USA does not charge biometric fees.... you present your passport, they ask you a few questions and if everything lines up, they stamp you in and you are on your way. |

Thank God we are out of the World Cup, now we can focus on more pressing trends at home. Imagine about #120 innocent citizens were butchered in cold blood and it merely grazed the headlines, with even some celebrities saying, if Nigeria win their match against Argentina, they should use that opportunity to protest....Seriously? From the laws of Physics, if there is not an equal and strong opposing action in terms of addressing this thing; these killing and reversed killings will continue endlessly....myself or yourself or our relatives or loved ones might not be affected today, what about tomorrow? It does not matter if you voted or didn’t vote for PMB...the facts is, he is the President and has the Executive power to nip this in the bud...everyone must be on board to urge him to do something...declare an emergency in these states and flood them with heavy federal military presence, find a viable and lasting solution to this problem....and this cannot wait till 2019 Election, it has to be done now and we must passionately demand that the government do it! |
olatade:Prayer without work is nothing.... Maybe, we have prayed for too long; it’s time to match our prayers with works. |
BabaIbo:Government nova put 24hrs security and watch over people wey wan live na people wey wan die dem wan put am for? You well so? Abi no bi 9ja you dey? |
JupiterGeekVII:Who hope help in the land of the death...no one need it over there. |
HARDDON:You are the one that is wrong calling it a church. It is a business center, that is not a church...for the OP, there is nothing wrong in acting, we see that everyday on Nollywood movies and don’t be discouraged by thinking this place is a church, it is a business center and you have been given a business proposal, if you don’t do it, someone else will step in and cash that money. If not that it is illegal, I would have said do it, but increase your price and chalk it up to good riddance to bad rubbish. |
darkmarky:God created men to love and serve Him jealousy and be guided by Him;He then created women to see if men would rather love and serve the woman...and be guided by the woman. Throughout Bible history all the powerful, wisest and strongest men God created, who later fell were axed down by a woman. |
If this is an advanced country or country where the rule of law prevails, someone would be in jail now. Someone was definitely careless to the extend of endangering the life of the little angel. |
It’s possible, but it’s a very tall task and more likely than not, that you might not make a first class. For starters, I believe FUT Mx, takes the better grades for identical courses when computing final grades....I could be wrong, but you can ask around. That is, e.g. if you get an F in day GST100 and retake the course, then get an A; when computing final graduating CGPA, they will use the grade for A...Also since you are in pre-SEET, many of the 100 level courses will not be considered when computing your graduating CGPA, but you must pass them and many are prerequisites to either other courses or when considering accepting you into SEET in 300levels. While I say, it might not be possible is GPA of 0.2, clearly shows that you are overwhelmed and can’t cope...Even a 2.1 is near impossible in a situation like this.... that GPA meant you flunk 9 courses with an F and got a D on the 10th course....Even if you didn’t study for the exams at all, that performance is near impossible to top. |
dgitrader:That is true, the major issue is getting accurate information for each individual for the company’s actuaries to do an accurate credit worthiness analysis. Even after that, given the nature of Nigeria; insuring these risks in Nigeria will be very high for the businesses and they may push some of the cost to consumers, making the eventual cost too high from the average Nigerian. This is next issue. The other issue is near lack of accountability and lack of consequence in Nigeria. e.g. if someone buy a phone on credit and refused to honor his end of the deal two months down the road and the person is not on the run...what will you do? Arrest him? He or she gives the police 10k, they will let him go...or if you succeed in taking him to court, the case will be tied down for years there; which is an additional open recurring cost for the business and they may not to do this. Though, it will create new sets of job opportunities for Nigerians, in terms of private companies opening up businesses to Hunter down defaulters for a fees. |
linearity: OP, I will marry you! Send me plane moni, I don get US visa. UyaiIncomparabl:It takes one to know another. ![]() |
OP, I will marry you! Send me plane moni, I don get US visa. |
mabeni:Not true. You owe her zero obligations and no one will hold you responsible if you kick her out of your car. You had a simple contract with her, you fulfilled yours by taking her to her destination, but she failed to meet her end of the deal....kicking her out right there and not insist on payment would have doing her a favor. There is no legal obligation to take her elsewhere or rent a hotel for her to pass the night. Though on a moral ground, I can see why you did, what you did, but you are not obligated. |
fecta:I doubt though, because there was no agreement between both parties, what the ‘cost’ will be. For a prostitution charge to stick, it is not necessary that the actual to take place, but two things must be established viz: 1. An offer must be made, and it must be accepted by the other party. 2. The offer must be in exchange for a sexual act. In the audio, the Professor made an offer, but the lady turned it down. |
fecta:I don’t think he was actually harassing her sexually, I don’t see how that charge will stick in court. The crime might be that of prostitution, i.e. offering to pay for sex, using mark upgrade as the currency. Since the exchange did not go through, it is hardly prostitution, unless they can find someone with whom he has done it in the past...even at that, I doubt if anyone will be coming forward, since it might lead to their grade and diploma been affected negatively. |
These two don’t sound correct.... "He use not to live in Lagos". "Used he to live in Lagos". They don’t even make sense. He use not to live in Lagos is okay, but I will rather say...He never lived in Lagos or He was not living in Lagos. But...”Used he to live in Lagos” is obviously wrong. |
comshots:....and wives don’t jilt their husbands? The gf obviously don’t love him, a wife in the same situation who don’t love you, but marry you because of your cash...will “jilt you at any fc.uking time”. |
Still trying to see where and how the witch led him to play for Super Eagles... Don’t even see the connection. |
Where you confused when you were drilling her I the first date? |
phreakabit:Dude, I don’t have any dog in this fight. I believe the pilot states volunteered, so no state is been forced into this and the constitution suppprts each state’s right to their land free from federal government infringement. The truth is, you can’t ban cattle rearing in Nigeria, so some type ranching, registration, licensing, control and supervision under the federal and/or State government have to be the more sensible solution. Ranching is an idle solution, where they will lease the land from the federal government and cattle breeding will be zoned and restricted to those ranches and violators dearth with according to subsisting laws. |
faithfull18:One mistake you are making, and that most people make is the assumption that the cattle’s belong to the herdsmen. These cattles belong to dip pocket politicians and businessmen, who makes polices for Nigeria. The herdsmen are just low level workers or main guards. If you look very well, every business the dip pocket politicians do are subsidized by government from oil to forex and now to cattle rearing. |
She is dumb and stupid at the same time. You don’t post stuff like these on social media, plus she just admitted to committing a crime online. Police in the US routinely search social media and they will find her post, i.e. if someone on her timeline has not already tagged the Police on her post. Now, they will come after her for the speeding ticket that, she has confessed to online. Plus they might even extend and attached the accident that occurred to the Cop to her as a possible contributor, if they can do that; then leaving the scene of an accident that you contributed to will be another charge. Many of these charges may not stick in court, but the DA usually do this for the WAO factor and by the time they finish with her, if she didn’t go to jail, she would have spent enough cash, goodwill and reputation and she will likely lost her license and job...all for been dumb and stupid on social media. |
I think, this should be an interesting case, if the driver sues Uber....I think, he might win or Uber will have no choice than to settle out of court. He was acting based on Uber’s own rules. And the Homophobic label Uber used to kick him out is subjective, I doubt if they can tender credible evidence in court to substance that subjective assessment. Yes, employment with Uber is at will, but his suit can be based on entrapment and discrimination; any lawyer worth his training will make that stick in court. |
maisauki:He was not detained, he was not in court...an order was issued for his arrest and served on the Police...it remains for the Police to do their job. My guess is, if he offer the right amount of cash, the Police will just tell the court that, they are still ‘searching’ for him and will bring him immediately he is sighted. |
LaudableXX:Not only America that do it. Each country likes to stretch the limits of the Geneva Convention about the immunity granted to diplomats. In 2011 Pakistan arrested and detained an American diplomat, who shot and killed two Pakistanis and when US refused to waive their diplomatic immunity, Pakistan forged ahead and charged the diplomat to court, but he was later acquitted of the crime and released after US settled the families. Recently another America diplomat, a military attachee hit and killed a Pakistani, he ran and took cover in the US embassy, despite the fact that the Pakistani government have reached a conclusion that, he cannot be charged due to his diplomatic immunity, they have non the less, put his name in their no-fly list at all airports and airlines in bid to prevent him from leaving the country, meaning they want to detain him in the country. Had he not be wise and ran straight to the US embassy right away, my guess is, had the Pakistani authorities got hold of him first, he will be kooling his feet’s in jail while Pakistan & US tussle...my belt is, US will smuggle him from the embassy out of the country through Afghanistan. |
Ugosample:You can be arrested temporarily by the directive of the State department in the US if you commit a crime of magnitude, while they negotiate with your home country to waive your immunity. Arresting and detaining someone is not the same as prosecuting them...A diplomatic passport only gives you immunity against prosecution and not against arrest. If your home country refuses, they can kick you out of the country and ban you from entering again, even when you still hold your diplomatic passport. The host countries still have to maintain the integrity of their laws and an orderly society and not have someone flagrantly disobey the law without recourse, even if they are holding a diplomatic passport. |
Having a diplomatic passport does not guarantee entry or stay in a foreign country. It simply means, you have been cleared to travel and have certain immunity against prosecution by the host country. The host country can deport you or can ban you from entry their country....and off course your home country can revoke your diplomatic passport. So, even if Atiku have a diplomatic passport, the US can still ban him from entering their country. |
Okoroawusa:How will he be able to make that? He has stated himself that, he has been denied visa multiple times, without a visa, he will not be able to make that trip. |
johnwizey:Not in Russia. |
Irunnobo:You need to stop dating drug addicts. |

But the arrest of a diplomat by American authorities is even wrong. The best they can do, is declare such a diplomat persona non grata, and give him a few hours to leave their country. He will be politely escorted into the next available plane, and sent back without any excuses, except if his home country has waived his diplomatic immunity, cancelled his diplomatic passport or revoked his diplomatic status.
