^^^^^Pirlo is another Italian player that has played well in this tournament.

Question: Can they (the Newspaper) or would they have drawn Pirlo as "an Ape" clinging to Big Ben, to show that he dominated England or whatever other excuses that can be manufactured for this inexcusable cartoon?

Any intelligent cartoonist would be "sensitive" to the fact that "being black" and being portrayed as a "savage Ape" in the same breath IS BAD TASTE and UNREFINED!

edicolove: Racism is not limited to whites. Anyone can be a racist. Trying to make racism a white thing I think is not right and won't end it. It is a human problem, not a white problem. The kind of "racism" you find here on NL is far terrible. The difference is that we have the same skin colour so we call it tribalism instead. But the same principle of "am more superior to you" applies.
Stop being an "ignorant Apologist"!
There is a wide difference between "Tribalism" and "Racism"....even the two words are "self-descriptive" enough!

---When "discrimination" is based on your RACE, especially your SKIN COLOR....====> RACISM
---When "discrimination" is based on your TRIBE.....===> TRIBALISM
The "key point" here, is to look out for "the reason" for the discrimination!

You cant be "racist" to one of your own race, going by the definition of racism itself.....it is "race" for gawd sake! angry angry

BTW: I dont think you've ever lived abroad before?
When you have lived abroad (as a "black/brown skinned person) on a permanent basis for like two or three years, (not short holidays, mind you)
Then come back here and lets see if you will still be making excuses for a "shameful disposition" towards another human being.

Like "Olodostein" puts it, a white person who is "racist", will always be racist, irrespective of whether you put your head on a platter for him!

If you doubt me, GO AND ASK OBAMA.....of the "He dont look like us, he dont speak like us, he dont even smell like us" fame! shocked shocked grin grin

Why this GEJ keeps deceiving Nigerians, is what l dont know.
Has he no shred of shame at all?
Why make promises you have no intention or ability to fulfill?

Below is a small catalog of his promises.....before he added "2020" to it! shocked shocked

GEJ: He promised such things as electricity, security, jobs, and education, as well as to transform the economy and combat corruption.
[He promised]:
•A five-year plan to revolutionize agriculture and establish industries in the country (Oturkpo, Benue State February 17);
•A four-year development plan that would open up the South-South geo-political zone (Calabar, Cross River State, March 7); it includes a blueprint for coastal roads and railways;

•A five-year development plan to accelerate development in the country (Asaba, 25 February);

•Roads and other basic infrastructure to be developed in four years (Akure, March 2).
•Road construction to take new five-year structure, ending yearly budgetary allocations (Ibadan, February 9);

•Five-year strategic plan for road projects (Bida, February 22).

•A holistic review of the nation’s our education policy (Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, March 12)

.In Aba on February 12, he promised to stamp out kidnapping; provide facilities that would boost the enterprising spirit of the Igbo; upgrade the Enugu airport to international level; dredge the River Niger; build a dry port in Aba for Igbo businessmen; complete the Second Niger Bridge; rehabilitate all the main roads into Abia; tackle the erosion crisis; and make Aba the Ground Zero of eventual aircraft production in Nigeria.
.In Uyo on March 7, he promised to build coastal roads and rail from Lagos to Calabar.

.In Awka on Feb 26, he said he would construct all the major roads which link Anambra with its neighbors; complete the ongoing aero-dynamic survey of gas in the Anambra River basin, which [leading to] power supply, then Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industry”; complete the second Niger Bridge; and complete the Onitsha Inland Port. Nigerians would not be talking about generators after his four years in office, he vowed.

.In Bauchi on February 9, he promised to intensify oil and gas exploration in the North-East Zone; boost agriculture, power and water supply; provide dams and power projects; establish two universities in the region; construct schools with modern facilities for 9.5 million Almajiris; and combat rising terrorism in the area.

.In Asaba on February 26, he announced that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation would create jobs for over 5,000 youths in the region; promised to transform the Nigerian oil and gas industry and make it the destination of choice for investors in Africa; convene a stakeholders meeting across the country where communities will be able to determine their priority programmes.

.In Dutse, on March 17: Jonathan promised to establish airports in all the states without airports, with Jigawa as his starting point.

.In Abakaliki on Feb 25, he promised the South East geo-political zone priority attention, especially in fixing its dilapidated road network and in healthcare delivery; dualize the Enugu-Abakaliki Express Road within one year; convert the Federal Medical Centre in Abakaliki to a teaching hospital.

.In Enugu on February 12, he promised to stamp out kidnapping, ensure facilities that would enhance the enterprising spirit of the Igbo; upgrade the Enugu airport to international level; dredge the River Niger; build a dry port in Aba for easy access to Igbo traders; and complete the Second Niger Bridge

.In Birni Kebbi on March 20, he promised to establish schools for Almajiris, boost agricultural produce, ensure the take-off of the Federal University in Kebbi next year.

.In Lokoja on February 21, he promised to revive the Ajaokuta Steel Complex and the Itakpe Iron Ore Company; explore the agricultural potential of the state to boost food security; establish a new federal university; ensure the speedy completion of the Lokoja-Abuja road project, and dredge the lower and upper River Niger.

.In Ilorin also on Feb 21, Jonathan promised to end discrimination along ethnic and religious lines; tackle poverty; agricultural transformation of Kwara State; rehabilitation of the nation’s railway system; rehabilitation of the Ilorin-Mokwa road. He would also revitalize ailing industries and grant loans to farmers (objectives for which, he said, funds had already been earmarked).

.In Lafia on February 7 at the North Central Zone launching of his campaign, Jonathan promised to end chronic power shortages; improve health and education; ensure food self-sufficiency; manage oil revenues better; create a Sovereign Wealth Fund. He would also clampdown on kidnappers and criminals; pursue law breakers to the ends of the Earth, and ensure there would be no sacred cows. He guaranteed a university in every state; proper care for communities along the water ways; and construction of a refinery.

.In Lagos on February 28, Jonathan promised to partner with Lagos State in the interest of its continuous growth and the nation’s economic buoyancy.
“We have taken this period to study what we are going to do and by your mandate in May 29, we will hit the ground running,” he said.

.In Jos on February 17, he promised “a straight fight” against poverty; to create wealth by improving power and water supply; to build more dams and complete ongoing ones in order to boost irrigation farming in Plateau; to complete the Vom-Manchok-Jos road to boost economic links between Plateau and Kaduna states; to encourage more agricultural research institutes; refocus on solid mineral development.

.In Minna on Feb 15, he promised to establish three power projects in the state at a cost of $2.1bn (about N315bn).

.In Port Harcourt on February 12, at the launching of his South-South Campaign, he promised to commence “transformational changes” in the South-South; said the NNPC had begun investing in the petrochemical industry in the region; that the people in the region would be given a voice in the oil and gas sector. He promised to make the Niger Delta region the hub of the petrochemical industry in Africa.

.In Abeokuta, on March 12, he promised to revive the railway system; revive ailing refineries; build new refineries.

.In Akure on March 2, Jonathan promised that the bitumen deposits in the state would be exploited for economic development and employment generation; to provide funds for small and medium scale enterprises, mechanised farming and agro-based industries; and to partner with relevant agencies to harness the agrarian nature of the State “to open up the flank of semi and mechanized farming in the State to engender a paradigm shift from subsistence farming to reliable modern agricultural practices.”

.In Osogbo on March 2, he promised to complete the Lagos-Jebba rail project right away; complete the Ife-Ijesa dam; enhance agricultural irrigation; provide farmers with adequate information; invest in petrochemicals, mining, research and development.

.In Ibadan on February 9, at the SouthWest launch of the campaign, he promised to: run a transparent government; treat all citizens equally; respect law and order; turn around the nation’s bad road network.

.In Gusau on March 15, he promised to establish a federal university of technology within one year.

Jonathan’s fourth and final confetti carton of promises seemed designed to overwhelm anyone who had not yet folded under the avalanche:

•N50 billion set aside in 2011 Budget to facilitate employments for the youths (Ondo, March 2);

•Build car manufacturing or assembly plants (meeting with leaders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Abuja, March 21);

•Revive ailing oil refineries and build new ones (Abeokuta, March 12)

•Collaborate with state governments to explore the solid minerals sector (Gusau, March 15);

•Spend N350 billion in building small dams across the North in the next four years to stimulate “massive irrigational farms” (Northern Economic Summit, Kaduna, March 19);

•Expand and develop the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry to provide about one million jobs (one-man presidential “debate,” March 31, Abuja);
•Make Nigeria an exporter of rice (Presidential Summit on Job Creation, Abuja, April 12);

•Crackdown on piracy in the entertainment industry (Presidential Summit on Job Creation, Abuja, April 12)

.In Onitsha on February 27: “I do not make empty promises in my campaign because whatever I promise to do, I had already carried out adequate study to make sure I can accomplish it in the next four years.”
My Request: Can he or any of his die-hard supporters, tick-off those of these PROMISES.....that he has COMPLETED or ACCOMPLISHED! shocked shocked

To me, he comes across as a "classic Ijaw Con-man"! grin grin

He seems not to get tired of "promising"! shocked

Gej has completed the construction of both Mambilla and Zungeru power plants, yet canuck says nothing is being done. Gej has also refurbished Alaoji, Utorogu, calabar, Omotosho plants in line with his revival of NIPP . Yet some haters don't see anything. JUST the other day, we saw Brasilian electric giants Electro bus sign MOU to participate in the ongoing privatization of PHCN, yet haters say nothing. Few days ago, we saw a topic in this forum whereby SHELL had gone to establish a gas plant for power stations in IMO state in line with FG's agreement with them for the upward review of tariffs. Yet haters say he's clueless. People are just hating and sounding like broken records.

Sell that crap somewhere else!
Dont mind them, let them be behaving like "Bush people" ...online!

First, Intel Quad core Processors have been around since 2007! I still have the Toshiba Equium Laptop l bought then, with that Processor!
Secondly, even the i-Series Intel Processor (i3, i5 and i7) have been around for over a year now! These are second generation.

Let me also add that the Sony Vaio "E-Series" are about the "lowest basic spec" among Sony Vaio Laptops.

No wonder they are "introducing and debuting it" in Nigeria........when other parts of the world has moved on since three years ago and will not buy
it grin grin
If you want to really get serious, Try the "F-Series or the S or Z-Series" (will set you back for like $2000 sha, depending on the "add-ons" you pick.).
Note: those prices are "starting from", not the selling price! wink grin

Google the web for the different "series" and saw this: http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&identifier=S_Notebooks&SR=tab:store:brand_bin:vaio_computers:ss

BTW: Dell Laptops are one of the worst Computer asset you can put your money on.
Trust me on this! I have them, l work with them and l repair them.

Major problem is their "Power Charging system". (That area where you plug the Power supply into the Laptop)
Within a year , it will come loose INSIDE!...yes, inside the Laptop, on the Mother board.
Then, it will therefore stop charging your battery. Eventually, your battery would die naturally of "over-drain".

The only time you will be able to use it is when you plug it directly to NEPA.....and those one are so unreliable!.
Imagine you are doing some serious work (Coding, school work like Project, Web design, Architectural Rendering, e.t.c) and all of a sudden, NEPA does as usual? YOUR WORK IS GONE IMMEDIATELY!.....at least up to your last 'save'

Eventually, the "sudden power cuts" would trash your operating system and board-level components.
That is the end of your beautiful DELL LAPTOP!

If you doubt me, ask anyone that has used a Dell for like 2 or 3years. Ask them the challenge they face.
I currently use my last one as a door stopper! grin grin

TRUST IS NOT BUILT IN ONE DAY OR EVEN ONE YEAR! shocked shocked

BUT IF YOU DONT START IN ONE DAY, EVEN IN TEN YEARS, YOU STILL WOULD NOT HAVE BUILT ANY TRUST! wink wink

Because of What Boko Haram has done and is doing, it has destroyed the "fragile trust" between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria.
Moreso when we look back and realize this is not the first time......and likely not to be the last!

So, where do l start to trust our Muslim Brothers? How do l start to build that trust, if another Bomb goes-off tomorrow and l loose a loved one?
This is my question for our Muslim brothers........I need an answer, please.

Having said that, l feel and know that there are a lot of "good natured Muslims' out there.

It is these ones l want to befriend.
It is these ones that have a "very big job" on their hands.....to change the negative perception about Muslims.

You say "We serve the same God" but the other day when l watched a video of a Muslim man "slaughter another Muslim that converted to Christianity"...LIKE A GOAT!......in the name of Allah, which he chants as he killed a fellow man

I ask myself: Will l kill for my own God like this? NO
Would my own God accept this kind of evil, from me? NO
Does my own God demand that l kill those who exercise their "free conscience" to either serve him or not? NO
Would my own Book of Religion (Bible) promise me exquisite pleasure in paradise, for taking another man's life, in God's name? NO
Would my own God preach hatred and destruction of a fellow man...just because he chose to worship something different? NO!
Would l like a human being like myself to inflict pain on me and take my LIFE? Hell NO

Then why should l take pleasure in doing same to OTHERS?

WHERE THEN IS THE "SIMILARITY" IN THE GOD WE WORSHIP......That you can proclaim: we worship the same God?

I love Muslims, juts like l love other human beings (be they atheist or Christians or traditional worshipers) but Muslims have to re-examine their religion.
They have to question their beliefs!
They have to be "human first" (with all the basic morality of humanness!) before even claiming to be "Religious".

Of what benefit is a Christian who goes to church every day but hatches evil in his heart?
OF what benefit is a devout Muslim who bows that seven times every day but yet would not blink and eye in slaughtering or bombing his friend who is not a Muslim?

Make no mistake: God is NOT HUMAN that he needs humans to fight on his behalf!

The Christians made thsi same stewpid mistake some centuries ago (During the Crusade years), killing those who dont believe in Christianity of that time! But now, we know better, we know we were very ignorant and foolish and were being used by the Devil itself, through our evil religious leaders of that time!

Could "ISLAM" e in that stage, three hundred years later?
Think about it, my Muslim friends...think about it with an open heart.....you just might see how foolish and ignorant it appears to me right now.

I know it not easy to "challenge what you believe-in" but l tell you, that is why you are made in the image of God, different from a Cow or Dog!
You can think and reason.....and choose that which is right in your conscience.

Make the effort today and may the spirit of the true God guide and inspire you to do good.

While your advise is not shabby I think she should focus on protecting her self 1st before challenging the other woman.

OP ball is in your court.
Left to me, as l said in my earlier post (#6 or so) she should not even have any direct dealing with the other woman. It is the Pastor that caused "problems" by handling things in a childish manner. He should be the one to rectify the situation but like yo said, she needs to be on "sure ground" which l think she is, as she has a good alibi (She'll simply say: He never told me he was "legally" married to anyone before......and the worst that ca happen is that her marriage is voided....though it is already null "IF" the previous marriage was done under the Act.)

Polygamy itself is not an offense, it is Bigamy (In Polygamy, when the earlier marriage was under the Act and a second one is conducted under the same Act) that is prosecutable in the U.K.
In Nigeria, they would simply turn a blind eye.
In Lagos state, l even understand Bigamy is no longer a "criminal offense" and no man can be jailed for Bigamy! smiley

Oh so you didn't see the above abi? You are the one mixing legality with morality. He has a legal obligation to dissolve the union if he felt abandoned. The law is clear on this, morality on the other hand may excuse him but the law does not.

The grounds for divorce in bible are clear and abandonment is not one of them. Yes it says do not neglect but is there a follow up caveat to say divorce is allowed because of that NO!

The simple fact is devoid of my personal sentiments, the OP should seek legal advise.
Just point to the place where "legally married" occurred in that your quote above and l will concur, please.
FYI: There is no legal obligation to dissolve a marriage that was not contracted legally!
It just does not exist in law.

If l may ask: what then is "the restitution for Neglect in marriage"? CELIBACY? Visiting Prostitutes?
Common, lets apply some common sense here and be realistic.
There are "expectations" in any contract and marriage is one.
If "performance is lacking" in a contract, you can sue for restitution on one hand or void the contract on the other hand (whereby the other party looses their own right in that contract, to put it in lay man's term)
If l contract you to build me a house for a consideration of say ten Naira, if you fail to build the house, you automatically lack the locus standi to sue me for payment, its a simple as that!
Same way, if l marry you with the expectation that l would have sex with you as my husband or wife ( a basic expectation in marriage) and you deny me of that conjugal right, "all bets are off" as far as that marriage is concerned and even the Bible in its wisdom agrees with this, hence the "admonition"!

deols: oh, thanks sweet. I answered from my own perspective, not giving her religion any consideration. I understand her frustration then and of the other people who'v made contributions.

I only think though that polygamy seems a very realistic ish considering how many Christians haven been found practicing it. Last week, I heard of a pastor whose wives knew each other only after his death. The younger has three children and he kept them both within Nigeria.
Na today? It is called HYPOCRISY: Do as l say, but dont do as l do!
Even Christ made allusions to such behavior when he said "I have not come to increase your burden and place heavy weight on your shoulders, as your religious leaders do, knowing they themselves cannot and would not carry such weight on their own shoulders"!

That is the greatest fraud in Christianity!
It is similar to the "Catholic Celibacy'.......which the upper hierarchy preaches and forces down the throat of the fledgling ones while yanking the back-hole of young alter boyz! shocked shocked grin grin .......and practicing lesbianism on themselves!

I still wonder if l will ever speak with David, Jacob or even Abraham, not to talk of blessing Solomon, if l am God and l really detest Polygamy as we the present day Christians "preach" in church......of course, just in the church naaah!

We cheat on our spouses at random, we marry and re-marry, we fornicate before marriage, we carry Aristo while n the University and do all sorts of debauchery yet we 'assume' some pious position in "PUBLIC", just for others to admire and stand in awe! See the fraud level?
@lastpage
I cannot believe you are justifying the actions of this man! He was not LEGALLY divorced from his first wife and here you are saying that she did not ask so he didn't tell. Is it not written in your own bible that "officers" of the Church should be husbands of one wife? So where do you get off justifying this man's action?

This lady is in effect a second wife and UK law states that "Bigamy is a crime under section 57 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861. If someone is caught entering into another marriage whilst still being legally married and is convicted on indictment, they are liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years."

Please I advice the OP to seek legal advice as soon as possible before this matter affects her negatively.
Except l did not see it, l cant even see where it was stated that he was "legally married" to the first woman, ab initio? Did l miss that...... or you just added it by yourslef?
By the way, assuming he was legally married to her, it is the man who "mis-represents" his marital status that is liable of bigamy, not the woman in this case. The lady was never involved in any "legal" marriage before now. That is what l call "free consultation" without request! grin

Now, you're mixing two different things: "Legality" in Law and "Morality" in Religion.
Both are not the same 'cos while homosexuality (same sex marriage) is "legal" in Law in the U.K, it is a spiritual taboo in Christianity!

Now, may l ask: Is it not written in that your same Bible that "One spouse should not neglect their wifey/husband duties to their other spouse?
Is a spouse who absconds for over two years not gone against that Biblical injunction?
Can that spouse (who absconded) not be accused of at the least, indirectly being responsible for any adultery committed by the "dumped" spouse? (since sex is part of God's will for grown and married adults)
If so, then does the same Bible not allow that as a "valid ground" for divorce?
Read your Bible again and come back so we can shed more light on those questions l asked, please.

Let us not put our "personal feelings and emotion" into this matter, deal with it on "face value", like most Lawyers would do.

cheers,

Family › Re: Help! My Hubby Is Married With Kids And I Never Knew! by lastpage:
Now to the story proper:
First, l wont blame the lady that much.
You can only know as much as the other party (your spouse) wants you to know (except you just struck luck and one "ameebo" whispered in your ears! grin)
But we all know how "abroad" is now? It is "mind your Business" to the core! Especially for a "just-come" like her!
Is it not the same abroad that some sleep with their husband's best friend and he does not have a clue about it while it is the talk of the town?
In most cases, you see "other" people's backside but it is others who will be seeing yours!

Again, if your wife or husband abandons you (as this story portrays), he/she has discharged you from your spousal responsibility..........As the Bible instructs "Husbands/Wives not to neglect or deprive their spouse of their conjugal responsibilities"!.....Am l speaking the truth or not?
Simply put, you have violated the marriage oath.

Depending on how long the wife abandoned her home (story shows it is definitely over two years), she probably may have committed adultery with another man somewhere, just like the husband (body no be firewood as some would say) but the point l am making is that in all probability, that marriage died a long time ago!
So, why do women in particular, always comeback to fight over a "dead marriage" they have no intention of resuscitating at all?
Is it Wickedness or Vengeance or both?

Why did she not show-up in the last two years that he married this other woman? Which man has been "loving her" all the while?
Is a married man supposed to be without sex for over two years? Is that not one of the pillars of marriage, that each may enjoy the pleasure of one another? Does she want to turn the man into another pedophile, if he cant find himself another woman? Would she even have thought about 'showing face' if this man is ruined and turned onto one alcoholic living off the streets
(I have seen men whose life got turned upside down like that, when their marriage crashed and their kids where taken away from them, so no arguments there!)

These are the issues we must look at, critically before passing "judgement" on the Pastor... (and l don like them one bit, if you want to know wink )...because the same 'high yardstick' we use in judging him will be used in judging us as well, in all areas of our life.

But then, This Pastor made one BIG ERROR
: He should have gone the whole hog and divorced this woman, before taking on another wife!
Any sensible man should know by now that most women (your former wife) will do anything and everything to destroy you, if you ever have reason (genuine or counterfeit) to leave her for another woman, even if she is the one that left you! they expect you do die of misery and loneliness but if you choose to find happiness again, that makes them go crazy and become patently evil. That is just the bare truth.

That is why they say "hell has no fury like a woman scorned". It does not matter what you've done for her in the past, whether there are children involved or she is the one that wronged you. Women generally speaking (except for a very rare few) are very Vengeful and unforgiving!

Having said all the above,my suggestion for the @Op is this:

1,) take a deep breath, all hope is not lost. Love is wherever, with whoever you find it. Dont listen to all those "dooms-day sayers", they just want to destroy your happiness. They are all sadist, believe me!

2.) Tell your 'secretive' Pastor husband to "come clean completely" with you. You are his best friend for now, the most trusted person in his life. If you truly love him dearly and he has been half as good to you as you wrote above in your post, THIS IS THE TIME TO SHOW HIM WHAT TRUE LOVE MEANS. Stand by your man....and you will come to thank me in future. Nothing brings out the best in a man than this sort of trials. He will remember you forever. Dont join those who want to hit him on the head, when he is already down!

3.) Lay low and tell him to file for a divorce right away, just to be on the safe side. Depending on where they got married, (if it is in Nigeria, all the better) he should go there to seek his divorce, quick-quick. Once he gets that marriage legally dissolved, the noise would eventually die down with time. BTW: Was she coming out of the wood-works now, to be with him as his wife or what exactly (if not just trouble) does she want?

4.) Dont let that his winch former-wife lay her hands on your marriage Cert o, she will use it to destroy your man asap! In fact, burn it, it is of no legal importance and can cause your man serious heartache, if you get my drift? (Though we are just assuming they had a legal marriage but if that is not the case, you're home and dry with your own Certificate (one of the reasons guys are beginning to get wary of these women who insist on "legal marriage" 'cos "if and when shyte hits the fan, the same woman who was begging you for a legal marriage would use it as a weapon against you!......and it can be very nasty, especially "abroad"!)

5.) Have nothing to do with the other woman, no arguments, no shouting match, in fact, you have nothing to say to her! Its between your man and her former husband (I used "former' 'cos as far as l am concerned, any man/woman that neglects his/her spouse and bails-out of the marriage for over one year, has "dissolved that marriage" De Facto! )

6.) Be strong, you will face a lot of temptation in the coming weeks and months, evil men and women would try to "burden you with the yoke they themselves would not carry in form of destructive advices (remember what Jesus said about the Pharisees and Sadducees?). Just bone-face and leave the "leg-work" for your husband to do.

7.)Finally, impress it on him that he MUST contribute to the upkeep of his children from that former union. In as much as he cannot guarantee what the woman will do with the money, for his own conscience's sake, he MUST pay money by account transfer (never direct cash hand-over! or pay it to the courts if she refuse to provide her account details), for the upkeep of the children. He should also try, as much as the woman will allow and l know what women will do in this scenario, try to play his fatherly role in the children's life! They played no part in all the shyte that is happening and the effect on them has to be minimized as much as possible.

I wish you strength, wisdom and courage.

Trust Nigerians and their "Sanctimonious, Holier-than-Pope attitude"!
Before l go into the details of this affair, let me ask the following questions:

Kobojunkie: Assuming this is all true . . .

a) make sure he is still not married. Since you did not know he was married before, at least make sure now that he is at least officially divorce, and it is not the case that he bailed on the first marriage. If he did, chances are you are not only an ADULTERY by Bible standards, but the likely next victim.
Did you not read that it was the other woman that left him or where are you getting your own version of events from?
Kobojunkie: b) Make sure your parents know of this. The worst you can do is try to keep this to yourself. Accept your fault in this and make sure that those around you are aware of the situation. Should he try anything miserable next, the last you want is to end up an UNSOLVED MURDER case. grin
Where in the story did you figure out this part? How is it her fault?
If the Pastor did not murder his former wife, why would he now want to murder this new one.....or are you just trying to complicate the dilemma of this poor woman the more, by SCAREMONGERING HER?
Are you just trying to sow further hatred into her? Why on earth would you "plant" the idea that he can murder her, into her head?
Chei, see as devil dey work? shocked shocked
Kobojunkie: c) Look into ensuring your finances and you life is not wrapped up in this individual. Yes it is all great to claim/pretend he is a changed man. But consider your changed man, under God, withheld the truth from you, and probably from the mother of his four kids, when he married you(she probably does not know of you either). You do not know his credit history in the UK(I am guessing) and chances are his past marriage is not the worst of his past you are not aware of.
Again, there you go again! Making wicked assumptions and conjectures! Stick to the facts please.
Where did you see FOUR KIDS in the @OP's post? Chineke God! huh huh Hmmmmmm......stop crying more than the bereaved nitori Olorun, for Gawd's sake!

From the @OP's account, the man has been "everything to her" apart from this "untold history" in his past. In case you miss it, The Pastor did not lie to her, but he did not tell her he has a previous marriage.
To "lie" is to recount an "untrue account" of a past event.
If you keep quiet (as they do in Police interrogation:... anything you say may be used in evidence against you!...) when not asked a question, you have NOT LIED! "Not providing unsolicited information" is not a crime; it may not "speak well" in your favor though!

This is the situation in this case. She did not ask, .....he did not volunteer the info.

We can ask: WHY did he not "volunteer" the information?
But that would be a moral question and the reasons can be many and justifiable.
For example, the @OP said that "The Former wife abandoned him" (and probably that is why she did not see any trace of another wife in those courtship an early marriage period) so, why bring up an issue, if it appears to have "disappeared" by itself........(well, as we know the ways of a scorned wife, hell has no furry like one!.....only to re-appear not to make-up but to break the peace in this new union!)

By the way, how many women tell their husband their "true and full history"? How many women can actually do so? And how many men "dont have secrets", those ones you call 'harmless' secrets or even lies?
Even you "Kobojunkie" that is morally-grandstanding here, can you swear that you dont have secrets that is only known between you and God alone...and no one else?

Its very easy to point "dirty fingers" at others but like Jesus said in the Bible said, "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone".
If the man truly believes that part of his life is history (from the account given by the new woman) why create problems where one is not evident?
It would have been better if he opened up completely to her but then, if you think deep, you will agree that at times, "it is better to let sleeping dogs lie" since we dont all manage "crisis" in the same manner.

Kobojunkie: d) Stop being ignorant. Not everyone who claims to be of God is Godly. Investigate him(not do a shoddy job now) to make sure that i) he is not now even involved in some other marriage apart from the first you now know of and ii) he is not playing around with other potential future wives.
I want to believe you are matured in age and in a position to advise younger women!
Any woman that will advise a younger one this way, is unfit of that role.
I cant remember the verse where the Bible talks about the role of the "older women" and how they should conduct themselves in relation to younger or newly married women but l recollect that asking them to "investigate their husbands in this snoopy manner" is NOT one of them.

Some "Good women" would have said: Sit him down properly and ask him to tell you everything you need to know about his pasts and any relationship or other skeletons he may have. That is how to "build relationship" but setting a "private investigator" on your husband is just another recipe for further disaster.
How would you feel if your husband planted a "private investigator" on you?
Wont you be the first to scream "he does not love me, he does not trust me, he watches me every time, he lacks love, he this - he that?

How would you "build Love", if you cant "build Trust"?
To Love, you must show faith...How can you then show faith in someone you dont trust?
Is that not why they say "Love is blind"? because it overcomes all distrust, with faith!

That is why l said we Nigerians can be the biggest hypocrites living!

Computers › Re: Is Tablet Pc's Taking Laptops Out Of Fashion? by lastpage: 3:40am On Jun 21, 2012
Where do you live? In an office? Most purchases of desktops are made by Corporate Organisations and for official use whether big business or home office. To say laptops have not replaced desktops is like saying mobile phones have not replaced the desktop phone and you'd be living in the last century.

As for designing websites on a tablet all it takes is the right tools. If those tools are not available for the tablets yet they soon will just as Autocad has released its tablet tools as well as Adobe so will others. Are you kidding me about word processing? Or even spreadsheeting? Gosh dude do a little research before you make comments like these because I wonder what you call the Quick Office tools.

Simulation is processor intensive and will come when processing power on the tablet grows to match its laptop cousins.

To think that tablets won't make the laptop substitution is living like an ostrich with its head in the sand.
If your analogy is correct, then Laptops should have made the Server/Desktop substitution by now...or have they not been around long enough?

Can you show me one office, even if its not a "Corporate Office" where the Database Server is housed on a LAPTOP...please show me!
Gosh, you mean you can replace one of them IBM RS Servers where banks host customer database/transaction database and their banking software, on a Laptop!

hehehe, dont make me laugh into coma, abegi you pleaze!

Lastpage!

BTW: Since Technology is ever evolving, in future, Tablets may become more powerful compared to the "Toy" they are today, with more "miniaturization and integration" but so also is the increase in "processing power and data size" requirements of 'users' which will still make Tablets inadequate for specialized purposes as mentioned earlier. There will always be "classes" of computers and Tablets will always remain in their own 'class'.
