Orinkinla, I think you should write places you know well,if a murder took place in an apartment block and the janitor goes missing it makes your Perfect Assasin the Perfect Suspect. You just can't walk into any apartment block and apply to be the janitor,its takes some getting used,the manager has to introduce you to the residents and the building manager would have some background information on you for security reasons. I really don't get you!.You really think you can tell British and American Intel Officers how to to their job? I love to see Nigerians defend the indefensible,it just proves that despite all our claim of holiness we still find excuses why a Nigerian should not be punished.For an educated woman who had lived for 18 years in the US to claim ignorance is a big joke and for anyone to believe her is worse. Last year,Wayne Rooney's girlfriend Colleen was detained at Manchester Airport for failing to declare that she brought back so many clothes from her trip to New York without paying VAT on them,and thats just bringing back to many clothes!,same thing happened to Carol Thatcher when she failed to declare that she had jewelery worth more £10,000 in her bag. |

She was given a three year suspended sentence (probation),if it was her first offense then she is unlikely to go to jail.She would probably have got her money back if she could prove the source of it.Western Nations actually implement their laws unlike Nigeria,the big question is how did she leave the shores of Nigeria with so much cash?I thought Nigerian security agents are supposed to stop all these stuff.Carring large amount of cash is what criminals do because it moves from hand to hand leaving to traces at least in developed countries |

Its time people start reading the story properly before shouting "Oyibo this and Oyibo that" "but ordered to forfeit the amount in cash that she failed to declare after landing at Detroit Metro Airport last August enroute from Nigeria to Texas.". The story clearly stated that she arrived in Detroit Metro Airport from NIGERIA!.The nurse actually left Nigeria for Texas with $92,000.She wasn't taking the money back home,the money left Nigeria for the US. How many nurses or doctors in Nigeria have that kind of money to take to texas or any other place?I think she was laundering the money for a Nigerian big man. |

@Lawyers, I think you can post start in the crime section by telling members here what the laws says about the various crime thread posted in that section,then people who have heard s brush with the law or have been in court before would share their experience,I have a few to share. Q1. Why do Nigerian Lawyers insist on the title BARRISTER;I live in Ireland and they have similar system with Nigeria but no lawyer here or in the UK is called Barrister Dublin Ireland? BTW,how many Lawyers visit this site anyway? |

I will reserve my opinion about the situation in the Niger Delta as my opinion would be offensive but I will however deal issue of government being Virtual Entity.If government are Virtual Entity then arms of government,corrupt senators,judges,police,vice governors,billions of dollars stolen from the niger delta are all Virtual because Nigeria is also a Virtual Entity.Army massacre in Odi and other places in Nigeria are were also Virtual,those who died are all virtual,killed by virtual army sent by virtual government. @Pmdaboh, There is nothing wrong in being Self Critical,the worst thing you can do is to bury your head in the sand,wish the problem goes away or worst blame someone else.Nigerians are coming to the realization of admitting the wrongs going on our country rather than sweep it under the carpet like what older generation did.
