I guess the majority shareholder is trying to prevent a takeover of their company.

I learnt the 3 majority shareholders of UACN who now have a combined 22% of the company came in through the right offer.

Every1 follows the money, With oil prices going for record highs, I predict a very frosty election period as the incumbent would also want to reap the rewards of high oil prices and opposition would want to continue from whence they dropped the barton. The next election would be hardly fought for as the emerging winner would have a windfall at their disposal, @times I think the last election was not rigged because of low oil prices, I imagined if oil prices around last election period was @ record highs($140), The average Nigerian Politician will rather go to war than let the will of the people prevail......

All this rant just to say the following,

I will keep Jijoing till after effect of release of result....

I will start buying massively for long term when the uncertainty bad election news start hitting the market and investors start running helter scelter and play safe.....

Right now I am on Capital Preservation mode

I just feel the money entering the market now are from matured tbills of 2017, with cbn pricing only 365days tbills above 15%,most investors are on itchy fingers trying to beat last years tbills performance in days.....
Anyway, I dey watch crude oil prices as market don cost as crude add money on top...I will not hesistate to clear heart breaking stocks dis bull season.........

Men I sight another stock(skye bank) dat has been riding d tide btw 0.50k and 0.62k every 2 months,I will wait for it to come back to coast afain @ 0.50

MSCI- NIGERIA FUND ADDITIONS BETWEEN 2ND AND 4TH JANUARY 2018

The fun has not been very active since 22nd December 2018. Likely to resume from next week. Also since the fund paid dividend last January, this January 5, 2018 they are also likely to pay dividend again, so they have been selling some little amounts just to have cash for dividend.

The fun is still buying Seplat in small quantities. So no big move seen yet. So the information is sometimes embedded in my other posts. But if I see anything substantial, I will escalate it. We are waiting for the equities that will be used to replace Unilever and UACN which are no more in the list.

The movement in the fund between 2nd and 4th January 2018 is shown below. However, what I can say is that the fund is having enormous cash available (about NGN904,199,292.00).

The decision by the fund around July 2017, when they postponed investing further in Nigeria market, brought back the little bear season we experienced, now that the fund and its allies are now pro-Nigeria, we can imagine the bull move that will come to the market . Let us have this in mind. this is the reason why every news is so optimistic in the market. Our own job is to position ourselves to make money from the big moves by the funds and insha Allah good things will happen to investors who can put their money in good stocks.

Going further, the closing figures in the market today showed some blue chips among the gainers, extrapolating this, next week is likely to be bullish.

Imagine someone who bought 100 units of Dangote Sugar at N20. He must have paid N2,000 excluding broker's charge. Imagine if Dangote Sugar declared 80kobo dividend, he should get like N72 after withholding tax.

He goes for the AGM and he is fed with a sumptuous meal, with chilled water. Then he is given Transport fare of N5,000.

The guy has got his capital plus dividends + profit in one sitting!!!

He is making more money than those who bought 1million units of Dangote Sugar at N20 waiting for appreciation and dividend. The dividend yield on cost (YoC) is just 4%. If price remains the same, no appreciation for you.

Whereas the other guy got capital invested(N2,000) + profit(N3,000) + his N72 dividend. And his 100 unit stocks are still in the market ooo unsold.

Next AGM season no go easy o! If I can attend nestle, seplat,DangCem, total, skye fund AGM, come collect their 5k incentive,Thats multiple souce of income, considering that most Companies AGMs will be held within the space of 3months.....Though my main aim will be how to enter the league of major dist3ibutor

I see this GT VS Innoson case as the begining of masses programming against 2019 election.....Any way, I pray they drag down GT price to its sub #15 days,make we load....It remains the best managed bank in Nigeria.

I think he meant crowdfunding to buy up firms. If big money guys submit cash, they can give bloc shares and control firms by planting a director in the board.

I also have a batch of treasury bills that will mature by december, I can remember the situation bck then, stocks were going down in price giving me high bp,and I hurriedly bought tbills @ 7.9% rate from diamond bank........Seeing my self as an average investor, I willl rather wait it out again, so many tbills maturing and those funds are heading straight for the stock market..
I still feel stocks are expensive.
I have fbnh bought @ 3.15, fidelity bought @ 0.88, Dangote sugar bought @ 6.15, all this year....

I will only buy stocks that bears are dealing with seriiusly and they are pet marketing stocks
