I have three boys... Initially, I was having this same issue as the op but I encouraged the boy to stand up for himself because he's the senior and I started putting the oldest boy in charge of stuff like he shares snacks for others, etc. The second boy Will always complain but he's starting to get use to having a senior.

No/b
This is a good post....You have to help in establishing order and enforce it.

On a particular day, call them and tell them that the Senior one is in charge of deciding who plays with which toy...Ask him him to give his younger one the toy that he decided he should play with...if he refused or make a fuse, ground him and he looses all privileges.

If you continue this circle, he will eventually learn to follow the rules.

I hope she won't accuse her teacher of 'sex-for-grade' when she fails?
Because this woman is incapable of passing even a single subject.

But this is disgraceful.
If my grandmother belittled herself like this I will first slap her before disowning her.
What does she even need the education for?
This is one of the few times, these your contrarian views and comments makes sense.

The other question I have is, now she know how to write her name; so what next, so calculus?

The only advantage I see, is she now have an additional avenue to spend her old age and the attempt to stimulate areas of her brain that had remained redundant for years.

Very, very, speculative.
Your observation is very true...The truth is, he is the only one that know why he had to kill the little girl and I doubt if he is going to confess.

What we know is that, he killed the mother, then poisoned the little girl and then turn on the gas cooker and in his statement to the Police, he claimed that, the gas must have killed both them.

So, from the above, it is safe to speculate that...killing the little girl was part of his cover up plans....the truth is save for a confession, everyone else including the Police, even with the benefit of proximity to the crime scene and access to it, have to speculate as to what his motives were.

His country will negotiate and they'll release him to serve his time in a Danish jail.
This will be a tough one...Denmark does not have capital punishment and his crimes will fetch him a death sentence in Nigeria by hanging.

Had to see the treaty signed between Nigeria and Denmark on repatriation, if any.... and even at that, his sentence have to be commuted to life.

Damn. Going by the prosecuting counsel's statement, dude knew what he was doing and really wanted them dead. Why he killed his daughter too is what I don't understand. Perhaps a psychopath

Again, the report says he had always been habitually violent towards her yet she never left him probably because she one of those fish brained ladies who stay in abusive relationships because they'd rather cry in Banana Island than be single (and possible broke) but happy and in peace in Lagos Island.

God rest their souls.
He must have killed the little girl in a failed attempt to give credence to his 'cooking gas killed' them story. He must have read stories of CO from generator killing people and in those stories, no one survives...so in his evil mind, he must have felt that if the little girl is not killed, his cover up story will not sell.

Just like most criminals, he did not think this through very well....Propane gas from cooking stove is not CO and does not kill like CO. It has an offensive smell and it can easily be smelt and people will take cover unlike the odorless CO gas and the reason we have to be careful about not letting our cooking gas to leak is not because, it is a potent killer like CO, it is just because of the dangers of fire.

I understand, but we had a private matured meeting, when we both came out of camp. I actually regret it though, because she lied to me that she had no man at that moment.
Oga which one be private matured meeting, the way you are emphasizing this, it appear to be 'code' for some type of sexual intimacy, though penetration may not have been involved, since you indicated that you have not visited Jerusalem yet.

The way I am looking at, she just needed to be screwed, she is far away from her screw driver and just needed a spare one, while in a foreign State. It will not go beyond the Corper thing...after one year, she will forget you ever existed.

Something tells me that, you don't need advice, the fact that you came here looking for one, tells me that you will screw her, what is in question now is.....when. The type of guys that will take a stand not to screw or date a lady be it married or unmarried don't come to blogs to seek for advice or validation.

New York Times is not own by the US government or even the New York State.

It is obviously not Trump and they are just as critical of Trump. This morning they took a swipe at Trump in their editorial as a fall out of the FBI raid on Monday of the office of Trump’s personal lawyer.

Don’t be as clueless as El Rufai, you are young and not yet entangled with greed or someone to behold to, do your judgements are not as clouded..The New York Times piece is not as critical as what they do against Trump...the difference here is, Nigeria do not have real journalism that doesn’t kiss the Azz of the government of the day...the ones that dare come close, are intimidated or taken down by the government.

Now, Trump is proving them wrong.

I like Trump for something: he's unpredictable

But if he fires Mueller, he's in trouble though grin

These cold war idiots should let us have some peace in our world.

The world is not ready for a third world war
You are clearly clueless.

Trump is a great supporter and friend of Putin, you don’t need CNN or Media to know that, read his tweets or even watch his favorite TV, Fox ‘News’.

What you failed to understand is that, US Presidents don’t have much wiggle room when it come to foreign policies. Foreign Policies are detected by forces behind the scene and the US President is just there to rubber stamp those policies and it does not matter if the President is a Democrat or a Republican.

Trump from day one does not want to confront Putin, a bi-partisan congress passed tougher sanctions against Russian and Trump refused to enforce them until he was given no choice...he had to be forced to enforce them while still praising Putin, same with the response on the gas attack in UK...This one is the same.

There are hawkish defense powerhouse behind the scene and they pushes for things like these....America spend more than the next eight highest countries combined in defense each year and they produce nice military gadgets & toys that do amazing things....they need war to test these stuff beyond the demo test they have been doing, so that space can be created for new military gadgets with the ever incoming and increasing defense budget...also data collected from real war test are feed into new design prototypes to get improvements, upgrades, etc.

Trump used the word ‘smart’ in referring to the missiles, that is a leak and tells you that, there are some smart missiles technologies that the US has been seeking opportunity to use for a long time now and Assad just might be giving them that opportunity.

It's very funny how African men always reiterate that women should have jobs and not take money from their husbands but they will flare up if you suggest that husbands should cook and cleanup after themselves instead of depending on their wives for it.
It helps the woman a lot, if she have a career, business or a job, she can fall back on to; if plan A does not work.

The husband can always get someone to cook, clean or wash his clothes if plan A does not work.

She said she can be forcibly thrown out and her children taken from her if she is not protected by the law. She isn't doing it for money.
Am surprised that, you have your answers and are still here asking.

As to her saying ‘it is not for money’, the truth is the protection come as a package....and it is usually ‘not for money’ until it becomes ‘for money’ down the road.

If she did not do court marriage, she is still protected by customary marriage laws, but not as strong as the statutory protection that comes with court marriage or if she is given a FGN certificate during the church wedding.

Since her husband insists on not doing it, she should drop the issue, the longer she dwell on that issue, the more the husband would start thinking that, she have an ulterior motive behind the marriage all along....The purest of men will think so!

Not all communities in Nigeria have designated graveyards and most people will not take their deseaded relatives especially elders to the next community or city and bury them in graveyards there.

The only time I would reside in a residential apartment with a graveyard, is only when the deceased is a Family member.......

Use that graveyard as a bargaining chip to obtain discount on your rent agreement (if possible, sign a short lease period)...
Use the graveyard as a bargaining chip? It is a non starter for many families and there are people that will not even rent to you again, if you bring it up, even if you changed your mind and want to pay the original price or add money.

It is a clear sign that, you don’t know the value and custom and are someone that may likely disrespect the gravel in the future.

Hello all. Pls I wasn't sure where to ask this question. I'm about to pay for a house and I noticed there's a graveyard inside d compound and close to our side of d house (its just 2 flat bungalow. Someone else is already occupying d back flat). We asked and they said d mother of d owner of d house was buried there.

At first I didn't even mind at all but I just thought it wise to ask questions before we pay. Is there anything wrong moving into a house where someone u do not know was buried?

Also I have 2 small boys and expecting a 3rd child and my boys play a lot and I have no doubt that one day they may play to that grave as its at our front yard.

What are ur advice's please? Does it mean? Can we go ahead and stay there? Anything wrong in staying at a house where someone was buried? I'm not afraid I just want to be sure that there's no spiritual consequences or anything of sort
This is normal in Nigeria, especially in the south...there are no concept of central cemetery in many places and the only area that come close to a central cemetery in many communities is the evil forest where the dead bodies of people that died either through abominable acts or who commit suicide are dumped...for the rest, they are either buried in front of the house or even inside the house.

Fear not, just keep an eye on your kids, so they respect the grave not take they pay homage to it, just not to play on it in a way that is disrespectful as the relatives wouldn’t take it kindly.

The matter was reported to the police and the guy was made to write and sign an undertaking.

The truth is, this is how about 40% of first occurrence of domestic violence are handled in Nigeria...and it is usually people who erected safe guards that does this i.e. leave the house, involves the police and also make the guy to sign undertaking. About 55% other cases don’t even leave the house, don’t involve the police and don’t bother to ask the guy to write any undertaking before resuming the relationship.

You should stay put and don’t mediate.

Traditional and custom wise, as far as you are concern, your sister is not yet married. They have to complete what the customs dictates before you make any move.

As the first son, you are the custodial of your family customs and traditions and cannot be seem as the one helping to undermine it. Tell your Sister and your Mom that, you are not aware of her marriage and that, your door is open, if they want to come and make things right.

And it does not require much to make things right, in my place, a bottle of wine or local gin is enough, it is not that you need their money or for them to come and pay homage to you.

It was rationalized.
And very rational of them to lay those folks off.

78% of the Local staff in the Chancery of the Nigerian Embassy in the US are Yorubas and are both incompetent and very rude to their fellow countrymen. They make you feel you are bugging them.
I'm sure Buhari will want that to change.

It's not fair that I can't readily find someone to speak Etsako or Igbo with when I go in there.
Nigeria belongs to all tribes and not just the Yorubas and Hausas.
What do they mean by ‘local staff’?

Is it that, they are US Residents/Citizens working at the embassy, i.e. they are not diplomatic workers who must return to Nigeria after been let go.
