hello guys, please i stay in Indianapolis and i was wondering if anyone stays in this area. also if anyone has an idea when a GC will come in or has a contact (telephone no) to the immigration.thanks. i would also like to kn what steps to take.

thank you so much for the reply, but how long does the GC take to arrive because the immigration officer at the airport told me 4 months. does that mean i have to be idle till my GC comes in. thanks as i await reply.

If you've paid the USCIS fee before you left Nigeria and have gotten your receipt, all you have to do is to wait for your GC in the mail. While waiting you can go start processing your SSN, your host can put you through on this. Also, you can go through the driver's practice test on the internet. It is well.

First of all, I want 2 Thank GOD who made it possible, my family & frnds and nairalanders for their honest advise, U̶̲̥̅̊ guys are d best.
I can honestly say I had the shortest interview. So it goes this way, I got 2 the embassy at abt 6:20 am for my 7 am appointment. After all the necessary security check point we were ushered in2 d waiting area. I made my payment for $330 @ d rate of N165 then submitted my documents & sat down. At Abt 11:37Am my no was beeped. So this was hw it went;
CO: Are U̶̲̥̅̊ .....?
ME: Yes
CO: Raise up ur right hand, do U̶̲̥̅̊ promise 2 tell d truth & nothing but the truth.
ME: Yes
CO: pls take ur finger print
CO: have U̶̲̥̅̊ bin denied visa b4?
Me: yes
CO: in ur last application U̶̲̥̅̊ were a student & are U̶̲̥̅̊ still 1?
ME: Yes
CO: wt school & wt course?
ME: .... Sch & .... Course
CO: pls explain ur curriculum?

hey please, what if the npc certificate i got is for minors........because i got mine when i was 10years of age, do i stll need the letter of attestion. and if i cant gt it b4 my interview date will i hv an issue at the embassy. thanks

Gentiger: I will always recommend NPC issued birth certificate. You need a birth certificate that will serve you beyond visa processing. It was until I arrived the US before I realized most agencies I had dealings with ONLY recognized NPC issued birth certificate. If you can get it along with What you presently got, go to the embassy with both. As always, the embassy will take the PREFERRED, which is NPC and return the other one to you. It doesn't mean What you got won't be accepted at the embassy, but think beyond your visa application to the reality of living in America.

Pls concerning the npc birth certificate, mine was collected in year 2000 & has no signature @ d back or a passport photograph & its on a paper not really A4. Wud that b an issue on the day of interview?

Make sure ur interview documents are all VALID and u will scale tru. * did u ever mail KCC concerning ur submitted documents?* if yes and the reply was *your form was acceptable for further processing* then go prepare for interview and come share ur experience here!

I nid ur advise, I did not include the town of my university in the dv form that said one should state places lived for than 6months after 16years. I didn't know I was 2 include my uni town/province. Do u thing the CO wud bring it up?

junkerhill: it is usually advised to be done 2-3weeks to your interview so as not to expire before your travel because it lasts only for 6months

U are suppose to get the police report @ Alagbon police station Ikoyi for 5,000 naira. & d police certificate u have is the right one. No nid 2 worry. U can pay in Nigeria currency or dollars. Any1 is preferable.

Tiwalad: Hi everyone,my interview is fast approaching. I would like to make an enquiry about the police certificate. I went to Ikeja Area F for it. I was charged 10k and eventually was given a small red document which read "police character certificate" and a long white sheet which contained my fingerprints.Please are these the right documents? Also regarding the application fees should I change it to dollars and take it along with me or how is it done? I would appreciate a prompt response....Thanks all.
