I'm looking for a 1kva/1.5kva inverter that has good charging profile (preferably with onboard MPPT controller) for lifepo4 batteries. Abeg make una mention any product make wey fit do. This is needed on the interim pending when the ones bought overseas gets to Naija. Thanks y'all

Not loud at all, at least compared to my Thundervolt inverter, which I don't consider too anyway. Though It's good to know that my inverter is outside, maybe it might be perceived louder if installed indoors.
Also the fan comes on intermittently and at different speeds too.

I just got an IPOWER 5kva hybrid, it's cheap compact and runs smooth. That thing na machine I swear in terms of how you can program charging source, supply, parameters you can view and control. It's too early however to know about ruggedness.

Light weight with a sleek case, case very smooth which may slip off a sweaty palm if you are not mindful of it!

Wonderful mic which makes for crystal clear calls.

Pretty small esp compared to my Edifier NB2.

Very fast Bluetooth pairing.

Ability to use in both mono and stereo .

Though lacking ANC, the build makes for a great ENC experience.

I'll rate it 8/10.

Well, as I did on Felicity Lithium Battery, I have decided to answer my own question again.

I finally braved the odds and bought this battery, the 15Kwh version once advertised here by @justcallmanuel.

And the immediate experience is good. I charged it fully and did a capacity test. The battery can be discharged to 46V according to the instructions that came with it. However, because I was in a hurry and loaded it (AC, water pump and water heater, not simultaneously), my inverter cut off at 47.2V or thereabout after the battery has given me about 12.5Kwh/250AH. I believe that if I have the time to trickle discharge it with reasonable load, I may be able to get the rated 15Kwh/300AH from it.

I also opened up the battery to see the cells. The cells are unlike the regular cells we are family with. It is longer, twice the usual size and have positive and negative terminals on the opposing ends instead of being on only one side. My immediate thought is that it may be the cells used in electric vehicles.

The display on it is dumb. It is just a digital voltmeter connected to the battery terminals, so the SOC displayed is 100% unreliable.

The BMS is also dumb and looks like a BMS from Aliexpress, though there is no name on it for identification and it is heavily gummed down.

The whole package looks well built and I think it is a good buy at the price. It would have been very helpful if they had used a smart BMS, but I guess they have their reasons for their decisions.

Recommendation? Buy, if that is your sort of thing.

The charge controller (and my solar setup is in my signature) is victron 100/150. My current arraey is 335w x 9 arranged in a 3 x 3 x 3. The end PMV is about 90v.

The controller would be able to sustain a 5kw solar array (just about)

I can attest to the port congestion (which I believe is deliberately done to make importers desperate enough to allow themselves be extorted) when a container with my items on it stayed from August till November! Then they made the importer pay extra ₦2m as demurrage.

Although in my own case it was Sukam (a defunct Indian brand and competitor to luminous) I can attest to the rugged nature or Indian inverters. The pretty much use the same components. If there is one thing negative to be said about them it's they are extremely boring and just get the job done. That and the charge current which is usually low (so year 2 things)

The reason for this is most Indian inverters are designed primarily for the Indian market and thus are calibrated for the Minimum battery setup needed.

They try to ensure they stay within the 10% recommended charge rate of FLA which is the common battery type in India.

The inverter is a workhorse, super boring, but gets the job done. The boring display is taken care off by addition of an energy meter.

You just can't play with any settings, but this inverter is kept at a place most non premium inverter will fail- no external cooling, dust prone area. But the lil donkey kept trudging on. Lol

I've used one for 7 years running 24/7 and powering two fridges during the hours of 10AM to 3PM

Inverter is just so super rugged, but its charging current is pretty low (around 13A).

That's usually the case of most Indian inverter of this capacity.

I did but the dispute was closed. Aliexpress claims the item is with Nipost, that I should get it from them. Nipost said they didn't have it, I went to their post office more than 3 times.

I guess you can consider the package lost.

I haven't had a case of missing item that I did not win dispute on.

Over a year? The item is probably lost. I hope you opened dispute after the purchase protection which is like 90 days after the item is shipped.

None, if it is NIPOST. If it is Speedaf your item may be in China if you waste up to a week.
