Very good,

But what is so wrong with Goddy setting up a kidney centre of excellene, bring some of those top doctors from India to work and train our doctors and nurses. This centre should be able to look after 500 in-patients and a thousand more out-paitients.

I bet you this is achievable with 50B naira (£200 million), same amout some have been accused of stealing.

We just havent got our priorities right.

I would even have favoured sure a plan that spending in excess of 100B Naira on a flawed useless voters register which in my opinion should have cost far less.

Well, this is just another rubbish. Why did they not arrest Uduaghan when he was kicked out of office for fruadulently occupying government house in Delta state , and making off with 10 times that amount.

Efcc is just a bloody joke
PoliticsRe: Corruption In Bayelsa State by monkeyleg: 10:52am On Feb 11, 2011
My Brother,

I understand your annoyance, but that does not mean we must throw civility out of the door. if we call Goddy all the awful names under the sun, I wonder what we expect from outsiders.

We must be careful the way we treat our own.

I do accept that he has not done well, and I do get irritated when his 3 monekys defend the indefencible, but we must all show some restraint.

Believe me, I am not a Goodluck Jonathan fan, but I wont be party to this public lynching, especially when we are going to start calling our own President a Swindler

There are more suble ways to go about this, and believe me I am not suggesting for one bit that he shouldnt be taken to task, neither am I going to be voting for him.
PoliticsRe: Corruption In Bayelsa State by monkeyleg: 10:31am On Feb 11, 2011
Whilst I agree that Nigerians have every right to ask questions, I think we should all be mature and tone down the sort of language we use against Goodluck. To say a sitting President Swindled money from Nigerians is a very strong word to use, especially when no one has concrete evidence.

That doesnt mean, points should not be made, but in a more subtle, responsible way.

I am not Goddies biggest fan, but I still think we should accord him some respect

You might not have a good picture of how Nigeria works. Have you ever been into the printing and minting sections of CBN, or any part for that matter? Or the various govt agric parastatals, or NNPC, or ministry of defence?

Walking into most of these places is like walking into a Dubai banking advert, reading through the names of the folk there is like walking up a patronage ladder, and dude, believe me you come across the very same names over and over again. And these are names that are exist in the peak of splendour, sorrounded by a sea of almajiri's, dicease and underdevelopment. Yes, there are people who actually own you, and don't give a damn about our country, they don't even give a damn if their own people live or die; do you actually want to be free?
Yes I have see what you are talking about, and I understand where you are going with this, but that is not entirely responsible for the state of country. How do you then account for things not working @ state level, or should we be blaming these guys as well?

The problem is everywhere, and I would be very cautious in thinking that your solution is likely to bring sunlight to everything.

More effective in my view, let us start by holding our local reps and governors responsible

Ibori and Uduaghan are together the worst thing to have happened to Delta state, however this is not their thread
I understand, but I was trying to make a point that Simply hedging your hopes on destabilizing a group of old fogees, is not necessarily the begining and end of the troubles in Nigeria, and should not be seen as a major victory as some are looking to claim.

However, I do recognise the work Goddy has done in tackling those who do not wish Nigerians well

The dismantling of this cabal is Nigeria's greatest problem, they form the main artery for corruption and backwardness to flourish. They are a hegemony that holds the nation by the jugular in all the most important areas; fortunately GEJ, out of vision and necessity, is well primed and placed as their nemesis. Already, they have been kicked out of the fuel supply chain, they are getting kicked out of electricity, and agriculture should follow soon; also, their almajiri troops are getting educated by GEJ. The process of the cabals bloodless dismemberment MUST be completed.

Once the cabal is gone, every other impediment to our socio-economic progress and development will fall like a pack of cards; Nigeria will begin to move in great leaps and bounds, we will become the next China (already we are the 3rd fastest growing economy, but the common man does not feel it).
The cabal needs to be scattered for Nigeria to progress and all their attempts to halt the April elections or fix themselves in Buhari's camp must be scuttled.
Beaf, U don come again. I have asked a simple question whether you feel that the cabal are responsible for the lack of prgress in Nigeria, as you stated above, and I am simply saying that is not the case. Are the cabals responsible for the lack of development @ state levels? are they the ones who have encouraged untold corruption?

You are simply implying that they are the begining and end of all our troubles and your Bros Goddy is our saviour.

Please give facts and expand on why you think that is the case
PoliticsRe: North In Fresh Moves To Stop Jonathan by monkeyleg: 1:37pm On Feb 10, 2011
@Beaf,

Is your suggestion that all member of the cabal that have set us back (in your own words), all from the North? I am just trying to gauge your thoughts here.

Whilst I would agree that there are the greedy wicked few who have made giant dents in Nigeria's progress, I do not accept that explains the entire picture.

What do you say about the unspeakable corrupting and grand theft that has plagued my state (delta) for the past 12yrs, are you claiming that Ibori and Uduaghan are part of the cabal?

My worry is that your analogy is just too plain simplistic to be taken whole.

And by the way if you really need to help your master, give facts, raw facts that we can all digest.

I am happy to be a miserable wretch as you call me, but I dont need to explain to my kids like you are going to be forced to tell them that you sold them into slavery for 1000 Naira.

The good people of Nigeria and Delta state will be free from thieving politicians and supporters of thieving politicians like you

@Monkeyleg,
U're a pathetic lout and you've never betrayed those that chose to raise you without the most basic of morals or a shred of decency. Your campaign of calaumny and falsity is nothing but a reflection of the sty where u were raised with lies and filth permitted to be discharged from the four wide corners of your mouth. I feel sorry for the one you actually have to bear his name.
Look at this Fat Sprog of dog Spunk talking. Did you not say that your Grandmother and you took 1000 naira to vote for that Thief Uduaghan? Did you not say that on this site?

Like I said, you have sold your soul to the Devil, so you lack all moral authority to critisize anyone, so just hide your head in shame (that is if you know the meaning of the word), and in the future explain to your kids why you sold their future off for 1000 naira

At least, I have never had to take money from anyone to bend my conscience. I vote for the truth

Pat Utomi is a more recognizable figure in Lagos state than he is in Delta State, Outside Ibusa -I stand to be corrected -, he's just another Chris Okotie doing what He's always done. As appealing as he is to a certain segment of the Educated class (which is like a very generous 2%), He's a political nonentity not only in his homestate but also in his COUNTRY. Deal with it.
How dare you lecture and critisize people on politics, were you not the same heartless gutter snipe prepared to take 1000 naira to sell your soul to the devil and vote PDP.

Were you not the same person who backed that Thief Uduaghan? You really lack any moral authority to open your mouth and speak or has the 1000 naira finished?
PoliticsRe: The Ideal Candidate Is Pat Utomi by monkeyleg: 9:38pm On Feb 09, 2011

PoliticsRe: Chris Okoties Declares His Presidential Bid For April 2011 Elections by monkeyleg: 10:25pm On Feb 08, 2011
But why not? Who are those contesting more qualified than he is.

the problem with we nigerians, is that even when we see decent candidate, we dismiss then . Nigeria is like the house wife who suffers domestic violence, but keeps coming back for more.

First it was Pat Utomi, una say he cant win in Nigeria

Second it was donald duke, some say he sank his state into debt

Then Buhari, una say the man eye no clear, say im no like Christians

Nuhu ribadu, Una call am obj attack dog

Even Aunty Sarah Jubril, una say make she leae politics go seel pepper for market

Even Johnny boy, That one una say e lazy, no get common sense, and im fear pass woman wrapper.

When man start to wear woman skirt dey talk any how, without common sense, na big problem be that.

This whole system has been rubbish from day 1, why doesnt the government just fess-up and let the poor Nigerians know that nthey have been duped once again by a careless, wasteful government.

I cannot understand, why so late in the day we are buying extra software. Who Specd out this whole project from the start. I maintain that Nigerians have been short-changed amd people should be sacked

Beaf, you need to grow up. Are u this daft. How can you be calling people names simply because they asked you to tell them what makes people like you and other goodluck apologist like GEJ so much that you can sacrifice your manhood to make sure he wins the election. People deserve the right to know OK?
Afam4eva,

How can you be surprised at someone who once refered to himself as a Political Pygmy.

I keep telling people that Beaf gets paid for his insanity, there is no other rational explaination for his strange behaviour. I bet you if GEJ sheet for church, Beaf will be here defending him.

Grow up. If you read my complete post, you would have picked up comments which suggest I have nothing against Goodluck as a person. I also wished him well if he did succeed. It is in no ones interest if Goodluck fails, and so far the signs do not look encouraging
PoliticsRe: Let's Give GEJ A Chance by monkeyleg: 9:03pm On Feb 04, 2011
@Afam4eva,

believe me when I say, I keep searching for reasons to support Goodluck. Sentimentally my heart lies there, and this is purely because he is from ND, but must I allow setiments cloud my judgement.

I am still not convinced that Goodluck means well, especially as he openly endoresed and supported Uduaghan. Is goodluck telling us that he doesnt know the evil Ibori and Uduaghan commited in Delta state?

But like I keep saying, if he wins I wish him well
