this information (William Tynsdale 1494–October 6, 1536) there too confuse people, the illerate public, who are easily deceived.
The only person living is deception is conspiracy theorist kuns.

Another name of the devil is beliar and he gives you beliefs , or believe (be-lieing-to-eve) or be-lieing-to-the-descendants-of-eve which is who the negroid is.
You really have to laff at his play or words.

islam means submission to the will of Allah how can the devil take part in proclaiming that there should be total submission to the will of God.
Nobody argues that Islam means submission to the will of Allah. The question is who is this Allah that they submit to. Cant be the Creator or this Universe sha.

Christianity EtcRe: To Tithe or Not to Tithe? by lafile(m): 4:27pm On Jul 09, 2007
I have always based my decision to tithe on Luke 11:42 "But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."

And I though i have seen and heard convincing arguments against tithing, I haven't seen any that tells me Christ said anything that remotely negates it.

I still cant think of any thing that can counter TV01's very impressive arguments but I'ld rather tithe.

Cheers

Christianity EtcRe: Shakesphear's Name In The King James Bible Spelled Backwards by lafile(m): 10:52am On Jul 09, 2007
Kuns:
If we go to Psalms 46 we can clearly see where William Shakespeare (William Tynsdale) left his make.
William Tyndale (ca. 1494–October 6, 1536) was a 16th century Protestant reformer and scholar who translated the Bible into the Early Modern English of his day. In 1535 Tyndale was arrested, jailed in the castle of Vilvoorde outside Brussels, Belgium for more than a year, tried for heresy and treason and then strangled and burnt at the stake in the castle's courtyard. Much of Tyndale's work eventually found its way into the King James Version (or Authorised Version) of the Bible, published in 1611, and, though nominally the work of 54 independent scholars, is based primarily on Tyndale's translations.

William Shakespeare (baptised 26 April 1564 – died 23 April 1616) was an English poet and playwright. He is widely regarded as the greatest writer of the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. His surviving works include at least 38 plays (some written with collaborators) and 154 sonnets, as well as a variety of other poems. Shakespeare appears to have retired to Stratford in 1613, where he died three years later at the age of 52.

BusinessRe: The Dying Factories Of Nigeria by lafile(m): 11:46am On Jul 06, 2007
There is something called cause and effect.
For every action of the Nigerian people there's a cause. and the cause can be traced back to the Nigerian leadership. Its not an excuse for the action of the people ; its just the reason. Believe it or not, Nigerians really don't require much from their Government. Just an enabling environment to live a full life.
So the bus driver charges exorbitantly because its dark or it rained? He wouldn't have the opportunity if there was a reliable, well organised public transport system. We live in country where its easier to do wrong (or support wrong doing or refuse to do right or refuse to support right doing) than to do right. We all know it is wrong to drive against traffic but hey sometimes the traffic caused by bad and inadequate roads can be so frustrating you will actually be a fool to not drive against traffic. Imagine driving for two hours from Victoria Island to Apapa only to meet a traffic jam caused by trailers parked wrongly on the road ( Note: they are parked wrongly because 1. There is no functional rail system for bulk goods transportation and 2. The government is unable or unwilling to control them). You chose either to stay another three hours on the road or go against traffic and get home in thirty minutes. If this happens every other day as its wont to do, which will u choose considering you have to be up at 4.30am to make it to work in time the next day?
Some one might say its the Nigerian way. But its not. his is not how Nigerians behave in Europe or the Uk. Why? Cos they dont face the kind of problems (causes) that produces those behaviours (effects).
Have you ever being caught by LASTMA in Lagos? for a minor traffic offense, they charge you one exorbitant fine. knowing fully well it doesnt make any sense to pay. Imagine being asked to pay N7500 at a bank for taking a wrong turn. Wouldnt you rather give the Lastma guy N500?
Nigerians dont pay Tax? Would you working 8 to 5 everyday earning a salary that can hardly keep body and soul together pay tax to a government that pays senators 100 time more than you for doing nothing? when you see the tax payers money spent frivolously in front of you? when you can not see the effect of the said tax? Please! will you give your money to a govt. that spends you money on themselves and their families and then oppresses you on the road with SUV's and sirens? Why pay you tax when you provide water for yourself, electricity for your self and the road to your house was filled by sand and stones contributed by community effort?
We dont like Nigerian products? who said? we eat Indomie, dont we? Thats becos of the good quality. At the end of the day, trust the Nigerian consumer to make the right choice. And do you realise that sometimes its cheaper to import than produce in Nigeria? Ask PHCN why.
My friend was studying a course here in Nigeria. He found out via the internet that what he was thought was way behind time. what did he do? he traveled to the US got his masters, is doing his PHD and you cant count the number of companies wanting him. why should he come back? which company wan employ am?

God help us
Christianity EtcRe: Are Gays Really Sinners? by lafile(m): 9:53am On Jul 06, 2007
because homosexuality could be passed on from generation to generation
Oh Homosexuality is genetic now? inserted into our DNA by whom?

and it depends on how you were brought up like a girl in her tender age being dressed up in a boys clothing and always hangs out with her fellow girls
Like my sister the worlds number one Tom-boy, by the way she is heterosexual.

and is always cautioned about the opposite sex will definately turn out to be gay.
Every girl i know was cautioned about boys. Tell me any Nigerian girl that was not cautioned about boys from age 4? how many turned out gay?

I was cautioned about girls grin and i am a full blooded heterosexual.

Stop giving excuses for sin.
Christianity EtcRe: To Tithe or Not to Tithe? by lafile(m): 1:50pm On Jul 05, 2007
I have followed the discussion between Stimulus on one side and TV01 and Hnd-Holder on the other.

I will like to ask this question: What is the Tithe as it relates to the New Testament Christian. Is it exactly 10% of someones income (or increase)? Which is no different from the tithe paid in the Old Testament. If it is restricted to 10% (or more) doesnt it translate to an obligation? and if the figure is not fixed what separates it from any other voluntary giving?

By the way, I do tithe.

KAG:
It was just something I was mulling over. I acknowledge and know that I'm an atheist, however I do practically everything your average run of the mill christian would do. I go to church, I have a tend to partake in christian apologetics, read the Bible etc. It seems to me the atheist moniker on its own does not aspects of my life. It also seems to some extent, that people who use the atheist label are not supposed to partake in those activities. I don't know if that makes it a clearer.

By the way the label isn't definite yet, I was hoping discussion would either iron out the kinks in the label, or make me drop it altogether.
Mr KAG
There's a fundamental flaw in your thinking. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem to believe being a Christian is about the things you do. Go to church, read the bible, do good deeds etc. Wrong. Its not about what you do but about who you are. Christianity is not about doing but being. Even Mahatma Gandhi did all the stuff you claim to do but that never m,ade him a christian. To be called a christian any kind at all depends on what God has made you to be in your spirit.

Romans 3 : 7
For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

Paul confesses he lied.
For those (like Kuns) who find it difficult to follow the old english style flow of the King James, this might help.

Rom 3:7 But [you say] if through my falsehood God's integrity is magnified and advertised and abounds to His glory, why am I still being judged as a sinner? AMP

Rom 3:7 Someone might argue, "If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner? NIV
Rom 3:7 “But,” someone might still argue, “how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”NLT

This is actually getting boring. People have tried to discredit Jesus for centuries and have failed. Out of frustration attention is now being turned to Paul. But looking at ALL the arguments against the apostleship of Paul, including the one above, i wonder why people just make up their mind to fight battles they cant win.

TravelRe: Traffic Issues In Lagos. What Can Be Done? by lafile(m): 11:08am On Jun 19, 2007
Ideally, a metro or subway system is the best solution.

1.However, lets realise that Lagos has grown (not developed) in leaps and bounds without any form of planning. It will be quite difficult to construct a workable subway system without enourmous changes which i doubt can be afforded.
For me I still believe a developed ferry system is the most viable solution for now. There is no where in the Lagos metropolis that cannot be easily accessed by water. Why dont we find a way of developing this?

2. The traffic situation in Lagos is caused by one of the following: Bad roads, inadequate road network, wrong road usage by road users and large number of vehicles on the road. All but the last one can be eliminated.
If all the port holes on our roads are filled, drainages cleaned and made to flow properly and earth roads tarred 30% of the traffic will have been reduced.
If more roads and bridges are constructed (for example leading in and out of V/Island) another 30% will have been reduced.
If Trucks dont park on the road, buses only use bus stops instead of picking and dropping passengers in the middle on expressways, if drivers are a little bit more patient and refuse to drive 'one-way', if pedestrians cross expressways only by using pedestrian crossing another 30% is gone
The last 10%? well we really cant stop people driving dem cars, can we?
