Is there anyone who got PPR as a supermarket owner? I am fully aware of all the requirements for self employed persons but i’d Just like to be sure I am not leaving anything out. I have all my CAC documents, bank statements, tax clearance for both the company and personal, reference letters from suppliers and clients.

Well, I really don't know what you claim as your occupation in your application, so it may be difficult stating a specific answer for you. And one thing I know, particularly as regards the EE, is that one's work experience counts based on the jobs in demand listed by the IRCC, and I don't think being a business owner is one of them.

However, since you're the owner of the business, and I want to believe that it is Registered, why not just claim that you're an office administrator, and you have been managing the supermarket, as the General Manager, for the number of years that you have been there.

Prepare a payslip, say for six months, to show how much you're being paid every month; prepare a letter of employment, bla bla bla.... A word is enough.

On this POMO issue: Many Nigerians who Cargo POMO or have POMO in their luggage when coming into Canada are required to DECLARE it.

If you declare it at the point of entry or at their office when seeking Customs clearance for your goods, they will simply add your name to their violators list and you don't get to pay fine.

If you don't DECLARE it at this point, you will be issued a Notice of Violation which will contain a fine of $1,300.

You will be allowed to pay $650 (granted 50% discount) if you pay same day otherwise you pay the full amount.

In both scenarios, your name goes into their violators record and they will continue to add to this record the number of times you violated this laws.

I don't know if this information is later used against you especially when you are seeking Citizenship.

Finally, being a victim of this POMO wahala as at yesterday, the Customs Officer clearing my Cargo told me to tell my fellow Nigerians to stop bringing POMO to Canada.

It seems they now search for POMO physically in all Shipment coming from Nigeria. When they search, they shred your bags and leave your luggage as a heap of mess.

The Terminal Manager also told me that this is a regular occurence for Shipments coming from Nigeria.

They both wondered why we don't share this experiences with each other to avoid the losses.

So, I have shared. Please share with other Nigerians especially those whose cargo will be cleared at Halifax Port!

Someone even wrote here that he had imagine how I'm feeling right now. Come to think of it, I ain't feeling any different from the normal.

You see, this whole thing was my wife's idea. Na she carry am for head like àkàrà. And why I had to succumb was when she brought the issue of the kids into it. She was like "do you want this children to grow up under this condition, bla bla bla...?"

It's a mixed feelings for me: the reality of having to start all over again; fear of the unknown; and a host of other things.

Yes, you can use the birth certificate issued to your parents by the government at the time of your birth.

I used a sworn affidavit, collected when I gained admission in 2001 into Yaba Tech. Though, I did the attestation of age collected from the national population commission, with my wife, but we didn't use it eventually.

If you mean for the medical, you will have to go with the passport of all dependants you included in your application, with two passports photographis each.

Remark was only done in speaking and the result took like a month before it was ready, after which I had a 7.5 having score 6.5 initially. I don't understand what you mean by what section of the speaking test I applied for remark. I only applied for remark in the speaking test and that was all.

You need to do your research.
We are talking about NOC here. Different jobs cannot count as 3 or 5 years work experience. You cannot claim 3 or 5 years work experience as regards NOC.
2 years as a plumber, for instance, and 3 years as a tiler can't count for for five years work experience for an NOC that requires, say five years experience. That's my point and I think I'm making sense.

They will count if they're the same job roles and functions, say for instance, not being a plumber on one job and a tailor at another. If you claim to be a tailor in the first job, stick to being a tailor or fashion designer in the other jobs. They're still related.
