People that say we can achieve a real nigeria without the eventual use of violence will forever live in dream land. What do you do too a shelling tank wave at it. Election will forever be manipulated and soldiers put on the street to kill protesters. The use of violence when neccessary is part of life and nature , we should not be over moral in this regard. If a thief comes into your house and attempts to rape your wife and mother and you find yourself in a position to kill the thief , would you not do it? or you will forever bury your head in shame and be a celeberity coward. If you are been bullied by someone and he beats the hell out of you , will you watch him kill you? , for goodness sake there is something we call self defence. Nigerians have to rise up to an organised revoution targeted at the elite ruling class and not innocent people. The concept of organisation and how to go about that is a different subject entirely. I am just trying to establish the first fact that we need something of this nature. The perpetrators of evil will forever terrorise us and trample on our intelligence. Nigeria is no ukraine and any talk of orange revolution is a mirage!!! the perpetrators of evil know the psyche of nigerians shout for two days and it is all over. Politicians go to courts, courts deliver judgements election are rigged again , politicians go to court again and by the time judgement is delivered again incumbent has completed 4 years of stolen mandate. This is just crazy, electoral reform is what every single person is singing but the powers that be are insulting the intelligence of our people. The uwais report is not been implemented. Oh shame , oh shame, oh shame When every peaceful negotiation or resolution has been made impossible violence is inevitable. The "beacon" of demcoracy understand this language and their Military is the largest funded in the world. The US is a product of revoltuion, France is, and a host of other countries. The perpetrators of evil need to be exterminated to the abyss of extinction!!!!!!! |
Mukinah you are right and it is unfortunate. A wife not workig depends on the Understanding between the wife and the husband. It is not forbidden for a woman to work and in fact whatever money she earns belongs to her as it is the responsibility of the husband to look after her right from the ribbons on her hair to the polishing of the nails on her toes. That is islam !!! Women have been exploited by every single culture and this will always remain I guess. However muslim women should not go along with the western style women liberation as it is just a recipe for societal and marital coolapse as we see in the western world. Muslim women shoul look inwards into islam and realise the abundant rights they have !!! Knowledge is power and knowledge is light!! We are all equal before Allah ta'ala and what differentiates us is our taqwa!!! In many verses of the quran Allah elevates men he also elevated women Surah 33 v35 Inna li muslimina wa muslimat, wal muminina wa muminat, wa qanitini wa qanitat … . . . ( The Muslim men and women, the believers men and women, the obedient men and women, the truthful men and women, the patient men and women, the humble men and women . . . . ) This is just to emphasise that men are not superior to women in any form before Allah and spiritually as well. Having said this , one must realise that in every aspect or organistion on earth a leader is always required. The home as well requires a leader and (note I haven’t said a boss) man is the natural leader of the home in every single culture. In Britain of the 40’s 50’s women never use to really work and they will make tea for their husbands look after the children and so on. Hoever men should never exploit this position and fear God in the dealings as the quran has stressed. Women played a significant role in the time of the prophet PBUH , they will treat the injured during battles , feed the army, some even fought side by side the prophet and a woman of repute may Allah be pleased with her stood her ground at the battle of Uhud when men ran away she stood by the prophet and defended him. Nasiba was her name the princess of strength and heart of a rock. Women are our mothers , sisters . Educate a woman you educate a nation. The prophet said whoever brings up his daughter in a pious way till maturity will be next to me in jannah. Such is the importance of our beloved sisters in the ummah. May Allah bless them all!!! Cuntries like Saudi Arabia have expoited women and that is a fact based on some strange interpretations of the quran. Women cannot drive which has no bloody basis in islam. Women cannot go shopping alone which has basis in islam as she isn’t travelling, some women are forced to use the niqaab which isn’t compulsory of all women and so on. The positive and good thing though is their women attend good universities and highly educated and some of them work which is good unlike in south asia where some groups don’t allow women attend western education which is a shame. |
Jazakallah for your response. The position of where in the sentence it is used doesnt matter in this case as it is a name (ism). The whole point stems from the concept of mudof ilaih in arabic. When the names of Allah are used in human context it doesnt symbolise the universal connotation of the almighty. When a person is being called by his name Razak you do not add alif wa lam. In a jumla(sentence) it is not every sentence you add alif wa lam before a muzakar in using it. You should note we have 14 permutations of nahw (grammar) and there is really no point going deep into this here as it is just arabic language we shall be analysing. e.g Kamaluun Rajulun aswad - Kamal is a black man. You do not put alif wa lam before such a sentence I do not know your level of arabic language but let me just delve briefly into nahw and talk in ism. From the perspective of iraab we have two classification of ism : Ism muttamakin and ghair mutamakin. Ism Muttamakin : Around 80 % of isms fall into this category and their grammatical state will reflect on their last letter and an example is what i wrote above the name Razaq in a sentence will be Razakun rajulun aswad. This ism mutammakin itself has 16 categories and their state of reflection could be in 9 different ways e.g huruf jarr, dhammah, kasra , fatha and so on but the reflection will be in the last letter and not before the sentence hence you cannot have AL before it. Ghair mutammakin: 20% of isms fall into this and it is also a mabni. This is classified into 8 categories and i will just talk on one which is relevant here and it is Ism mawsool: in explaining or understanding this kind of sentence one needs to know the mawsuf sifah(noun adjective) . This kind of sentence is similar to what is above where we have two isms and the second describes the first. Rajuluun karimuun (A noble man) - this kind of sentence is what we call Marifa (indefinite noun). To make it a Nakirah (definitive noun) one needs to add AL or AR , Ar rajul ul kareem (The noble man). I guess this is what you might be talking about regarding muzzakar. However the sentence with a name before it, it is already definitive and will never need an AL or AR before it hence grammatically you do not need to start a sentence with a name ism with AR or AL. e.g Jamaluun rajulun kareem. I hope i have been able to put this across as i know it is complex to fully understand. I also re iterate that to use Abdul before it is better however people that dont have it before their names are not committing shirk as long as they are not referring to themselves as the supreme being. Wallahu a'lam |
You could only use God to fight evil . you cant fight evil with evil . Darkness cant fight light, light will over come darkness. You muslim, christian or sumthin else |
Ma hadha? la afham |
@JJyou Like i explained there is a difference in the 2 faiths and i respect your view on this but this is our own doctrine. God can defend and in some instance like the battle of khandaq in Surah ahzab Chapter 33 of the quran . God fought his enemies himself without the prophet and his companions raising a single sword. But in life it is work and pray , we study for exams and then pray to God but God would let us pass without us reading. We work for food on our table but God would also feed us without us working. One of the conditions of shahada (testimony of faith) is al muhaba (Love for the shahadah). whatever you love you fight for , whatever you truly love you defend when something derogatory is said about him you defend. The prophets of God are our beloved and when anything ill is said to any of them we defend be it Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed (peace be on them all) Vicegerent simply means representative/deputy of a leader. |
JJYOU:That is the difference in the principles of the 2 faiths. In islam we defend the honour of God on earth as we are his vicegerent on earth. He will not come down to do things but out of real Love for God we defend the honour of the prophet of Islam. There is no break to apply but only telling troublemakers here to be civil and respect the faith of others. Respect begets respect. |
itsmayiela:The fact that our fore fathers practised something doesnt make it right i guess. Our fore fathers practised a whole range of things and sacrificed humans, virgin girls slaves and a range of traditional things. Do that today and you will rot in jail. Time has moved on and there is nothing foreign in religion. Chrisitianity isnt a thing of the west as the first followers of christ were jews and in the middle east. why do we accept science and practicse science i guess that is foreign to africa as well, why do we use hospitals, live in modern houses and not huts etc . |
mukina2: Abuzola:Honestly this is what i am saying tackling/deleting insults to Allah and his Rasul (AS) is simply not negotiable and uncompromising. I feel Abu zola's pain and any real muslim will as well. Insults to us is different and me for one do not reply insults with insult but what do we do if they insult God in our presence. ignore?laught it off? condone it in the name of tolerance? Certainly no and i think I have been patient on this forum but been patient should not translate into been passive. Lets do some real work so this thing will not degenerate into something else!!!! We do not want bros and sis leaving this section on NL we are already few and we dont want to be fewer do we? |
The guy/girl is serious o and people shouldnt take it is as a joke. @Poster becoming a witch will not solve your problem but u will be digging more holes for yourself by the time u have to sacrifice your mum, sista, bro and so on to payback the good they will offer u. You will surely regret been one especially when u will not be able to get any meaningful development to your life apart from harming others. |
@Bastage I think there is a big difference here , yeah most of the claims were under the law apart from those MP's that claimed for non existent mortgagewhich is fraud but in the jungle we come from there have been whistle blowers , we hear of their corruption everyday but how many of them have been convicted bearing in mind their is ouright illegal and there is no sense of shame. Humans will forever be greedy and if these MPs were Nigerians they probably will do worse things and that is where the accountability of a system comes into play. |
tpacalipse:food for thought!!! |
Sidelining of females i will say is more of a cultutral thing and depends in the part of the world we are talking about. I could be wrong but i know in Malaysia the females are involved in almost many things and in islamic activiites they involve them and their opinion counts well. In Saudi it is their culture to relegate women to the background and sideline them and not islam. In africa i think it is mixed in some places women are not sidelined but it some areas they are. But could you expantiate on the kind of sidelining we are talking about here. |
If any muslim insult Jesus then he his not a muslim and obviously of he insults God then he his not either. Please this section has rules and freedom of speech is in comformity with rules and regulations. The top of the section as set by Seun says islams for muslims. You either respect the rules or go blow your trumpet elsewhere. Arrogance is a bad quality !!!! |
fellis:Wallahi i concur with this statement. Q23 vs 1- 2 "Successful indeed are the believers , . . . . . . . .those who turn away from laghw (dirty talk, insults, falshood , lewd)" . Day in day out we see these insults on the prophet and Allah. The quran say believers should walk pass and avoid laghw and not sit in the midst of those who ridicule the signs of Allah. In order to make us not guilty of this crime most of this dirty talks should be deleted otherwise many muslims might just leave this board so as not to be answerable on the day of reckoning. I bet there are many muslsims who visit this site for the first time and see these things and just walk away as they cant control their emotions. We have to strike a balance between trying to accommodate non muslims here and defending the hounour of Allah and his rasul (PBUH). Imagine the reaction of the sahabas to this kind of statements. Tudor and co just write these things to arouse our emotions and get under our skins but we should never be immuned to these insults. Insults to us is fine but not to Allah and his Rasul. I understand this is the internet and the least we could do is to police this section and delete any post that contains those insults immediately. Anyone posting here should respect the rules of this section. We are not christians and we do not turn the other cheek when we are slapped . To my brothers please never insult their god so as them not revenging by insulting Allah. "And do not abuse those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest exceeding the limits they should abuse Allah out of ignorance. Thus have We made fair seeming to every people their deeds; then to their Lord shall be their return, so He will inform them of what they did" Q6 vs 108 |
Tùdor:The way you are going you will have heart attack on this forum if you dont calm yourself down. I will not get tired of repeating the same lines - insults has no place in a civil environment. |
He should make landlord charge a max of 6 months in advance but not eradicate in total. Many tenents will default and even the duration of eviction is shortened, thenents might still get away with a month or two's rent. What about all the Ikoyi luxury apartments rented out to business customers , i dont see any problem with that if they charge 2 years in advance. I couldnt imagine face me i face u tenants paying monthly and all the bottlenecks that come with it. |
folami86:I do not think she is insulting you rather she is please asking you to expanitiate on your threads and dont spring up conclusive statements without any justification for your statements. You have about 15 posts here withtin 10 days or so of you registering and none of them have been really contributed upon. You should ask yourself why? Even your christian brothers acknowledge this. Just learn to articulate your points and you do not need several threads to do this rather expantiate on your points and you will surely get good responses. |
The answer is NO but honestly there have been a few of those sort of miracles on Nigerian TV and the blind man could identify colour which implies something fishy in there. Those were all part of the reasons BOC banned miracles on Nigerian TV. |
It should definately be tradtional and a host of other faiths maybe hindus, hare krishna and lots. A few will be atheist as well though. |
this one no be news nah , everyone knows that she is a lackey and thief heself. |
JJYOU:Well maybe the paper spinned it then cos on BBC it was reported he was about to be retired when he made the claim. All the same most of them have been greedy and guilty of financial profiting by deception and the ones that claimed for a non existent mortgage guilty of fraud. The positive thing abt this country is there is accountability and these people genuinly feel the sense of shame. In the jungle we come from no single politican has been convicted of fraud or thieving since yaradua came in and it was only a few ribadu himself convicted. |
Sisters and ladies pls feel free to contribute here. I urge visitors here to please respect the topic and not deviate by uneccassry distractions please. |
Why dem no give their housemaids cars and drivers as well!!! yeye people |
Salam sisters just trying to create a thread were sisters can talk on issues regarding them and ranging from fiqh, marriage, aqeeda, education and so on. This could also help in getting better advice from muslims sis and bros as to what you will get in the romance and family section. |
miftah:Mashallah well said |
Akpangbon:Of course i like my country Nigeria and i was just asking a honest question based on your allegation and you could enlighten us and bring our attention to what we dont realise. |
Which projects are these and which ones did lots of people oppose. you could do us a favour by listing them. |
I better move on to debate with people who have contributed something positive and relevant to this thread and not get distracted as i will never stoop so low to trade words with you no matter how much of your typing and insults. JJYOU:Yeah Ghaddafi is obsessed with power and even like to call himself the kings of kings, he his an erratic fellow but i admire his guts to be honest. I found it worrisome when T.Blair went to libya in 2004 to shake his hand just to seal oil deals for BP and other companies. Money will indeed make anyone lose their sense of shame. Condo Rice i think also paid mad dog ghadaffi a visit. JJYOU:I think somethiong in the nature of EU might do a lot of good to Africa . Free movement of goods and citizens and a strong economic policy with a degree of autonomy to individual countries. One leader cannot be permamanent in sucha an arrangement and it will definately be a rotating thing so Ghadaffi cannot be a life leader of such an arrangement. However i will not want him to be the first leader because of peoples perception of him. I was just wondering if you take Ghaddaffi out of the equation what will be your view on this. the EU here reduced prices of most commodities, clothes and everyday items in europe until we can get good smart heads that willl not give the continent to cartels my vote is always against it.Yeah thats a positive thing we could learn from. |
arramyjay:I have long made this conclusion. I sometimes dont even take the pain of opening anything posted by him/her. |
arramyjay:babe that is what we get in this section. too bad |

wave at it. Election will forever be manipulated and soldiers put on the street to kill protesters.
