PositiveDirect: That is the question. Should we be free to go out like this on Monday? My friend, the Government is not tying rope to anyone's neck to drag him/her out of the house. You are very free to stay lockdown in your house for as long as you want. You don't need to create unnecessary fears for people! |

They are making billions of naira everyday from this. They have to keep making the cases higher than the norm so that the cash keep flowing into the account. Wake up Nigerians GBAM! |

Why has NCDC stopped releasing the names of the people that died of Coronavirus. In the beginning they gave the names, ages and location of deaths recorded. Now they only give numbers and NO names to deaths. NCDC should be more transparent in this matter. People are losing confidence in their operations! |

MrNipplesLover: all this na format just to make some of us feel somehow excited that this lockdown is for just a week.
NCDC will. continue updating more cases and this will make the FG to extend the lockdown further after serving this 1-week lockdown.
inside life. NCDC plans have failed. The State Governors will decide what is best for their states from the 4th of May. |

RaptObserver: Why wait till Monday? Why not tomorrow? He wanted to extend it by a week so that it will not appear like the governors are deciding for him. But does it matter? He didn't address the fact that security agents on the highways are collecting bribes and aiding people who re violating the transborder lockdown. If he doesn't call them out nothing will change. The President did not want to demoralise or offend the NCDC people who badly wanted the lockdown extension for as long as possible. At the same time, he needed to please the Governors who wanted a relaxed lockdown and an Inter-State travel ban immediately. So the President took a middle ground to please both parties. Whether or not the President knew that the NCDC wanted the indefinite extension for selfish reasons is left to conjecture! |

And if the rate is as high as people are saying why are we not dying in hundreds as seen in Europe and US. I think we need to remove fear and look for ways to fortify our immune system. It will come and go. Cheers Very sensible submission! |
