(Contd) With the current very high rate of employment in Nigeria, it has become an "employers call". Imagine if someone job-hunted for five years after graduation...and finally got a job in one of these "heartless organizations" and was given "a very unrealistic target" to be met within a few months.(some of those target are so huge you would wonder where "the boss" expects that money to come from, looking at the current financial climate!) DOES THAT PERSON JUST WORK AWAY FROM THE JOB? DOES THAT PERSON HAVE A CHOICE OTHER THAN TO "TRY AND SEE" if he or she can meet up? This is where the "wickedness of Nigerian Company Executive Management" comes into play. This is how they treat "humans" like commodities! How does one explain for example, someone employed as an I.T. staff (B.Sc Computer Science, with I.T. certifications included), to be given a "marketing target of say 100 Million Naira", under the guise of "everyone is a marketer"? when and how does such person concentrate on his/her "core-skills and responsibilities while looking for money to "meet target"? What then is the job of all these "highly paid Directors and Top Management staff", if they cannot mobilize fund for their organizations (after all, they are not the one doing the daily routine work), despite all the fantastic pecks they corner for themselves? Why do they push their own "primary responsibility" (sourcing for funds; for which they have failed woefully), unto the young and insecure recruits and lower cadre staff? Is this not a serious abuse of position and power? For example, l know of a "Director" in an Insurance company (Crusader Insurance) whose only job/pastime is to go about "watching what lower cadre staffs are doing", (class monitor style, like he does not have an H.R. Departmental head/staff!) while neglecting his core-duty of "networking and raising funds for the organization"! The same man who cannot even meet a tenth of his target, is the one harassing junior staff, setting ridiculous target for them and sacking them for not meeting their target! THIS IS THE TREND AMONGST EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT NOWADAYS! A SORT OF "TRANSFER OF AGGRESSION". I will continue later. Lastpage! |
tlops: We need a way of protecting employees rights and security at work... I think the law makers need to look into job security issues in Nigeria especially in the banking sector.Thank you very much for the above contribution. First, this thread should not be about Access Bank only, it is a general phenomena, in the "Nigerian Working Environment". Its not just banks but MOST PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS in Nigeria that "abuse their staff". Insurance, Private educational sector, one-man business, e.t.c But then, what do we expect in a country with "Youth Unemployment hovering around 50%" and where labors laws are never enforced? Reading the comments of many people on this thread, one would feel sorry for this country! The comments show that we as a people, are "morally bankrupt"; as a result of "our economic situation", we have become like "Animals in the Jungle" where a Dog eats a dog! *Some have even opined that she deserves to die because she did not resign! How callous can we get? Have you ever dug deeply into why many want to "start their own business" but need to work as an employee, for some years, in order to raise "Capital"? What if they die in the process? Most people do these "slavery jobs" because they need to work and they dont have another job waiting, not even a self-business! *Some have blamed her husband, for allowing her to work but they failed to 'stop and think': What if, even her husband is one of those men who were laid-off, in the mass retrenchment going on since 2008......and they depend on the wife's current income, for the bulk of the family expenses? How then can he simply tell her: My dear, stop that work joor? Why cant we just for once, look at ourselves as "humans, with some dignity and self-value"...and demand to be treated like one? Why do we think our lives have become so "VALUELESS" that "anything-goes"? Why do we have "labor laws? Why do we have laws that regulate how long a "worker" must work? Why do we have laws that allow workers to go on "annual rest" within a calendar year? Why do we have laws that allow women to go on maternity leave, when pregnant or rearing a newly-born baby? Can we now say all these laws are unnecessary? Let me continue later! Lastpage BTW: This may be long, so "please skip it", if you are the type that cant discuss issues "in-depth". |
Can any Phone genius interprete this?!!
Apart from the "Dual SIM ability", this is a very LOW END version (and l mean very very washed/watered down version) of the Galaxy S3. If your priority is ability to "dual sim", then good but there are other phones that can do that as well. But we should never compare S3 to this Duo. How can l for example, step-down from using 8-MP pictures to 5-MP? How can l step down from recording video in "High Definition" (l have abandoned my Lumix camera for some time o!) to recording in VGA? I wonder why they are scaling the "camera" of Samsung phones down? The S2 has 12Mp camera and when l use it, the pictures are so good you wont ever need a camera at any function you attend. I think its like when Nokia made the "Lumnia" for "poor people"! ![]() It is affordable but shyte all the way!......compared to the other high end Nokia phones. In terms of storage S3 doubles the storage of the Duo. In terms of RAM, S3 has 1GB while this one has three-quarters. These become important when you run applications and games.....and the Duo starts crying "no more memory to run this application" while the S3 is still flying (like our old Win 98 Vs. Win7 Computers )Processor in the Duo is also "lower" (1GHz) which means it will be sluggish, compared to the S3 (1.4GHz). Small but very crucial things like "natural language voice command, Eye tracking, Drop Box for saving your files online, Google maps are lacking in the Duo. Battery life is lower in the Duo which means you got to recharge more often. Serious;y speaking, l thinking some "Daddies" just went to lobby Samsung to do a version for Nigerians (Dual Sim) or their kids in college ![]() Just my ten cents sha. Lastpage |
noblezone: The "Occupy Nigeria" jamboree was the handiwork of the "cabal". NUPENG is a small branch of the cabal. You really dont understand when "people say there is NO SUBSIDY"? Let me take it slowly and in simple parlance: 1.) If it cost say #30 to produce a litre of PMS locally and when we factor-in transportation and storage, everything lands at #50 at the pump. (Total Real Cost). If l then pay #50 for that litre of PMS, l am not enjoying any "subsidy" but lf l pay say #40, l am enjoying a #10 subsidy. Now, in Nigerians case currently, what we pay at the pumps is TRIPLE the "real cost" of the PMS, when produced locally. What happens is that some group of "powerful and influential Nigerians" (read: CABAL) got together and formulated a plan whereby our Refineries are destroyed out-rightly or made to produce below "half capacity" and because they have "members in the ruling government, at all times", they ensure the nation never builds New Refineries! The import of these is to create ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY, so as to pump-up price (Demand and Supply laws). To give us the illusion that we are been subsidized, *these Cabal members then set-up PRIVATE Refineries nearby, around the West African sub-region (Guinea, Angola, Ghana, Liberia, e.t.c), after looting our treasury *They then bunker (steal) our crude oil and refine it at their own "private Refineries". *These refined crude is now "labelled" IMPORTED PETROL and MUST be sold at "International price" (as against "Real total cost" at "local" production price). *The same members of these Cabal in government now earmark billions of naira as "SUBSIDY FUND" to be paid to these their "conniving friends" (since they have shares in all these off-shore refineries and help them to STEAL our crude (they dont pay "international price" nor even "local price" for the crude), being refined for us!) *To compound matters, some of these "subsidy thieves" actually siphon locally produced PMS (from our local refineries working at below capacity), load it unto their ships, set sail for the "seas" and do a U-Turn just off the coast and voila! That PMS starts enjoying "Bonus Subsidy", its now imported PMS! In summary, the "subsidy" is just a 419 scam between Government officials (Read: "Executive Politicians", NNPC staff) and a few Private Oil company owners (Read: Oando, MRS, and the rest of them) to steal the nation blind. Now, the government says it does not want to pay "Subsidy" anymore but the "man on the street" says l have never enjoyed any subsidy, ab initio. The government says "you must buy fuel at #200/litre, if l remove subsidy" but "the man on the street" says "That extra amount you pay-out as subsidy, was not paid to "reduce the price of PMS on my behalf, you only paid it to yourself and your friends". You are just looting us dry in a "very sophisticated scam" you set-up. Government says "if l remove subsidy and save the x-amount", l will use the money to build more Refineries. But the "man on the street" says since your "subsidy scam" is all premised on the fact that our own local refineries are rendered obsolete and new ones not built (when was the last Refinery built in Nigeria?), you're just trying to create another scam since you dont need to raise the price of PMS by 500%, to build a new Refinery! We sell crude oil at the international market, to other nations and we have been doing so at a production rate of 2.2 million barrels per day (averagely) for donkey years; take out of that proceeds and commence the building of at least three refineries. If you had done that, there wont be much left for you to loot, will there? Any company that wants to "sell PMS" should source for money and build its own Refinery (it does not have to be a very big one) and let it buy crude oil "locally in Nigeria", refine it "locally in Nigeria" and SELL SAME AT "LOCAL PRICE TO NIGERIANS". End of story. Alternatively, let the government build more refineries, if they are not part and parcel of these scam. You cant say you're a "Petroleum marketer" (like Otedola) and steal our crude, refine it at OBJ's Refinery off W/African coast and then bring it here to sell and still collect "subsidy" or even out-rightly just be collecting subsidy even when no PMS was imported! (that one is another story!). By "removing a non-existent SUBSIDY" (from the view point of the end-buyer), Jonathan is simply transferring the source/burden of payment (of that phantom subsidy) from Government coffers, to the end-buyer, the common man. THE SCAM IS STILL INTACT! .....but the "man on the street is being suffocated to death....this is where most commentators "miss the point". (or pretend to miss it anyway!) If Jonathan wants to do "the right thing" he should have commenced the building of Refineries (set a target of 3yrs for example) and when built and running, SIMPLY ENSURE THAT PETROL SELLS AT THE "REAL LOCAL COST" OF PRODUCTION. of course, that would be at about #40/litre maximum.......but he is a beneficiary of the "scam", so how can he do the obvious? As for NUPENG, they are just "shouting for their own slice of the scam"! Remember what Adams Oshiomole did during OBJ's regime? He was then, the NLC President (the father umbrerra of all Unions, including NUPENG!).Having collected his own share of the loot, (that reminds me of Reuben Abatti too!), he invested it wisely and today, his "investments" are yielding fruit, as a STATE GOVERNOR! So, you think the current NUPENG leaders are not as smart as Oshiomole? Siddon there dey look, train don pass you finish! Lastpage! |
Strike has been called-off naah, what else? |
I have seen too many of this "Chinese Shakara" to start clapping or shouting Halleluyaah! ![]() Let me see them finish the road within one year, let me watch the road undergo just one season of rainfall, if it is still standing, then l will give both Fashola and the Chinese lads A STANDING OVATION. Until then, my fingers are crossed and l am holding my breath. Lastpage! |
“We want to say, we are watchful and impressed with the performance of the Nigerian Police Contingent under UNMISS. They are well kitted, alert at all times and command respect. We expect a lot from nations like Nigeria who have passed through some of the difficulties we are facing now and have much experience like you.The bolded part sums it all. When on UN job, they are paid in Forex, they are well kitted,.....and if they mess-up, there are "structures" on ground to quickly apprehend and punish them ....and that makes them act like "human beings"! ![]() In Nigeria, its the exact opposite. Its called the "Self-fulfilling prophecy". Samething happens when "Nigerians and our Big Men" go abroad: You dont see them driving on the wrong side of the road, you dont see them blowing siren or trying to run everyone off the road, you dont see them jumping the queue in the bank or at the cash payment-till...................... But let them just step down from the 'plane at Muritala Muhammed and the "Nigerian in them" simply takes over! Faced with a choice between an armed robber and a Nigerian Police man, l would gladly choose the armed robber. Yes, he came to steal and he would steal and go away. That's his job The Nigerian Police man pretends to be your friend, he gets paid from your Tax, he then comes to rob you, and you still go to report to him, and he then requests that you pay him to investigate "himself" and then harasses you with the same gun your Tax money was used to buy! Honestly, they are the "vilest thing" God ever created! ![]() Its just that we dont have much choice since Nigerians are not allowed to carry a gun and defend themselves; we are forced to rely on our greatest enemy, in time of our distress. They are an "embodiment of all the evil" in the Nigerian society (rolled into one) Lastpage! |
So, it appears she is a "easy target" for a murder charge, rather than a faceless danfo driver? A lot of contradictions: 1.) She hit the LASTMA man while trying to evade arrest by driving away. 2.) She drove into her Estate and gate was locked 3.) She was eventually arrested there and taken to Panti Question: 1.) Was her vehicle actually used to convey the dead LASTMA official to the hospital? If true, then it conflicts with account #1 above. 2.) Did the LASTMA officials EVER tell the hospital that he was knocked down by a Danfo driver? If true, this "first instance" account is far more believable than any "spin" put forward afterwards 3.) Looking at the picture of her with the LASTMA official beside her car (negotiating? ), there is no evidence of any attempt to "run away" or anything evidence that the LASTMA official was standing "in-front" of her vehicle or in a position to be knocked down by her (but very plausible another vehicle passed by and knocked him down)4.)Eye witness account (independent ones) would be taken into account, to also know which story is corroborated 5.) LASTMA also needs to provide their own video/photo evidence of what happened. Fianly, while l commiserate with the family of the deceased, l want to state that in "criminal charges" like these, which carry "capital punishment", the "onus of proof" is on the state prosecutor, to prove that she was the one that actually killed the LASTMA official, ......and such "proof/evidence" cant be circumstantial: IT HAS TO BE "BEYOND ANY REASONABLE DOUBT". Wish l was her Lawyer, this one is a "no brainer"! The best they would 'slap' her for is "Traffic violation" (driving on the wrong side of the road) and that one will cost her about #30,000 (no thanks to the new traffic laws, ...and good so too!) LESSONS: a) Life no-get duplicate, allover-zealous govt official should take note and use their senses. I know they wont since that is where they get most of their money/bribe from. b.) Dont stand in front of a moving vehicle, for any reason (same as dont argue with a drunken or irate policeman brandishing a gun!). The dead stay dumb! Dont waste your life, just like that. c.) All these "l am in a hurry attitude" of Nigerians and even more, this "l am bigger than the law", especially by "JEEP OWNERS" can have unintended consequence. (not beefing them, l own one but l dont use it to harass innocent "officials or pedestrians or Saloon car owners" . A little "think twice" could have saved her all these hassles but l guess she felt "bigger than her SUV" at that moment she chose to drive against traffic.d.) Fashola must know that he is making life difficult for the people by not thinking "people first" in some of his harsh reforms. I drove on that LEKKI Express yesterday and the "alternative route" to their Toll gate, is a dirt road....and that is NOT an alternative. His action on the toll gate issue is extortionist. Period. Maybe those overzealous "KAI" should now begin to arrest peeps for using the "Dangerous Bridge"! Or arrest the government officials responsible for these "Dangerous Bridge"!! I tinx their job is to arrest people for doing dangerous things? ![]() Lastpage! |
emmatok: Marriage itself is stress.Actually, you can liken marriage to a new job, it can be enjoyable (if the conditions are right) and a nightmare too, depending on (read as: the kind of woman you marry!). mapet: My Bros,I like your position.......as you said you like to look at things from not just the obvious angle! Now lets look at it together: 1.) Some of those revoked plots and demolished houses (with C-of-O from the same government) , where alleged by El Rufai to be on land set-aside as GREEN BELT. For sake of "clarity", hat refers to land that are supposed to be open spaces, parks, e.t.c, for "public use" Those who bought (paid for) or built on such land are committing an offense, granted. 2.) The "big, moral question" hanging on El Rufai's neck now are: (a) Are those same "plots classified as GREEN BELT" no longer on Green Belt anymore, now that you have allocated them to your family members. Source the Geese, source the Gander! (b)As Minister, you have the power to make such decisions as 'classifying an area as green belt', did you abuse your power to re-classify those same plots so your family can benefit from them? (c)What makes your own family members so special that they can make use of the "green belt" while other private citizens cant? Does this not amount to gross abuse of office? (d) How then can Nigerians ever trust you not to abuse even more powers, if given higher and bigger office, like you are now scheming for? The Yorubas will say "If you are being labelled a thief, you dont dance around with 'a loot' in your hand".....which is what El Rufai is doing and trying to justify. His actions reeks of moral bankruptcy! Of course, in Nigeria, that seems a normal thing, after all, its only 8 plots he admitted to! Lastpage |
ballabriggs: Naijapundit PFFFFFFFFWhat "number" are you, on the "40 Laptop" list? Hehehehe, l laugh in Chinglish! ![]() Lastpage! |
wowo2: 8 of 27,000 to family....OKThank you O!' Nigerians are so corrupt-minded that, in most cases, it is not whether 'you stole' but a question of "How Much" you stole! Imagine some "silly-arse-holes" trying to justify this shameless act of El-Rufai! How can someone who wants to lead hundred and fifty million people, Take land from someone, demolish people's houses built with their "sweat",(based on that it was built "green belt", reserved areas, e.t.c) ..and then go ahead to allocate the same land to his "family members"? Does that mean when it comes to his own family members, "those same arguments or laws" dont apply? Are they above the law, just because they are El Rufai's family? Do you know how many people (families) whose life got ruined and some died, from this ignoble, selfish and cowardly act of El Rufai? How then is he different from Abacha, Tafa Balogun, Bode George (at least that one went to a "glorified prison" ), Patricia Eteh, OBJ, IBB, and all other "Award Winning, National thieves"?Mind you, it was this same El Rufai, as chairman of Burea for Public Enterprise (BPE), under-valued all our National Assets (Nitel, Ajaokuta, Hotels and many more) and then sold it to his cronies or those who could give him the highest kick-backs (like the Chinese). It is the same El Rufai that was using your Tax and mine, to pay his "Corper" Girl-friend in "Forex" while million of other Corpers are struggling to get their "meager Allawee" at the end of the month! His has criminality running in his veins but more baffling is that some scumbags can still even look his way, when talking about a President for this country"! Truly, people deserve the kind of Leaders they get! (shakes head in dis-belief) Lastpage! |
I think its high time EVERY ARMED MILITARY MAN THAT LEAVE HIS BASE (BARRACKS OR WHATEVER) TO MIX WITHIN CIVILIAN COMMUNITY, CARRY AN IDENTITY TAG, ON THEIR PERSON. This often repeated case of "UNKNOWN SOLDIER" has to STOP. It is a stewpid excuse for committing atrocities on civilians. Lastpage! |
ebamma: man i'm doubting this story,a naval officer will not beat you unless you insult himWhat would you do, if someone insult YOU? Beat them to pulp and cut off their ankle? Are you an animal, of the same mold as these ones in question? If the woman is also armed (say a Nigerian army officer) will you be so quick to attack her or is this just how cowardly military training has become? You mean being a Naval officer means you are beast, a low-level simpleton who does not know any other way to settle a dispute than to resort to some barbaric and disgraceful act of decapitation and amputation? I thought Military training was supposed to develop your finer sense, make you less prone to rash behavior and even make your personality more superior such that you dont even react to common provocations? That is what Martial Arts train you to become.....not to use your "ability" to become a public nuisance", which is what most of our military men and women have become. Why is it that its only "unarmed people" that they can confront? Is that not a display of extreme cowardice? Why not pick on someone of your own size or is a Pepper Soup seller now the equivalent of our own Nigerian Navy Personnel? ![]() if these cowards in "Military Uniform" are spoiling for a fight, why not confront the different armed robbery groups in Sapele and elsewhere? They are nothing but BULLIES, its only bullies that take on weaker opponents. When did it become the responsibility and duty of armed Military men to "beat-up" civilians when they feel insulted? Where is that written in any constitution? I hope these morons who join the military so that they can brutalize unarmed civilians, know that their days are numbered? The Trend worldwide is that "armed Military Personnel" are subject to constituted civilian authority......and Nigeria would not be an exception. Whoever has the details (name, picture, service i.d., e.t.c) of the woman and her beastly companions, should make it public. This is not just the woman's fight, it is a fight for civility within our society. We cant have "animals in military uniforms, with a gun on their hips", in the name of Nigerian Military. The Military echelon, especially that of the Navy, have been notorious for this sort of animalistic and barbaric behavior, this is an opportunity for them to show how "reformed" they (or some of them) are. They should speedily fish-out these "stains" on their sparkling white uniform. Nigerians should rise-up, stand-up and unite against this sort of brutality, even wild animals to deserve this sort of brutality, much less a human being. Lets put her picture on every conceivable media and let the whole world know and see these animals in military Uniform. Thats for starters. Lastpage. BTW: I am all for appreciating men in uniform,, those who swore to defend the country and its populace but you will agree with me that amputating a woman's ankle is not part of their oath and as such, these Naval Eediots dont deserve any admiration. |
Why is it that Nigerian men-in-uniform are so ill-disciplined?

Same reason why Nigerian men are ill-disciplined.
Did your boy-friend just dump you or what is responsible for this reckless and utter tripe you just posted?
Very interesting and insightful thread BUT this is only season 1 of the Makoko demolition story. Season 2 will throw up the actual reason for the Makoko demolition! First, some people should not comment on this thread. being "known party-apologist", their comments are too tainted to be accorded the respect it could have deserved. To such people, its always ACN vs. PDP.......and that is how they see every issue, irrespective of the truth. Having said that, there are tow sides to a coin: Government is elected to "serve" the people AND to "preserve law and order". These are the two yardsticks we should use, to judge every govt action. To "serve the people" means to protect their interest at ALL TIMES. To "preserve law and order" means you must also protect the same people you serve against themselves and a few deviants amongst them! "bringing down" a SLUM like Makoko surely falls within the purview of protecting the people (Their health, Safety, shanty accommodation). Where Fashola may not have fared properly is "serving and protecting the interest of the people". You see, "the LAW" must always have a human face otherwise, "dictatorship and brutality" sets in. Fro example, Idiagbon "served Nigerians" very well. We still wish somebody like our current President will have a hundreth of his gut! But when he and Buhari "back-dated" death penalty laws (so he can kill some drug pushers), his regime lost human face! This is the context l want us to judge Fashola and every other Nigerian leader because there are ways you can still achieve your responsibility while still remaining "human and protective" of the people you swore to serve. No need to "play and talk" Politics with this sort of thing. Lessons should be learned and put to use. Period. Treat "people" like humans, not trash, even if they are offenders. Remember that they have life and blood, just like you. The only difference is you are in power! With our resources, nothing stops every government Minister and Governor from delivering 20,000 Units of 2-bed housing for the poor, every blessed year, and renting it out at #60,000/annum! Even Ghadafi (a tyrant!) delivered such houses in Libya! We can afford it, if we stop wasting money in form of "looting, Birthday contribution, Aso Rock food allocation and subsidy scandal", out of so many other "sink-holes". As for the "Army bloke", l have no sympathy for him at all. If it was an "ordinary LASTMA" that stopped him, do you think he would be "pleading".....or bundling the LASTMA official into his car-boot? ![]() You think that would be his first time or if he provided "reasonable excuse" to Fashola, he would not allow him proceed? Why make "excuses" for him if he has none other than violating laws with impunity? |
Some years back, it was my job (a man's job!) to fuel the generator and ensure its always at peak performance. Then one day, l took-ill very seriously. It was one of those period when NEPA was "very kind' to my area and for like 5days, the did not bring light and my wife had no clue about what to do with the Generator! We stayed in darkness (and heat!) for like 3days non-stop. When l got well, the first thing she "vowed" was that l must teach her "everything" that otherwise were my "manly" responsibility! It also became an opportunity for me to as well, delve into the "women's world"! So, dont be surprised if you see my wife "changing tires or fueling generator" while l am "cooking Egusi soup in the kitchen or buying cow-leg! ![]() Its not about money or stinginess, its just about "being capable and self-sustaining". 2buff: But being the guy I am, I consulted God first and made my intentions known. The word that came back was "No not her. Just wait, your wife is coming. She will come from a place you do not expect...". This was confirmed from another trusted unbiased sources. Twice now this has happened.Unfortunately, l came upon this topic a little late. All the same, l find it very funny that the Poster "thinks the girl is making SENSE"! So, who is NOT making SENSE? God? The same God that you said spoke to you? Really, did your Bible not tell you that "God is NOT an author of CONFUSION"?.....and right now, YOU ARE CONFUSED! ![]() Does this not tell you something about your dilemma? Let me tell you this once and for-all: IF IT DOES NOT ADD-UP, ITS NOT OF GOD. Period, end of story! esere826: Also, generally I usually don't ask God questions b4 I start anything. I feel that if its not his will, he'll pull me back at some point. I noticed that this works better with meMaan, l admire you a lot! Your words up there is what l call "ABSOLUTE FAITH IN GOD"! If you are a child of God, if you actually trust him and believe in him...totally absolutely, then you have NOTHING TO FEAR! Just imagine, thousands die in their sleep everyday, yet you make plans about what you will do "tomorrow" and even in a month's time! Is it not because you have that belief (faith) that you will be alive by then? I dont even want to delve into the foolishness of this "God told me syndrome". Who are these your "trusted sources" that are more trustworthy than your own "personal faith in God"? Those your Pastors, abi? ![]() But take it from me, if it was actually God that told you something, You'd better hasten and listen God can NEVER be wrong, he does not do "guess work or trial by error". HIS words are "as DONE". So, how come "a girl" is making sense,...where God has spoken? You see your foolishness? (not in an offensive way) But with what you wrote up there (Poster), l think the only prayer you need is "God, l am setting into these affair, if it is not your will, break it up"......and dont try to hold on fast, when HE tries (and he will!) break it up, if it is not HIS will. So Simple! If you have faith, let your feelings be known to the lady and let God do the rest (Your worries and burdens are on his shoulder naah?) Okay,l am even begining to sound like a "Preacher-man" Lastpage! BTW: if l begin to count the number of "broken marriages" that were consummated on the basis of "God said na you biiko", including those of certain "Pastors" who for the sake of the embarrassment it would bring to their Ministry (like Okotie), hve to just keep suffering in silence, l will not finish today! ![]() |
I really thank and appreciate all who have contributed on this thread, its so informative! Want to share my two recent experiences and can someone help me out? I was coming from the Eleganza end of the lekki Express yesterday and on getting to the second Toll gate (closest to Mobil Oil producing). We were queued up to pay the Toll when a convoy with the inscription "STATE OF OSUN" on most of the vehicles, came racing along and some Mopols jumped out of two of the Vans. It was around 2:30pm. The vehicles refused to pay the Toll fees and one of the overzealous Mopols actually used his hand to raise and hold up, the Toll barrier (dont laugh, l have never seen that done! ). Eight vehicles in all, passed without paying Toll!Question: are these vehicles exempt from paying Toll just because they are govt vehicles or is it just because "dem carry guns"? 2.) further down on the mainland, l was stopped by some VIO boys and they started their gamut of checks. a) Extinguisher b) vehicle particulars (insurance, Road worthiness, MOT, vehicle Registration cert, e.t.c) When everything was found intact, one of them asked me to come down that his "oga" wants to speak with me! I told him to tell his Oga to come speak to me through my window, but l will not get down to speak with him (l find it discourteous that l should get down to speak to him, for what?) When l would not budge, the Oga came and asked for my Driver's license! I gave it to him Next thing is he told me that my License was FAKE! I told him l got it from FRSC office at Ojodu-Berger. I asked him to tell me exactly what made it fake and how l can detect a fake Driver's license? He said l should take it to VIO office at Ikeja and they would tell me its fake. I repeated my question above and he kept saying l should go to VIO office at Ikeja. Question: If an ordinary citizen does not know how to identify a "fake Driver's license" and he went to a Govt Agency sanctioned by law to procure one (l am a qualified driver and have a full European license for over ten years now), should l be punished for such? Is it not the responsibility of govt to enlighten the public on where to get a license and what to look for in it? Why is it that FRSC says VIO-issued license is fake and VIO says that FRSC-issued license is fake? Why the back and forth? Which or where is the right place to get a genuine Drivers License in this Lagos? Are we having too many duplication of laws and law enforcers, in lagos? Cheers, Lastpage! BTW: As regards the curfew on articulated trucks, l think the govt needs to look into the "workability" of its laws and not just make laws for the sake of making laws. from tenancy laws, to physical development laws like building on water-ways (go to the Ozumba Mbadiwe road and see who is sand-filling the water ways! , it is annoying to just have tons of laws that are never enforced or are unenforceable. |
I dont blame Dangote for TWO REASONS: 1.) The man himself is just a "rich illiterate"! he does not know nor appreciate the value of education. Like it is said, "Any fool can have money". I dont mind people being rich (like Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey) when they use their brain and do it legitimately but we all know that in Nigeria, being rich is akin to being the Devil himself. Ask him (Dangote) why each time any of his "blood sucking Trucks" swerves into and kills some people, the drivers simply disappear, according to instructions? Rumor has it that he uses the victims blood/soul for you know what! Again, if we live in a sane society where laws are upheld, the likes of Dangote would rot in prison for charges ranging from price fixing, breach of competition rules, murder/manslaughter, public endangerment, e.t.c. Is this not the same man that continually makes people homeless by "fixing the price" of Cement? but hey, this is Nigeria now, anything goes, right? 2.) Well, if not that we have "cursed leaders" in government and policy positions, how can some Eediots not be thanking Dangote for providing jobs for millions of UN-employed Youths? One of the primary responsibilities of a national Government and a President indeed, is to provide employment opportunities for its citizens. This is one issue that will make or mar the Obama administration, for example. This does not stop or hinder self-employment and they are not mutually exclusive. But when Government is so misguided like we have, and the citizens so confused and brain-washed like we are, we live in a state of stupor, wondering endlessly through day-to-day and thanking God that at least we have seen the next day-light! I guess next, we will thank Dangote for putting up and advert requiring PhD holders to come and apply to be his Mai-Gaurd, afterall, HE IS PROVIDING JOBS FOR MILLIONS OF UN-EMPLOYED YOUTHS! ![]() Dont blame Dangote that much, bl;ame the system that made people like him feed fat on our national wealth, just for his own pockets! Any "rich thief" can turn the masses into slaves and still be seen a s being benevolent...yes now! BTW: if all you wanted and dreamt of becoming is a Truck driver and you went to a UNIVERSITY for all these years, then you need to have your head properly examined! Because you dont have a job NOW doesnot mean you should dehumanize yourself and reduce your "self-worth" to NOTHING? Go and look at Truck drivers in Europe and America, they are at best, Primary Six level of education but they are damn good at driving their Trucks! You dont need to be a Graduate to Drive a truck, ...when will Nigerians grow out of this slave mentality? Who would do the Graduate jobs like "Research", if all Graduates now do is drive Trucks? Jeezuz Christ!! |
Whatever l will do (and God help me o!), l would ensure that the boy-man does not suffer or made to pay for a sin he knows nothing about (why do we keep assuming the child is male sef?). I must have loved him like my own and he, vice-versa.......nothing spoil, we keep our love and as an adult, he can decide what he wants but my doors will always remain open to him. As for I will just play this music on my Turn-table: You abandon me, Love dont leave here anymore... Make she just waka as the trust is broken and from that moment onwards, its no more a marriage but a union of strange bed-fellows! Its better we go our different ways in PEACE lest Devil tempt one of us! No be me, emi ko'lori, Walahi, no be me you see! ![]() Lastpage! |
My Doctor once told me: SEXercise yourself to good health....when l was complaining of being too heavy! I laughed out loudly (as in lol!) and he looked at me curiously. He asked if l thought he was joking? I nodded that he must be NUTS (did not say it out this time). He then gave me a "reading material" about the benefits of sex.....as the best form of exercise. Since then, l have never looked back and you'll be surprised that most people slash about twenty years-off my real age, each time l ask them to 'take a guess' during a discussion on such issue! I wish l could post some of the contents here for others to at least "evaluate" themselves and then decide if its rubbish or not. I think the man's problem (the one that died) was that he "over-exerted himself, excessively and suddenly"! If l were him (now, l have been practicing this for some years and can "rock" for hours non-stop without even changing my breathing rhythm), l will start with the weakest amongst them (by cajoling them that she should be respected for her age! )and will so hammer her that she will be pleading for help.......That will put the fear of God into the rest.By the time l say NEXT.....l am sure they will be slipping behind each other to be number second! I hope MEN realize that SEX has a lot to do with their HEART and you just dont "over-exercise" your heart, suddenly and seriously. That would be soo (lead to) SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome) Start slowly like an Olympian athlete....and as you "train more", it will just become a part of you...something that comes naturally! Unfortunately for me, l have only ONE WIFE! ...and its not easy on the poor woman...even though l give her big credit Am out. Lastpage! |
Ptimes: Contacted, Force spokesperson, Frank Mba, said he was not aware of the matter but would check with the task force and revert to our reporter Wednesday.Hhehehe That man IS NEVER AWARE of anything concerning the Police.....Yet, he is the Force SPOKESMAN! ![]() May be he would do better as Force QUIETMAN Very easy to spot "unintelligent peeps".... in Uniform. ![]() Lastpage! BTW: Except they have irrefutable proof that the Reporter actually hacked into their Computer systems, all these huffing and puffing will end in a "discharge" at the courts. You can convict someone based on mere suspicion or that you could not "nail" them! ![]() |
tigerleggs: XXY males could have both male and female features and hormones. Scientifically, they are both male and female at the same time cos it takes 2 se.x chromosomes to form either a male or female. XX and XY for female and male respectively. Greater percentage of XXY male are gay. Will you recycle that thing in your head that you call "a brain"? Where did you learn your own Science or is it just because you want to "justify your perversion", you must come here and turn Science on its head! Anuofia! In a Spe.r.m and and Egg, its ony TWO TYPES of Chromosones: XX ===> FEMALES XY ===> MALES. Each parent contributes ONLY ONE of their chromatic materials, to form another PAIR, in their offsprings/Child. You gays are now manufacturing your own science, abi? ![]() Why pretend and shift responsibility elsewhere? You better seek "HELP" in quitting your perversion, instead of trying to "funkynize" it. Its not cool in anyway. Crazy Eediots that needs to be flogged properly and told to "go and sin no-more" ![]() Lastpage! |
honeric01: Every body wan work for bank..It seems you dont even know what "UNIVERSITY EDUCATION" is all about? Now, Let me break it down for you.......as in course 101: University Education widens your knowledge, widens your thinking, widens your horizon and thus, using training from a diverse pool of courses (as much as possible) so that when you go out into the "Employee or Employer World", you are AS PREPARED AS POSSIBLE to either "hit the ground running" or to catch-up with a few weeks Training "Upgrade". So, that an Engineer works as a cashier or becomes a CEO, is no big-deal!...Or dont we have Engineers and Doctors that became Chartered Accountants? Ajavascript:void(0);gain, what is all this rubbish about "everybody wan work for bank"? If the banking sector, like the Oil or Telecoms sector, is well-paying, why should people who are confident in their abilities not desire to work in those Sectors? Have you ever worked in those sectors before? Go and ask those who work there, ask how many "Qualifying Test and Interviews" they have to scale, to get a job in that sector.. And it is so all over the world. If those at Management level of a bank use customers money to gamble and pay for their lavish lifestyles (Buying jeeps for themselves every year, taking loans they have no intention of repaying and awarding lavish "estacodes" to themselves).....is that the fault of those being sacked now? What is the contribution of a "Supervisor or Banking Officer" grade-staff for example, to the financial and policy decision making of a Bank? Naaada!! But when the chicken come hoem to roost and the bank runs into problems, they are the one to be sacked,....by the same Management level staff that mis-managed the bank! It is the fault of a "bad system" that glorifies thievery, human abuse and cronyism! Anyway, the lower cadre staff are the "Pawns" in this game of financial chess, the 'Kings and Queens that eat the fat' are always delighted when they see the Pawns blaming and tearing themselves to pieces, over what they know nothing about! ![]() Lastpage! |
^^^^^ Another dunce trying to act smart. All your post is misguided and full of errors in perception and basically full of lies. What would you say about this noted below? If you are not a stunt liars The Promise to St. Catherine http://www.ijtihad.org/Prophet%20Muhammed%27s%20Promise.htm)"This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them. Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims' houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate. No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world)." Koran quote: God says:“Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth has been made clear from error. Whoever rejects false worship and believes in God has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that never breaks. And God hears and knows all things.” (Quran 2:256) God says:“If it had been your Lord’s will, all of the people on Earth would have believed. Would you then compel the people so to have them believe?” (Quran 10:99) God says:“So if they dispute with you, say ‘I have submitted my whole self to God, and so have those who follow me.’ And say to the People of the Scripture and to the unlearned: ‘Do you also submit yourselves?’ If they do, then they are on right guidance. But if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message. And in God’s sight are all of His servants.” (Quran 3:20) God says:“The Messenger’s duty is but to proclaim the Message.” (Quran 5:99) Before you post rubbish can you please attach quotes and possible saying of the prophet to suggest your silly excuse of a reason.
...and be honest to yourself, at least: do you think all those "nice words" have any impact on the MUSLIMS bombing other people (especially Christians) in the North?Do your Imams read these verses to your foot soldiers, during JUMAT Services? When you laden yourself with BOMBS and blow-up Christian Worship centers, are you heeding that "nice part" of the Quaran or the part that says "Kill them anywhere you find them till they proclaim Allahu-akrubah"? Who is fooling Who? Or do l need to start listing all those "Satanic Verses" in the Quaran where your Prophet asked you to kill those who chose not to worship him and his religion? Who is the hypocrite and Two-faced Terrorist? Please if you want to play "Ostrich", just dig a hole and stick your head inside. We understand! ![]() Lastpage |
