This celebrities and their wicked ways..

Them wey dey turn up to any country wey dey like.. some even get dual citizenship.. then they go come on social media to post shit like a regular Nigerian like they are feeling the pain of a below average man..

Shey if poor man dey cry say him never see food chop.. rich man too go dey cry??

Use your platform to speak of the ills of the government and for the people.. no be to dey chop life for back then come online dey type shit
The rich also cry.
Bad roads, insecurity, poor electric power supply and other infrastructure deficit etc also affect them, though food and money is much more available to them.
I read of a well to do guy who died before he could make it to the hospital because the roads were congested due to a tanker that fell.
However, rich people can also set up foundations that will provide food, clothing, shelter, education and healthcare to the poorest people as they do in the western world.
The above may help reduce the animosity the poor people have against the rich people in the country.

It's great to know that Dr. Andrew Okpaleke children are all Medical Doctors.
Dr. Okpaleke established a hospital somewhere in Raji Rasaki Estate, Lagos, Nigeria, even though he could have continued to live in comfort in the US.
He once told me that it broke his heart to see Nigerians die from illnesses that should not claim their lives if they were living in the US.
However, he had to eventually close the above hospital and return to the United States as he was not really getting any support to take care of the poor and needy people.
If he was being supported by an NGO or a rich Nigerian Foundation, maybe his hospital here will still be functional and would have continue to help poor sick patients.

NYSC › Re: NYSC To Consider Deploying Corps Members To Ghana, Other West African States by lozanni(m): 3:34pm On Apr 16, 2021
What a proposition. They should clap for themselves.

Instead of them to think of out-of-box ideas like engaging the private sector to create more jobs through giving them adequate tax and financial incentives or training of youths to be self-employed and giving them the requisite financial support, they are thinking of sending our youths to other West-African countries, some with very turbulent political systems, where their safety cannot be guaranteed by the government. smh.

Enugu is okay but Abakpa side is always an eyesore.

I really pray that Enugu will have a governor that will pay attention to Abakpa.

Again NIKE people of Abakpa side need to cooperate
Abakpa was originally a village.
On a certain weekend, back in the days of UNEC, I and a close friend went strolling into town; I was surprised to meet a guy I knew from campus standing in front of a bungalow while combing his hair. I enquired from him about what he was doing there and he told me that the bungalow was his village home; that was when I realized that the place is a developed 'village'.

Its time to think like a matured mind.

That Pen Cinema area has always been associated with crime. I thought that the commissioning of the fly over will reduce the crime rate there, but it does not seem to be so.

Rest in peace to the deceased.

Properties › Re: Osborne Foreshore Resident Association (OSFRA) Beat Up Lekki Gardens Contractors by lozanni(m): 1:57pm On Apr 11, 2021
bomsilaga:
Government agencies responsible for reclamation constantly monitor reclamation and the government also issued a directive to stop further reclamation works.
It's just a show of power between powerful residents in the shadows and Lekki Gardens
Okay, if the government cannot enforce the stop order, then the court will be in the best position to do so, once a 'stop work' injunction is filed there.
Properties › Re: Osborne Foreshore Resident Association (OSFRA) Beat Up Lekki Gardens Contractors by lozanni(m): 3:37pm On Apr 10, 2021
The OFRA members maybe afraid that further developments, such as reclamation of land at the site may lead to total flooding of their estate, I had that experience when I drove to another side of one of the estates located there and it was frightful witnessing the level of flood water there.

However, sending touts to beat up workers at the site is not the best solution to the above problem as a legal action to stop further developments at the site can be filed at the court.
The court will only allow further developments there if the fears of the residents are properly addressed and laid to rest.

Rip DMX.

I remember that year he came to Abuja to perform with Ashanti, the songstress.

Like the good entertainer he was, he chose to perform some few hours after he landed at the Airport due to delayed flight; unfortunately the heat was too much for him and he later collapsed on the stage.

PHIPEX:
Hours of gun fight yet to casualty. So the entire police force ran away from their headquarters on hearing gunshots?

Hours of gunshots at the heart of the city close to the govt house yet to military or DSS intervention?

They went to the prison to release prisoners yet no casualty from the prison warders, they also miraculously disappeared?

What an interesting news.
They are usually fast in disappearing in situations like the above.
A certain friend ran into robbers, on an expressway, but was able to out maneuver them through defensive driving.
Further down the road, he saw some security men at a roadblock and informed them about the situation above. The security men asked him where actually the robbers were and he pointed out the direction to them, they then scampered off in the opposite direction !

Politics › Re: How Would You Solve The Insecurity Issue In Nigeria If You Were The President? by lozanni(m): 9:12pm On Apr 05, 2021
The borders, especially in the north need to be properly secured to cut off weapons and ammunition supply to terrorists.
Also drones with heat sensors will be deployed to monitor movement of terrorists and bandits.
The military will be adequately equipped with modern weaponry and they will be adequately motivated to give their best for the country.
Cattle ranches will also be set up in Kano and other northern states that volunteer lands for ranching and cattle herders will be re-settled from southern states to that place.
Massive jobs and infrastructure will also be created to stem unemployment and engage most Nigerians.

Politics › Re: Unemployment: What Tinubu’s Recommendation Tells Us About Him - Oke Umurhohwo by lozanni(m):
Unfortunately, what Tinubu showed us on Monday in Kano was a replay of the failed ideas that counted for the country’s abysmal outlook. Perhaps he was too lost in his desire to impress supporters that he failed to realize that drafting 50m youth, which is 25% of Nigeria’s population, into the military is outrageous and unsustainable.

But he tried to dismiss the argument by suggesting that young people recruited into the military can eat “Cassava, corn, yam in the afternoon….. it is grown here.” This is unbelievable and to imagine that an aspiring president thinks what matters to young people is only food is unsettling.

The above paragraphs are reasons why all future Presidential candidates must be subjected to serious national debates to ascertain from them how they hope to achieve all the outlandish promises and declaration they have or might make.
In 2015 some candidates avoided the debates and here we are today threatened by unprecedented insecurity, hunger and unemployment in the land.
Any candidate who does not show up for such debates should not be voted for.

Once bitten, twice shy.

pocohantas:
I know someone was coming with this, I also know teaching has evolved as I know teachers that are paid well. However, they are the minority. The majority of Nigerian teachers are grossly underpaid and undervalued.
That is why our society is not making progress in all facets of life. How can you pay the people responsible for educating and moulding the minds of future generations so poorly and expect to produce geniuses in the academia, financial, industrial and political spheres of our national life?

I guess you are being sarcastic smiley

You will be surprised at the primitive thinking of some people in this present age; someone told me once, that if a cock crows at an unusual hour of the day in his village, that the said cock will be slaughtered at once as it has broken the laws of the land.
Enlightened minds will investigate to find out the hormone responsible for such erratic behavior.
