This one na "base" salary now. We all know the obvious |
Guys, if only you could take a trip to Nigeria. My brother just got back from Naij like 3 days ago and he went to Abeokuta to do his to avoid the lagos congestion. He got his within a day w/out no interviews, police report or all that mess. Ofcourse he paid 30K naira but that was for the whole package including "settlement." He was able to make a good contact with an immigration officer there and he showed me his passport. The new electronic passport which I might add is quite impressive. If you try getting it here in the States they will just give you all sorts of run around. Cool |
Ok oooo. Una dey ask for Nuclear Bomb again ooo. Me I go just check out now before the blast |
Kai, you dey marry hollywood celebrity?? |
Brothers/Sisters, please read Matthew 5:32, Jesus himself talks about the only reason where divorce is exusable. Pride and a poor relationship with God on both ends leads to divorce. If the husband loves God sincerely, and so does the wife sincerely, they would definitely love each other like Christ loves the church (body of Christ). Don't mean to get all spiritual/religous but I can promise you that a relationship founded on the love of God will never see the face of divorce. Sometimes, a divorce doesn't always mean that the marriage wasn't meant to be. My friend attends a church where the pastor and his wife a looong time ago actually got divorced and for two years, its like God punished them as they went out trying to find other mates. Every relationship they ended up in was failure upon failure. Cut a long story short, after two years, they got back together and have been married happily since then (1985). They are a force to be reckoned with, formed a ministry and help married couples avoid divorce. Here is their story below: http://www.igochurch.com/pastor.html Those of you who are married, please understand that the devil has been trying to attack the covenant of marriage now as marriage has no value in society and people are becoming jaded. You all need to love each other, raise each other, protect each other, pray together and stand strong like a fortress fighting off anything and anyone who tries to pull you apart. Cool |
Please read Matthew 5:32 Jesus talks about this and is VERY specific. I pray and wish your aunty peace. |
It is long but I read the whole thing. Very interesting and I read somewhere how many of these oyinbos who ended up broke in dubai are basically fleeing the country leaving their cars behind at the airports so they dont end up in jail for not being able to pay off their debts. |
I'm happy that Judge Hatchet made this discovery. To be honest, I feel as though african americans are like the adopted sons and daughters who, for a long time have had this longing to know their true parents, just to put their souls to rest. I met Teddy Riley a few years back and the moment I mentioned I was nigerian his eyes lit up and he jumped back looking at me in awe. He said he had been trying to come to nigeria for a while. Funny enough, I also spoke to Ronny Devoe (y'all remember him from BBD, new edition) and he said the same thing. He had been trying to come to nigeria for a while. So it is commendable when lost sons and daughters of africa embark on searching for their "true" parents. |
How about Yemo |

@Tpia Thank you. I just want us to move away from this "now-minded" culture which has been killing us for so long. God brought us to the US and wherever else we are to learn, take notes, develop ourselves and plant our seeds back home. Nigeria is an emerging market and we need to be smart like the Chinese. We need to be visionaries and take advantage of our options, while developing our God-given country. Take for instance my sister who just up and left a few years back, and said to hell with the States and even didnt give a damn about her credit. She moved back to Nigeria and now she has to come once in 6 months to maintain her greencard status. I had to sit her down and listen to her tell me about all the business opportunities in Nigeria specifically in the areas of fashion apparel and all. Well, if she wasnt so "now-minded" she could've maintained good credit before leaving, but more importantly made sure she became a citizen first. Had she done this, she wouldnt have to spend her money travelling back and forth to maintain her green card, and she could have access to loans with good credit to buy whatever merchandise she feels would sell like hotcake in Nigeria. |
To all of una "Andrews" = Brothers/Sisters in diaspora (including myself ), Let's learn from the generation before us.Remember when our parents all studied abroad and decided to move back home during the oil boom of the 70's? Well back then the naira had power and to them they were wasting away in another man's land. So what did they do? They up and left, thinking that Nigeria was only going to continue an upward trend in development. Look at Nigeria today and see how those who gave birth to their kids abroad before moving back were able to send their kids to school abroad w/out having to deal with the obstacles of visas or out of state tuition rates. What I'm trying to get at here is that we the younger generation need to learn from the mistakes of our parents. If you plan on moving home, don't just up and leave. Those with green cards try and make sure you get that blue passport first. Try and hold onto your investments here in the US if you plan on moving back, don't plant all yr seeds in one basket, diversify. Imagine if our parents had held onto their properties back in the 70's when they were abroad. Think of what those properties would be worth today? I'm not against moving back home. There is no place like home even with all its challenges. But I just ask that we bear in mind the mistakes our parents made and do it with wisdom. Thats the golden opportunity we have as Africans that many people dont have over here. We have Nigeria and we have the US. Two options. I say take advantage of both rather than just up and leave the States. My two cents. |
