Rilwayne001: He exist everywhere but people like you do not perceive him,
Read this thread and bear witness of His existence
www.nairaland.com/1853836/fingerprints-god

After that tell me if your ogun and co. exists outside the brain of yoruba paganist like you?

Read here: www.nairaland.com/1853836/fingerprints-god

After that then prove your "orisa mereerindinlogun to us with facts and observation.
That thread only talks of the consciousness of the universe.
It doesn't prove Allah.
Christians say it's Jehovah, Modern Jews says it's Yahweh, You say it's Allah but sorry no where in the known universe did ur Allah sign his name or leave his fingerprint.

Show me where Allah is, I dare u to prove Allah created the universe?
Where was he before he started his work? Wat made him start work? Boredomhuh

You want me to prove Ogun exists??
First of wat do u know about ogun? Because it would b a waste of time giving u the actuality of Ogun Lakaye Osinmole when you don't even know wat Ogun is

pls I don't even want to derail my thread, I want a Yahweh vs Ogun discuss, as that's wat am ready for
Open ur thread for Allah vs Ogun if u can

Are you after truth or comfort?

Rilwayne001: -Your point here - ogun is god, but not a unique God since he is incapable of doing all things

My posts are not out of point it is still in line with the op,

My points so far on this thread with the surah i quoted is to show you that God is Single Entity and Perfectly Unique in every aspect and Complete and Capable to do all things irrespective of how the bible portrayed him.

As far as the Quran is concerned your ogun is nothing near God. Better still tell me if your ogun is perfectly unique and can do all things.
And this is epic failure.

Because such a god doesn't exist outside the Quran.

Even the real Allah is not such a god.

If u disagree prove such a God exist with facts and observations

Yes, they but don't misunderstand the meaning of "being"
Because "being" is simply One that has consciousness to the degree of forming a personality, essence or nature.

Rilwayne001: Surah Al-Hadid, Verse 1-5
ALL THAT IS in the heavens and on earth extols God’s limitless glory: for He alone is almighty, truly wise!

His is the dominion over the heavens and the earth; He grants life and deals death; and He has the power to will anything.

He is the First and the Last, and the Outward as well as the Inward: and He has full knowledge of everything.

He it is who has created the heavens and the earth in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. He knows all that enters the earth, and all that comes out of it, as well as all that descends from the skies, and all that ascends to them. And He is with you wherever you may be; and God sees all that you do.

His is the dominion over the heavens and the earth; and all things go back unto God [as their source].

(English - Mohd Asad)
I agree with you, this is what I would say about Obatala and Oduduwa. But wat has this got to do with Ogunlakaye Osinmole, the builder of your bones and blood cells??

Pls this thread addresses Yahweh and Ogun
What importance does Yahweh have that Ogun doesn't have and much more?
Is it in war?? Ogun himself is God of war, without ogun you cant fight a war
It is ogun that gives weapons and protection in war
Without ogun, you won't have living organisms, it's him who assisted Obatala in forming the humanity and other animals
Christianity Etc › Re: How Do You Defined GOD by macof(m): 2:35pm On Aug 16, 2014
basille: How do i define God?
God is an energy responsible for the universe and keeping all of its elements working together in harmony. It isn't anthropomorphic so it can't hear or answer prayers neither can it perform miracles or any other superstitions that delusional people do believe.

Who is God?
The air you breath, that's God. The cool evening breeze that roughens your hair? that's God. The heat from the sun that dries up your wet cloth? that's God. That cool morning dew that dampens the grass in your yard? that's God. The gravity at the center of the earth? that's God. The bright light from the moon that illuminates your room at night? that's God.

God is everywhere. God is simply just PURE ENERGY.

Don't get your hopes too high cause the same energy is also responsible for some unfortunate natural disaster around the world. E.g Tsunami, Earthquakes and hurricanes.
Beautiful!
To add:

no certain "God" exists, be it Jehovah, Obatala or Zeus..these are only human concepts of their understanding of the universe.

So when youtalk of god- the creator, we aren't talking of some being in the sky that had a human son in Jerusalem, or an old man living on the highest mountain.

There's simply that one body - one body that constitutes all in existence, from the wind to trees, humans to animals, planets to the stars and all space. in short words the entire universe is God itself...you won't find any heaven anywhere in space..unless God is an alien grin

what I mean here is that Energy is the only thing that matters, as matter itself is only condensed energy.
This creator doesn't hear, speak or move around(it's already everywhere anyway) but is conscious that is being proactive, reactive and active
Christianity Etc › Yahweh Cannot Defeat Ogun by macof(op): 12:43pm On Aug 16, 2014
Yahweh, the god of Israel who in Semitic spirituality is the spirit of mountains and hills(if you doubt, challenge me to this)

Ogun, the spirit of all metallic elements particularly Iron. In yorubaland, Ire-Ekiti, Saki Oyo and Idanre are his patron cities.

Here we would see how the Bible records a battle between these two spirits

Judges 1:19 - And the Lord was with Judah, and he drove out the inhabitants of the mountain but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley because they had chariots of Iron

There's two things in this verse
1. Yahweh's strength lays in the mountain
2. Judah with the grace of Yahweh couldn't defeat an army with the grace of iron(Ogun)

Beaf: A lot of the words listed are Isoko and Urhobo words as well. So? lol

Becomerich, go and sit down! Itsekiri is an older language than Yoruba, in case you don't know. Like I told another illiterate expansionist, its like the US claiming England is American.

Abeg, keep my peeps out of your hairbrained schemes.
Beaf: ^
Itsekiri is a mixture of proto-Yoruba (which is not Yoruba, but its ancestor) and Igala. It is a language that is far closer to Igala than Yoruba; more than that, the Igala also claim to to be the ancestors of the Yoruba (this is seemingly supported by anthropology).

So, if anything, the Itsekiri are progenitor of the Yoruba, which makes any expansionist claims absolutely ridiculous.

. . .By the way, your quote from Ayomike is miles out of context and has nothing to do with the current argument.
I hope from 2011 till now you have acquired more knowledge on This matter
Itsekiri are share more than alot with other tribes to the West(Yoruba tribes)

Even itsekiri language is Yoruboid, infact it is Ijebu language reformed

This thread gives more aid to the defining movement of our brotherhood.

Itsekiri were wondering ijebus who settled in today's delta state so many years ago.

Urhobo, isoko and Olukumi are also our kin.
No one is tagging them as Yoruba but we should also note that the only true Yoruba are Oyo...the rest are only called so because of our bond with oyo.

Ekiti, Ijebu, Okun, Urhobo, Edo, Esan, Awori, Olukumi etc are all members of one family.
And we are suppose to be that way if not for the despicable politics of Nigeria

Sorry, but how does this prove Allah exist?? Who says it's not Obatala or Zeus that is the real consciousness behind the universe.

All the OP is about is that the universe is conscious, or there's a consciousness responsible for it, however telling me that consciousness is Allah - an Arab deity that metamorphosed from an Arab pagan deity of the same name - is ridiculous

North? Same North where the Hausa language and identity is the general order
If wat u say is true then these "ethnic groups" are rather too small, below influential and almost irrelevant
Culture › Re: How Can One Distinguish A Nigerian? by macof(m): 1:06am On Aug 15, 2014
There's nothing to use to identity a Nigerian because there's no identity as "Nigerian"

As a wise man ones said "The only true identity of an African is his tribe or ethnicity"

I as a Yoruba man have more in common with a Beninese Anago than a Kanuri from Bornu, Nigeria
Culture › Re: How Can One Distinguish A Nigerian? by macof(m): 12:59am On Aug 15, 2014
Fulaman198: No, it's hard sometimes on how others will see you as a Nigerian. Nigerians could easily pass for other West African nations due to the fact that Nigeria has over 250 ethnic groups. However, it is easy to differentiate a Nigerian from a South African and a Nigerian from a Kenyan due to far different regions.

West African cultures are quite similar.
250 ethnic groups shocked under wat records?? Who are the 250??
You probably mean 250 tribes, cus it's impossible for one nation to 250 ethnic groups?? that's already enough to make a continent grin

of course no Igbo dares claim Lagos, not even ijebu can claim Awori parts of Lagos talkless of far away Igbo.

But here am even talking abt ibo often supporting Bini in their claims of oduduwa, Lagos and Ijebu..Igbo even seem to make more noise than the Bini when it comes to the history and foundation of Lagos. .
