I think we are saying the same thing. If dumping him is harder to begin with, going through his phone will make it much more harder if your suspicions are validated that he is cheating. I think they should change the rules regarding serving papers. If Lawyers appear to defend you regarding wrong service or lack of service, it means they are representing you, so the rule should allow the plaintiff to serve you through your lawyers right there in the court.

Then the case can proceed, so it can be heard and determined based on merit instead of running the clock with all these delay tactics.

Plus, courts does decipher truth, it is called 'Court of Justice' and not 'Court of Truth' for obvious reasons. You can steal and be caught red handed by a camera in a broad day light and can be declared not guilty in a court of law, even when the court or Judge did not cut corners. Because it is the duty of the prosecuting authorities to proof beyond any reasonable doubt that you are guilty of the crime been accused of. And, a camera does not proof anything, it must be entered into the record in accordance with the rules of evidence, and if the prosecutor made error on any of the rules of evidence, the camera evidence can be tossed....

It must also be validly authenticated, preserved, etc...otherwise, the court has no choice than to declare you not guilty especially if you have competent defense team...but it does not mean that the person is innocent of the crime charged, it just that the prosecution though have some proof, but they could not sustain their bundle of that proof beyond reasonable doubts.... and this is why the courts use the phrase 'Not Guilty' instead of 'Innocent'.

The matter is already in court and that he owns those properties is no longer news, in the Federal Government suite to seize his 22 hidden properties, these Florida and London homes were cited in the Government Schedule B form of the properties they desire to seize.

The news that SR is reporting is that, Ike is trying to circumvent the efforts of the government to recovery these properties by selling them and listing them in the market for sales.

If you match the address of the properties on Government Schedule B in case#FHC/ABJ/CS/284/2018 and do a google search online, you will see that, some have been sold or listed for sale...

Property ownership and tax records are open to the public, most counties have these information for free online, if not online a visit to the local county office can get you the info or a paid search service online can do the same.

SR cited property tax info, a mere google search can point to the county records with these info, it’s not rock science.

Engagement ring is not a gift....you agreed to marry the guy, hence he gave it to you. If you had said NO to his proposal, he would not have given you the ring, therefore once the prospect of marrying becomes a NO, it should be returned.

If the guy sues, he will get his ring or monetary compensation back.

Yes, they can as all workers are ‘at will employee’ by default in Nigeria.

But, it is against the law to base employment, promotion and sack on gender. Don’t get me wrong, many companies do it, but it is usually covert.

But, when a company sacks 90 of their staff and 100% of them are female, the sack is overtly gender based and motivated and it is illegal. There are many covert ways to achieve the same goal.
