mukina2:What of me looking for a wife ![]() |
No2Atheism: If this was said by a muslim the world will say we are bunch of intolerant people who cant live peacefully with other faiths. At least it wasnt the direct word of Jesus. According to this dude christians arent even allowed to go into obusiness dealings with non christians , can i ask the dude does this include the jews as well? or is it just muslims. This is what i call chrisitan fanatism and extremism in its optimum manifestation. Even in islam we are allowed to d business with non muslims, we can have them as friends but not protectors as a nation, Muslim men are permitted to marry chritians and jews. |
We shall celeberate a celebereted leader ![]() |
Even OBJ was invited several times, Honestly i think Yaradua is making OBJ look like a wonderful president. |
The beauty of the quran is each time you read some verses u have read several times it will be like you have never read it before. Truly its a reminder like how Allah kept saying it was in surah Qamar. chapter 54. Another wonderful surah is surah hadid Chapter 57 not forgeting Waqiah Chapetr 56 . you will feel like being in jannah straight away. May Allah grant us all Jannah and i hope, wish and pray for Fridaus. Ameen |
$osisi:OSISI IS HAUSA !!!!!!!!!!? |
Bolarge:Gentleman read your statements again and analyse if there is any civility or decorum in it. As for me i do not throw insults at christians or people in here. I feel tempted to insult you but i will hold it back as the prophet PBUH said" A strong man is not the one who shows his anger but one who is able to supress his anger when angry" @Aremuganagan Please bro refrain from insults as it will lead us no where. We could differ in opinion and stuff but as matured people and intellectuals insults has no place in this. |
mukina2:Sorry Mikina2 seems my eyes ignored your question ![]() Well visiting of the grave i will have to differ with my bro Abuzola. Like i always say about differnces of opinion ,there is a difference of opinion among scholars on this issue and I will explain. In the eary period of islam the prophet forbade anyone from going to the graves and this was because islam was new and tawheed hasnt sunk deeply into the hearts of the muslims. There was a fear of the new muslims associating paganistic rituals of grave worship with islam. However in the latter part of islam the prophet said "In the past I have forbidden you from visiting graves, but now you may do so, for it might remind you of the next world.” (Reported by Ibn Majah) Notice the prophet never distinguished between men and women on this issue. The scholars that oppose women going to the graves believes this hadith relates only to men and hold on to another hadith to butress their point "Allah has cursed women who frequent graves for visitation.” (Reported by At-Tirmidhi) This hadith however the scholars that permit women visiting graves stated that this particular hadith is aimed at women who frequent the graves like the pagan arabs to wail, lament and cry frequently as it was a practise the pagan arab women used to idulge in. These scholars cited another hadith to butress their point "The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) passed by a woman who was crying by a grave. He said, 'Fear Allah and be patient.'" (Reported by Bukhari and Muslim). The permissibility is understood, as the fuqaha tell us because he did not forbid her from visiting the grave, and had it been unlawful it would have been obligatory for the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) to forbid her. Several scholars like Imam Qurtubi, Imam ibn Hajar al asqalani and a host of others permitted women to visit graves based on the Ahadeeth above. In the Hanafi school it is also allowed fo rwomen to visit graves as long as all the normal etiqettes of islam is in place like proper dressing and so on. Personally I hold on to the opinion of women allowed to visit graves from the Ahadeeth above. Wallahu a'lam N.B Abu zola have you come across these ahadeeth before? |
Bros if you must debate , do it with someone else not Noetic or you will forever be moving in circles and a sheer waste of time and energy. I have long concluded to ignore his posts. |

beingme:You are really being you for your objective statement. Many girls here are in the deinal when thousands of them are busy running after married men in Naija. Why are the aristos in campuses if there are short supply of such women. |
There is abslutely nothing wrong in it as long as you do everything within the confines of islam. I have couple of friends who met their husbands/wife online and have kids and so on. These are real and strong practising muslims. It does work and like in evrything in life could go wrong as well. |
$osisi:Now my question is who is light and who is darkness ? Who is an unbeliever as well. I repeat there are thousands of christians in the south west married to muslims. I know of so many |
$osisi:Tell that to the hundreds and thousands of yoruba christians who marry muslims. |
Is this really true ![]() |

adigun101:Could you expanitate your reasons why he paid a higher price. mind you musa yar adua has always been celeberated by the pwers that be. The conference center in Abuja named after him, every single year a gathering cum annual lecture is made in is honour with OBJ an Atiku always in attendance. Now Abiola isnt celeberated by the powers that be but celeberated by the masses . There must be a reason for this. Abiola hasnt never been recognised post humously by the federal govt but yaradua has . I will really like you to expantiate on your reasons for the above statement. |
tpacalipse:This statement is unfortunate!! Who told you they ever voted him into power. Every fool knows it was Adedidibu that rigged Akala into power and not the good people of oyo state. Try no to deride people in this manner |
He has increased the length of his gold chain He has added new brands of bleaching cream to his fleet. He ochestrated a fabulous 100 million naira wedding for his daughter Laudable achievements the police officer has acheived!!! |
@Ronkenuf Jazakallah sista The story of Ayub AS exemplifies or should i say eptiomises perseverance. Allah told the angels that there is a slave of his on earth that will always be upright no matter the circumstance and shaiytan begged to test Ayyub. Despite all his travils he never waivered and beleieve it or not he never asked God why did he afflcit him with the illness , interestingly he also never supplicated for the ailment to go . When it became really un bearable he still did not supplicate but he made dhikr (Yes there is adifference between dhikr and dua , it is a subject for another day inshallah i will like to write about). Ayyub said ". . . Inni masaniyyah Durru wa anta arhamo Raheemeen" Uncomfortablity has afflicted me and you are the best of those who show mercy" . The level and language in which the prophets communicated and talked to Allah is amazing. May the peace of Allah be upon them all. May Allah accepts our duas and forgive us our sins |
Food for thought bro. There are various things to analyse from the piece Didnt really understand your concept of money eradication vis a vis islamic resource based economy?? Fancy a chat with u whats your email bro? |
smegol:could you please re phrase you comment in a clearer way |
fellis:Sorry bro came back to the thread and saw this question Ahmad records that Abu Sa'id reported that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Any Muslim who makes a supplication containing nothing that is sinful and nothing that involves breaking ties of blood relationships, will be given for it by Allah one of these three things: He may accept his request, or assign its reward for him in the next world, or turn away from him an equivalent amount of evil." Those who heard it said, "We would, then, make many supplications." The Prophet, peace be upon him, replied, "Allah is more than ready to answer what you ask." The whole point is it is only Allah that sees the future and if there is an impending misfortune your dua might be answered to block that misfortune in an equal measure. Sins are also something that prevents speedy istijaba, we all commit sins daily and me myself i feel frustrated sometimes at the amount of my sins everyday but a slave has to avoid sins and seek forgiveness constantly. May Allah forgive us and expiate our sins. ( inshallah when i get some free time i will write on the topic of expiation of sins as different to forgiveness of sins) Wallahu a'lam |
In islam our women have a right to keep their fathers name after marriage, our women when they work have a right to keep the whole of their income and the husband still has to provide for her needs from her headscarf to the dressing of the toe nails and finger nails. Our women have several rights over the husband and many men dont know we offend God through our women in various ways particularly injustice to her and treating her unfairly. A muslim man has to be loving to his wife as Allah says in the quran 30 v 21 "And from among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who refle" One thing i will want us to note here is the arabic is " wa min ayatihi an khalaqa laqum min anfusikum azwaja litaskunnu ilaiha wa ja'ala baiynakum mawwaddatan wa rahamahtan . . . . . . " Love in arabic is Hubb but in this verse Allah did not use Hubb as in"muhabbatan" but Allah used mawwadatan which is a higher degree of love hence the verse was translated as affection and not love. Mawwaddatan is from one of Allah's 99 names which is Al Waddud (mostly translated as The loving but it is stronger than love". Such is the kind of affection expected between a man and his babygirl. If there is this affection then there will be mercy which is the next thing Allah says he will put between a man and his sweetheart. With these two things there will be no room of injustice and maltreatment in human context. A man that mistreats his wife and vice versa obviously doesnt have enough knowledge and the knowledge i mean here is the knowledge that leads one to fear Allah. Love is important in a muslim marriage and the verse above highlights that it is Allah that puts this love in the hearts of his slaves. If any married woman or man is not experiencing true love between thmeslelves they should always recite this ayah as foerever will be true the words of the Almighty. Wallahu a'lam |
This thread was going on fine until some usual people came on with their long piece of jargon as usual. Sometimes we know how to have a laugh within the confines of our faith if you guys dnt know. It seems u never get tired of fight fight fight and insults. Back to the topic , Aisha what have you decided now and dont worry about the attacks u get from some quarters as every one makes mistakes in life and the good this is when u realise it you retrace your steps. |
