The secret of the mentioned (and unmentioned) businesses/brands wasn't really because each of them started small no - this isn't to nullify the importance of starting small anyway - instead the unpronounced secret is that they all had valuable aptitudes and passions. Mastery of one's profession breeds self-confidence, at least in such professional line, while one's passion for his occupation breeds grit. In every realistic settings, seed money always constitutes less than 20 percent of the compound resources that'll be needed to build any kind and size of business empire. You don't need a billion currency to build a multibillion currency business empire. |
pocohantas:You and badinage are like 5&6. lol. Happy Sunday! |
Jesusloveyou:You're a typical bumpkin. Anyways, I don't join issue with your ilk, direct your further mention(s) to your wretched father and lunatic mother. |
Come on! Engr. Innocent Ikpamezie isn't a thug. |
Small-mindedness is a very big disease globally. It's very easy for anyone who can easily gloss his/her ignorance with mastery of the queens language (or one's lingua franca subject to country of origin and stay) to turn to either a critic or motivational speaker. Articulate incompetents with handy mental parochial and feeble-minded supporters everywhere. SMH. See them casting aspersions on Dangote's personality/blueprints and celebrating the misinformation respectively. For one, any player or stakeholder in the oil business knows that PMS refining constitues less than 25 percent of very many refinery products anywhere, Dangote's own inclusive. So, it smack of idiocy for anyone to erroneously and conclusively assert with boldness that because there's global "asumption" that electric cars are going to be the in-things in the foreseeable future automatically makes Dangote an unwise businessman. And the articulate incompetent of a writer that literally has no valuable productivity is automatically a wise one. Manifestation of electric cars as the in-things in the foreseeable future can never have bad effect on Dangote's refinery. There's much to refinery than production of PMS. Let's all stop celebrating mediocrity. About his tomato plant, the OP of that article is equally an articulate incompetent. The plant was originally set up more as an incentive/CSR/empowerment vehicle towards local tomato farmers - its temporary closure has nothing to do with poor feasibility studies on the company's part but has everything to do with local farmers/you jobless lots who failed to maximize the opportunity it present. |
jaxxy:You're wise. Only small-minded people pays for love, and the they do so with ulterior motives - not justifying small-minded women's actions though. When one spend on a woman altruistically, no matter the amount, he won't have reason to feel used after the relationship fail. Rewarding of disloyalty, and celebration of subjugation and its accompanying vices are systematic means of paying for love in a relationship. Condone pettiness at your own peril. A virtuous woman on the other hand deserves the very best of things life can offer. Spending on a woman you love isn't a bad thing, but paying a woman because you love her (using money to command her loyalty, submissiveness and respect) is an act of weakness and stupidity. |
Once she earned/can command my self-sacrifice. I can love for the world without being in love though. |
If the husband is either not capable of shouldering the collective needs of the family or his is a business that can be moved easily to the new location, he's no justifiable reason not to move along with her - I've to presume that the woman in question is a virtuous woman that deserves the best from her man. However, if she's a self-centered woman (small-minded type of a woman), personally I'll neither allow her to move an inch nor join her no matter the condition. |
kimbraa:We de make arrangement to see if we go appointment you even if na special adviser to the president on charity mata. Happy Sunday. |
Life as a variant of choice: it will simply be what you wish/make it to be - excluding perfection, because that's exclusively for the sole creator of the world - subject to sound personal philosophy. Sound personal philosophy begets good principle(s). And believe you me that with good principles you can creat an eldorado life for yourself, one where only bad natural occurrences can cause you unhappiness. Embrace non-conformism (powered by conscientiousness and grit) and minimalism (powered by kindness). Living life at the periphery of conventionalism and doing so conscientiously will help you to find its true meaning. Just bear it in mind that no one can make a sustainable personal advancement without self-denial, so also no one can make sustainable contributions towards others without self-sacrifice. |
In politics losers will always have their say while winners have their way. |
FRoosevelt:My submission is lucid enough for an articulate person like you to understand it without hassle, but unfortunately you didn't citing your opposition. Romantic love (fancy/physical attraction plus/minus one other good attribute) shouldn't be mistaken for real/bigger love - just as there's a Lagos in Lagos State so also there's love in Love. Real love is a variant of goodness (it's both unconditional and immaterial) and when mixed with fancy (physical attraction) a healthy relationship occurs; a relationship that'll stand the test of time. Eg a virtuous woman (woman of goodness) plus a Godly man (man of goodness/nobleman) that find themselves physically attractive won't have any reason not to enjoy a healthy and harmonious union if they marry each other. About the spate of divorces been witnessed everywhere these days, it's much to do with people who didn't achieve self-realization as individuals before contracting their marriages, and those who finds pleasure in self-deceptions. Love is the father of respect, loyalty, kindness, affection - all constituents/children of goodness. |
Love - real/bigger love (not neither fake love; fixation and servility, nor constituents of the bigger love; affection, fancy and care which independently bears the same name "love" ) - begot respect, loyalty, affection etc goodness in general. So, respect is one of the constituents of love, therefore, it's an insult to compare both - literally, it's not good to compare a father with his son. |
Strategic marketing. |
Relationship isn't a rehabilitation avenue, walk out and allow her to fix herself - if she makes it possible then both of you can reconnect. A healthy relationship never pilfers energy instead it renews it. |
Okorocha is suffering from delusions of grandeur. He offers subjugation to others while he expects servility from them. Nonsense. Loyalty is reciprocal; one who comes into equity must come with clean hands. About 99 percent of Nigerian elite are sufferers of mental and ethical illnesses. |
Balderdash. Only an articulate incompetent like the OP will antagonize free will (choice) in any guise. Citing his parochial submission, it means that an important fruit like banana should be proscribed from human consumption since abuse of it always results to nervous breakdown. Domineeringness can never stand as an alternative to libertarianism. Choice of course doesn't mean absence of conscientiousness. |
In truth, the only possible way a Nigerian president can achieve enviable success in the fight against looters (corruption) is by acting at the periphery of democratic norms. And such a president must be a conscientious person; one that's a proponent and practitioner of the axiom "one who comes into equity must come with clean hands. " Corruption remains worse than stealing. |
It's quite unfortunate that in APC, expediency reigns supreme over principle. |
Choice as a human right makes irrelevant a question on an ambiguous topic like this. |
A loyal woman (person) deserves the best of gifts from her partner. Kudos to them. |
Obedience is better than sacrifice hence more glorifying. Honestly, I wonder how you find it pleasurable staying a relationship with a lady that lives in the same compound with you and not just that, you're also living under your parents roof. This means that your parents don't only cater for your well-being but for that of your girlfriend (and possibly your girlfriend friends too) since it's obvious that they pay for even water you drink in the house. You no get shame eh! |
Perfectionism is an illusion. Perfection is only of the sole creator of the universe. Unfortunately, what most people mistake for a perfectionist is someone whose self esteem is rooted in weak self-sufficiency. Show me an assumed perfectionist and I'll point to you a narcissistic and conceited person. |
Yes. Personally, I've unconditional love for every human being. Of course, unconditionality of love doesn't invalidate conditionality of falling in love and staying in love. Meanwhile, when it comes to achieving romantic relationship and/or sexual attraction, aside my love that's constant for everyone, the following two other components that constitutes a healthy relationship for me must be present. Viz: - Loyalty - Fancy (physical attraction) |
yettymuse:I'm glad we think alike. |
Religious proponents and practitioners and imaginary enemies are inseparable. Paranoia patients/sufferers. Disunity is the product of fear. |
The truth is that most people, especially on this forum, would definitely not understand your stance and longing either because of ignorance or pretense. To people under this category, it will take only acts of either or both servility and self-slavery (continual self-sacrifices) from you towards their interest (your siblings are their interest in this regard) to be considered human and good enough. Unfortunately, they're usually hypocrisy personifies, loyalty (your loyalty) - which is the best thing one can offer another - can never be enough to them. Kindly don't allow anyone to ruin you. Create boundaries. Advancement in age always comes with manifestations of individuals ethical leanings. And, believe you me that two adults who don't share the same ethical leanings can never live together harmoniously - it doesn't matter whether the adults in this regard are siblings or have mutual affection for each other or used to be best of friends. At best they'll be living as frenemies which means superficiality will become the order of the day. Closeness doesn't automatically mean oneness just as independence doesn't automatically mean absence of thoughtfulness. Once more, I say create boundaries to prevent constant bickering or living together as frenemies. Yet, never forget to be both thoughtful and conscientious towards them at all times. Small-minded people tend to use a scenario like yours to substantiate the erroneous postulation by them also, that Africans tend to more beneficent/accommodating towards their extended families than the Westerners do towards theirs. Balderdash. What's true is that while majority in the latter group are realnesss personifies the majority in the former group are superficiality personifies (suffering/bitter and smiling). Small-minded people don't know that peace - inner peace - is the most treasured possession in the world. And that one who isn't in charge of his privacy, dominion and dignity can never possess it. Never maintain closeness with someone you don't share same ethical leanings with, because oneness can never be achieved in such association. Closeness without oneness breeds toxicity. |
Small-minded people and vices, both in words and actions, are inseparable - even with their mental parochialism, whatever that is beyond their understanding is automatically evil. |
Save for the fact that majority in this country don't play politics on principle and conviction, I wonder why any sane person would castigate the man in question for choosing to hold different political view/ join a political party different from the one his half brother belong. Democratic tenet is different from sentimental tenet. |
Undiplomatic politicians are like conceited women, no matter how intelligent these classes of people may be, they'll always be on the wrong side of the power that be so long as they fail to mellow down - and it gets worse for the individual involved if s/he has an unresolved moral (present or previous) burdens. Dino wasn't wise after all. |
