My brother you arey guy try not to make your sense of reasoning be the only reason to follow, a Nokia 105 can't be compared to an iPhone 7, same way that vintage rolls Royce can't be compared to the Toyota Crown of its time. That cat the emir drove is more than 50 years and still drives smoothly. If you know what that feels you won't make the argument you are making.

PS : emir Sanusi isn't my guy, like I would say of Donald Duke, GEJ, oladipo diya, Murray Bruce and Co, I just love the car. Vintage gives you prestige and class which humans by nature desire.
Dr Dre and Monster Headphones created a billion dollar company that sold low quality headphones at an inflated price to millions of fools. This vehicle is just another example of the same scam. Sanusi is in good company of overpaying for garbage.

Most motorists would prefer a low maintenance vehicle with modern amenities such as air conditioning, Sat-Nav, power steering and power locking.

Nike sell shoes that cost $20 to make for $200 - $300.

There are several other examples of consumers being duped into overpaying for products because of marketing, labels and other tricks of the trade. Calling something 'vintage' is one such example.

Price does to automatically equate to quality. Nor does "vintage".

You are not qualified to speak on that which 'human beings desire'. Humans have a number of basic needs, 'vintage' goods isn't one of them.

P.S.
How do you know that the car still drives 'smoothly'? Do you know how much he has to pay to maintain such a vehicle?

that ugly car is far more expensive than today's fancy cars
Price is no indicator of quality or function.

Retailers can afford to sell overpriced goods because there will always be fools like Sanusi who will overpay for them.

NIgeria as a nation in a tropical environment is always going to be a more challenging environment to build in that Japan. This is true in the south, the north is something else.

That is the most obvious difference.

Before we even get to the socio-economic and political differences.

Japan as a nation is several hundred years. 'Nigeria' is barely fifty.

This is why sex education should be compulsory from the age of ten and why abortion should be legalized.

Who benefits from keeping abortion illegal?

Who benefits from keeping young people ignorant about their own bodies?

What exactly have IPOB done to be lumped in with Boko Haram?

Buhari, your country is Guinea. Futa Djallon, to be precise.

Please leave Nigeria alone, you and your kin have done enough damage and misappropriated enough money for 1000 lifetimes.
Business › Re: Nigerains Are Suffering, Poverty Is The Reason Behind Kidnapping- Dangote by mmsen:
Bolustic:
Poverty will not end without a successful onslaught against corruption.

Check Transparency International ranking of least corrupt countries and see if they are poor. Singapore is the fifth least corrupt country according to the TI ranking besides it boasts the highest millionaires(in USD) per capita in the world, the third largest seaports in the world not to talk of its world class educational standards.

All these did not just happen with magic, it took Lee Kew Yuan around 31 years (1959-1990) to change Singapore from a Third World to First World. Read this link http://www.straitstimes.com/opinion/fight-against-corruption-singapores-experience,

Unfortunately, most of us are selfish, thinking about what we will eat today, what about posterity.

We need to kill corruption or it will kill us

Saying that you can kill corruption is as silly as claiming that you will end crime or eradicate all viruses.

You can mitigate against the human need to cut corners and take advantage of power but you will never end the practice.

You can make it more difficult and you can increase the consequences of such crimes.

Nigeria's problem isn't corruption as much as it is the attachment to ridiculous, irresponsible cultural habits - first of which is the obsession with procreation at all costs. The pressure that people put married couples under to have children makes so sense at all. Nigeria has millions of unemployed young people and huge infrastructure deficit and yet there are people in Nigeria pressuring their children, in-laws to start breeding with abandon.

It is this cultural norm that has lead to an increase in the number of desperate, corruptible individuals.
Business › Re: Nigerains Are Suffering, Poverty Is The Reason Behind Kidnapping- Dangote by mmsen:
The reason why 100 from 187 million are languishing in poverty is because of the destructive culture, lifestyle and values espoused by the likes of Sanusi et. al who engage in impregnating four (or more women) with several children. Meanwhile most of the people who seek to emulate this lifestyle can only just about take care of themselves.

Until Nigerians stop breeding recklessly they will keep crying about their self-induced poverty.

That happened under your said watch because your eyes were blinded by the following things my dear ex-presido:
-Your deep and profound cluelessness which was obviously noticeable during the various cases of clear korokoro daylight corruption involving your cronies that you waved aside.
-That Ogogoro, Sapele water, vodka, whiskey, champagne and other strong drinks that drive u to a state of stupor after serious consumption. How could you even look at the news headlines or what Nigerians were facing in such a State?
-Mama piss who was causing one problem or the other which clearly showed that you couldn't even manage your Wife in the first place. How could u manage an ordinary LGA, not to talk of Nigeria.
-Your numerous concubines that u gave free hands to rob us blind and blind again even u inclusive to the extent that your couldn't tell the difference between corruption and stealing anymore.

Need I say more reasons why you couldn't jail anyone during your reign?

In summary, you are the weakest of them all, even your gentle demeanour tells it all - scared Tom. Afraid of taking the bull by the horn. Even the sick president we had was stronger than you were.
People like you, those obsessed with heavy handed political leaders are the reason why Africa is the way that it is.

Reason and logic are your natural enemies.

The natural course of events suggests people grow wiser as they grow older- why in Jesus' gracious name does that seem like a fallacy when some people are involved??

They are upset because the money would come from other sources where they have quite limited access. What does it matter if government or private investors' money is being used to, say, construct a road?? No be the same road e go still be?? "Through NDDC" my foot!!

The same NDDC that was only able to complete just about 12% of it's projects over 5years while they had already made payments of approximately 80% to contractors!!

These elders are the major beneficiaries of the sleaze going on in such places, hence their insistence that monies meant for the region be channelled through them. The so called elders of the region are the worst enemies of that region.
NDDC is a thoroughly useless organization.

Something I've noticed from driving around AKS and CRS is that NDDC projects, when completed, are always done to a much lower standard than state government initiated works.

I agree with you 100%

Southern politician are only concerned about self alone

While the northern part think of there immediate

environment and the north at large

Another problem the southern part of the country is

facing is the rivalry among different ethnic group
While it seems that the North is more unified they only seem to come together to commit crimes against their own people.

They don't come together to build schools or universities for their fast growing population.

I hope the people of that region wake up one day and realize that it is their traditional and political leaders who are their greatest enemies.

But Ayade being a professor should understand better that you don't solve unemployment by increasing the cost of governance.
Rather you reduce govermental cost and pump more money into the private sector.
An empowered private sector is the way forward.

RZArecta:
Like I've always been advocating, states should push for a sort of regional high speed rail network. Finance won't be a problem ie states/world bank/AfDB and even private investors so its not much of an excuse. The only thing that stands in the way now is the railway corporation being under the FG but I believe legislation can be amended for the greater good of the country. Once again, great development
This is one of the many ways in which the constitution and the false federalism practised in Nigeria is a hindrance. Besides creating a system in which resources are taken from the south to be squandered by the north it creates a barrier to common sense solutions such as effective state or regional railways, police and prisons.
