KingofAnambra: How many Anambra people live in Anambra themselves? I myself i'm outside Anambra, and even my Governor Soludo just said more than half our people are outside Anambra state. The question is why?
I thought Peter Obi social media bandits said Peter Obi turned Anambra to New York, if true, then why is everyone running away? But don't tell me that nonsense that because Anambra is too small to contain everybody because that's a foolish lie.
Anambra is almost 5 times bigger than Lagos, yet people are not running from Lagos to Anambra. But thousands of people are running from Anambra to the Southwest and North every single day.
You think Buhari is bad for always filling federal seats with Northerners. Obi must not succeed Buhari. When you go to federal ministrys you wont hear any language beside Ibo.
KingofAnambra: Peter Obi appointed IGBOS ONLY in his entire cabinet and administration for 8 years as Anambra Governor. No single person from other tribes. A very extremely tribalistic person is what IPOB is trying to force on us
I say Obi sacked Ibos from other states working in the Anambra civil service back home. He repatriated them back to their states of origin. They lost their job and paycheck because they are from another state. Other tribes no even get chance, forget that one.
SE asks for Secretary to the Government of the Federation if the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, wins the 2023 general elections.
Why do Ibo leaders do irrational things?
Tinubu would want someone with superb administrative skills and competence in management and strategic leadership.
It is irrational for people well known for dramatic outbursts to ask for, or even want to be, head of bureaucracy.
The president has no authority in selecting Senate president. But even if he does, the most senior Ibo senator is Orji Kalu, he is a defector from PDP. Given his experience of Saraki in 8th Senate, his experience with Adamu at recent primary, Tinubu will never put a PDP defector in positions that can conflict his administration. Besides, Ndume has been skipped twice, in 8th and 9th, he stands a very solid chance of becoming President of 10th Senate.
Ibo should stop asking for opportunities that if given to them will put them in position to ruin government. Ibo ruined GEJ government, we all witnessed it and it wasn't long ago.
Give me my Yoruba Nation abeg! Im tired of Nigeria and wahala
Similar incidences have been uncovered in madrasahs in North where sheiks lock up children in dungeons. Has Muric ever called for intervention from Abuja?
This man need a public humiliation to restrain his fanatism.
I might know nothing to challenge someone like Fashola, but him making a statement such as "building infrastructures is the way to legitimately distribute wealth in an economy."...like seriously? Do Nigerians throw away common sense when it comes to politics?
Like, for example, how many people did the second Niger bridge employ, and where are they today? As opposed to refining diesel, or a steel plant producing steel and constantly employing common Nigerians for decades and decades?
He talked about how infrastructure automatically increases the demand for the materials used in building them. He forgot to mention how short-lived this demand is. Worse of all, we all know that we import the steel and our diesel!
I think watching this video of Fashola today has made me a die hard OBIdient tbfh. Obi is like a million steps ahead of these guys in thinking productively.
I mean, how about you work on producing your steel and diesel before thinking about Infrastructure? He spoke about millions of litres of diesel, tons and tons of steel used for that Niger bridge, etc. Any smart person who sees the bigger picture will easily see how 'building infrastructure' in our current setting easily translates to consumption (since we'll be importing the lot of skills and materials!)
Isn't it obvious that production can easily translate to building infrastructure if prioritised in a country like Nigeria?
Prioritising production is like killing a thousand birds with one stone.
My f#*g opinion though.
Hhmmm....ol boy calm down!
Fashola is correct. Infrastructures bring earning power and empower communities.
The example you used is 2nd niger bridge. The reason communities around 2nd niger bridge did not profit from employment is because they lacked insight and knowledge about empowerement. They sealed off access to the construction site and intimidated workers to force contractors and government into a omonile deal. They received compensation as pay off to allow work to begin. Similar thing happened at Enugu airport.
Meanwhile to see how infrastructure empower communities go to sorrounding villages in the Lagos FTZ. Check with workforce in the Lagos Atlantic City.
Infrastructure is an empowerement for building and redistributing wealth.
DaddyFreeze2020: “My Dad made Lagos more comfortable for Igbos but they choose to be ungrateful”
“The conducive environment you see today in Lagos that Igbos are enjoying while doing their businesses were put in place by my father Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu.
“These people left their home town and we accepted them wholeheartedly in Lagos State, provided all they needed yet they are not grateful. Instead they keep attacking my father at any slightest opportunity.
“Without this man, there will be nothing like Igbos in Lagos State. They made their Billions here. Some of them don’t even know their hometown anymore because they now prefer Lagos than where they are coming from.
“Now, it’s time for them to reciprocate the kind gesture my father has shown to them over the years by supporting his Presidential ambition, they now resort to blackmail and all sorts of attacks on the person that made them whim they are in Lagos State today.
“They locked up their shops just to get their PVCs something that has never happened before just because my father is contesting for the President of this country. Simply because they don’t want him.
“We have tolerated their excesses for so long now, therefore the earlier we put them in their position, the better. We are watching them closely because if you are Rome, you must respect, adore and support the culture of the Romans and whatever they are doing. You can’t be in Rome and be against the Romans. Never!”
~ Folasade Mujidat Tinubu Ojo
I endorse this message. Same thing Igbokwe told them. Without Lagos yanminri has no success to boast of.
Divide zoo so every animal can manage his own cage.
babasolution: The Yoruba fascinations about LAGOS or Ibadan is a costly development strategy I think.
The Yoruba are not developing their rural areas at all, they are fixated on only the cities.
This attitude is even reflected in Lagos were the more traditional Yoruba areas are neglected while the city proper is constantly developing.
The Yoruba have this attitude of copying the Europeans alot which is a big weakness in my opinion. They want to be like the whitemans, have big cities, but they struggling to achieve it which is costing them a heavy and serious neglect of their rural areas. This is probably why Yoruba villages and local towns are grossly undeveloped.
Yorubas should engage more in rural investment, attract it's people back to their local towns and villages.
More investment should be put into rural areas in southwest.
The nigerdeltans are also very guilty of this too
Ogbuefi, you crack me up with this post.
I thought yanminri developed Lagos. What stops you from developing our rural areas for us? Infact, that's why we left it undeveloped....waiting for chukuemeka to invite his clan from Iboland to come and develop our villages.
ariesbull: In 2019, after the news broke out that Orji Uzor Kalu was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment, hundreds of Aba residents danced and celebrated on the streets of Aba Shopping Centre and along Park Road Aba.
Recently, many Igbo people online have been happy that Rochas Okorocha is being prosecuted by EFCC. Many Igbo people have been ridiculing him and lauding the EFCC.
When the EFCC first arrested George Turner in 2017 for 4 Billion Naira NDDC fraud and embezzlement; hundreds of Yenagoa Aro-mates and Icelanders surrounded the office of EFCC in Yenagoa until an Ijaw EFCC official came out and explained how George Turner impoverished them.
When Mohammed Abacha was released by then President Obasanjo after he was charged for money laundering and robbery of public funds; thousands of Kano youths went to the Airport to welcome him. Many of these youths were so poor they came on barefoot and others had no shirt on.
This was the same reception James Ibori received in Delta State after he was released from prison for massively looting the treasury of Delta State. Till date, Delta is one of the less developed state in the oil rich Southsouth, despite being among top earners of Federal Allocation and oil derivation fund.
If you think Igbo people are supporting Peter Obi out of ethnic or regional sentiments, bring either Andy Uba, Ararume, Okezie Ikpeazu or Theodore Orji let's see how many Igbo people would tell you to vote any of these people because Power must come to Southeast by crook or fraudsters.
Allah Kaduna Nzeogwu Facebook post
You do know Kalu was in prison when Igbo people voted for him to become governor.
If Igbo politicians support Atiku, they are applauded by igbos? See how Igbo delegates and governors worked for Atiku? See Orji Uzor and Lawan?
If Hausa Politicians support Igbo or Yoruba, nobody bats an eyelid because Hausas don’t insult people for political choices.
If yoruba politicians support Igbo or Hausa politicians, yorubas don’t mind.
But if Igbo politician support Yoruba politicians, igbos term such Efulefu and strip him of respect?
Why do igbos feel comfortable supporting other tribes except yorubas? Why do igbos hate yorubas so much?
Ibos were never civilized prior to colonists entering their midst but they are impressionable White man brought bible to them but Ajayi Crowther taught it to them. The bible first taught them to abolish their jungle manners. Then something else happened, exposure to people with civilized traditions.
They first went to North as laborers on the railroad. The first generation of Ibos migrating to give live in cities settled in Zungeru. This happened around 1920.
The second wave of Ibo migrants to live in cities left Zungeru to live in Lagos. Ibo has never seen a city as urban and socially diverse as Lagos. He lost his mind in Lagos and sent message home to his people to pack up and come to Lagos. Lagos opened Ibo to civilization. At best, his civilization is still crude because he is rooted atill in the jungle mannerisms and ethos.
