I finally got medical request today, but there's a small issue. I applied with my 2 year old son and my 5 years old daughter. I got the letters for the clinic for my son and I, didn't find any for my daughter. Anyone had any similar experience before? What do I do? How can I enquire as the mail is a ''do not reply' e-mail. Thanks ahead.

I still don't understand the rationale behind these crazy processing time for Nigeria applicants while our neighbors in the sub-region do 5 weeks maximum.

Sometimes, I feel like going to Ghana or Benin republic to submit my application since I hold Ecowas passport (Lesse passé or as they call it in Seme) so as to enjoy the sweet processing time of 5weeks but I don't know if it's possible. Just thinking out loud


I believe it will end in praise for us all.

Hi Everyone,

Please I will love to know if anyone has been able to get a foreign reference/bank assurance in any of the banks. If yes, please I will like to know how you went about it and what bank to be precise. Cos, I took the advice of one of us here and walked into the bank to make a request...two banks to be precise and they both told me that there is a template which they all follow and which is from the headquarters.

Also said it wont be feasible to change the norm.

Please in such a situation can i be advised on what do to. Cos I am running out of time as I haven't submitted my study permit application and i am suppose to resume 1st of September...

Please can anyone with a good heart advise me?

You will get a feed back within 7 working days, but if you choose to explore the 3rd option walk into any bank except diamond(they are id.ots) and ask for a foreign reference or banker's assurance.. Show dem the CIC letter tell them to make sure the two clauses reflect on the letter
Clause 1: the money is on deposit

Clause 2: according to Central bank forex policy the money CAN be exported not WILL be exported... No bank can guarantee you will export the cash because they don't know ya intentions they can only guarantee that the cash can be exported

Yes you can open a bank account from Nigeria but it's long thin.... Diamond bank has refused to issue me banker's assurance even with 19milli in the account? Who knows any better bank abeg those that work in bank help ooo time is going

did the bank state that "$10k CAD" Is available on the letter? Did they state the fact that it will be allowed to be exported?

These are two things CIC wants to see in the letter 1,10kcad is available 2, the said available 10kcad can be exported.

Meanwhile can you shed more light on which bank and how u went about getting the letter

It should suffice. Also endeavour to get the bank reference letter concerning the funds you have in the SOA with possibility of it being exported.

hello boss. i am awaiting an offer from western university anytime from now. i am hoping it comes with funding too. i got 4.31cgpa and i have a strong supervisor dat accepted me there. however, they said they will be reviewing on 11th may, 2017. till date, they havent gotten back to me yet. how do u advice i tackle this please.. am i going to get admitted or not. i dont understand the western university system pals

I don't think u need to resubmit soa, let the bank write another reference letter stating or assuring the vo that the cash will be made available(forex ) when it's time for her to travel. plus the funding docs . I think that should do

the funding letter should do and also her soa (with a letter from her bank stating the #5mil or tge amoybt ger sposonr is pledging for her upkeep will be easily transfered to canada when it's time for her to travel)

From working with contract firms that work with jb I have come to understand that that job is usually outsourced to architectural firms internationally, locally to a few firms like James Cubitt

Big firms like Costain and jb only handle structural thousands road building and building carcass.

When a project is sited for development jobs are alloted to various firms.

Architectural
Structural
M&E

Find the area you role or skill fits and search and apply accordingly.

Don't waste your time going after the wrong firm with the wrong role.

E. G architect applying to structural firm, cappa dlbarto, jb, costain. Erong

Mechanical applying in an architectural firm, wrong

Most times you won't get a reply.

First contact the school to provide a new acceptance letter.
Also get the school to provide a funding letter addressed to the embassy. The letter should that the program is fully funded (tuition and living expense). You can also get a dollar draft of USD 5000-10000 as proof of personal funds.

Please what bank card can I use to pay for online TRV application? the ones i know of only allow a max of 100usd while most outrightly bar non naira payments except for Dorm accts. Thanks in anticipation.
