Nigeria has done no good thing for me to wish them good. We are not going to world cup come 2018. Mark my word.

If your cows find themselves on an airport runway then they should all be confiscated.
Family › Re: They Both Died Because Of His Casanova Lifestyle. by mmsen: 10:37pm On Nov 11, 2016
What that man did is evil.

But it comes from being in an environment where people are told all manner of lies about healthcare and sex.

We must teach our children about the importance of safe sexual relations so that they stop making the same mistakes as their forebears. Anyone who suggests that it is wrong to teach wrong people about safe sexual relations is consigning another generation to an epidemic of needless, premature death.
Politics › Re: Fashola: Oil Prices Drove Nigeria’s Growth Under Jonathan’s – NOT His Policies by mmsen:

You should be knowledgeable enough to know the meaning of "we all".
@topic,
Only the genuinely ignorant ones and those blinded by hatred, bigotry and ethnicity will dispute the fact that high crude price was the only reason GEJ was able to record any growth.

The moment oil price crashed to $75 pb, they started borrowing money to pay workers salaries.
That's nonsense because the other areas of economic activity grew - telecommunications, banking, transport, education.

Which is why it is so difficult to make sense of the utter destruction of Nigeria under Bubu the Fool. How is it possible that a sector that is only 15% the economy ignites economic regression when the price of that one commodity drops? What happened to the other 85%?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Homosexuality Wrong? by mmsen: 5:39pm On Nov 11, 2016
Lennycool:
What are you even saying.
So you believe homosexuals should hide their orientation forever, just because you don't like seeing them?
The question is why should your feelings be more important than those of another human?
Especially when their actions don't hurt you in anyway.
Where did I mention homosexuals?

I said that individuals have the freedom to keep their sexuality to themselves.

Where did I say that I have a problem with seeing 'them'?

Where did I mention my 'feelings'?

The reality is that whoever you are someone is going to dislike something about you. You cannot legislate against personal sentiment but you can attempt to mitigate against discrimination based upon involuntary traits by way of legal mechanisms and education.

That however does not negate the need to show personal restraint, your personal business should be kept private.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Homosexuality Wrong? by mmsen: 5:22pm On Nov 11, 2016
Lennycool:
I said the discrimination was the same.
Racism can be compared to homophobia
It can't and it isn't.

What you do in your bedroom (with a consenting human adult) is your business - it can and should be kept to one's self.

Your ethnic heritage can be seen from across the street. There is no hiding place.

No comparison whatsoever.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Homosexuality Wrong? by mmsen: 5:06pm On Nov 11, 2016
Lennycool:
I already said that already. Race is visible while homosexuality isn't. Homophobia and racism are the same in every other aspect.
Then they are nothing alike. Sexuality is personal and can be kept private. You can't keep 'race' private.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Homosexuality Wrong? by mmsen: 2:52pm On Nov 11, 2016
Lennycool:
Black people marrying white people was considered(in some part still is) offensive to other white people. Is it wrong?

Black people going to the same school with white people was once considered offensive, is it wrong?

Black people seating on the same bus with white people was considered offensive, is it wrong?

Homophobia and racism are exactly the same thing.
Homophobia and racism are far from being 'the same thing', someone has brainwashed you into believing that nonsense.

Sexuality is not immediately apparent, unlike 'race'/ethnicity which is.

i'm confused, they came all the way from Algeria with their own pillows. Naija boys pls trash them 3-0 for this nonsense.
People often carry extra pillows on plane flights.

Nothing unusual in that regard. the difference here is that you can purchase specially designed travel pillows that curve around the neck instead of regular bedroom pillows.

If these guys are at Le Meridien then where are the Super Eagles staying?

Why didn't a group of patriotic Nigerians book all of the hotel rooms in town and then have an enterprising fellow set up some tents for our dear visitors?

Do other nations deny the Super Eagle's entry when they are playing a game in that country?

Which serious country is so petty as to deny visas to football teams?

It's for the coach to decide who looks sharpest in training but it would be nice to see him progress to the first team.

Dino Melaye is a clown and a tout in the same vein as Amaechi.

I don't know why Nigerians waste any time talking about him or are surprised at his antics.

If there was a campaign to permanently remove him from the political arena then I would be fully behind it.

The unitary system has entrenched a system that rewards laziness.

There is little incentive to be productive which is why the majority of states have human and material resources which they refuse to make use of.

Mind you those companies you called out have got tons of staffs on their payroll if they don't play them you would call them slave drivers.
My point here is every human desires some form prestige which is only define by them, some in the number of cattle they have, some in the number of Ferrari they own viz sultan of brunei or Mayweather loves for bugatti. A low maintenance car is still very cheaply made.
Your point of calling buyers of beats by Dre fools, doesn't make Toyota or Nissan drivers not fools as well because an average corrola cost about 9-10 k to build but sold for 16k dollars or more. We live in a world where man's value attachment to stuffs rule.
PS : I am very sure you would also say tecno L3 is way better than a samsung galaxy J7
Toyota and Nissan are value for money when you compare them to the competition. That is all you can do when trying to determine which products are over priced.

I called those who purchase Beats by Dre fools because compared to the competition they are drastically over priced. Even their top-of-the-line headphones sound poor next to the similar products from a lower price bracket.

I cannot pass comment on Tecno because I've never used their products but there are other manufacturers who sell phones that are (at least) equal to those sold by Samsung yet cost 25% less.
