BrightAhiah:Lol one thing is for sure govt cannot impose another total lockdown. What made the previous lockdown successful was the fear of the virus but Nigerians no longer fear the virus. |
DuBLINGreenb:Let me guess, you're igbo. Well, we the yoruba care cos this is one of the many lies spread by igbos to sow the seed of disunity among yorubas. How can you Father be igbo and your surname is Onasanjo. Only idiotic people spread and believe this kinda rumour. |
Nbotee:A movement cannot be Person of the year though. But good move recognising the effort of the youth in fighting the political system. Though it ended badly, it's impact remains a source of hope as we galvanize our strength towards the 2023 elections. |
Beckysexy:Have you seen Davido's tweet? "I go leave this music for una." How will you explain that if it's fake news? |
IamWonderful:Scamdemic. I like that. Covid-19 is only real on the news. I keep telling people- Turn off your TV and stop watching CNN and voila, no pandemic at all. |
thesicilian:Lol The irony carry weight. |
oyatz:Personal opinion. He really has no business running for presidency in the coming elections if he wants to retain the respect he still has. He's on a long tin if he things he stands a chance. He should just maintain his "king-maker" role. |
Authority1o1:If you've ever been lied against, you'll appreciate her opinion. Not so long ago some guy committed suicide because he was falsely accused of rape by some bitter girl he refused to date. Wise people consider not only the pros of any issue but also consider the cons. |
TooMuchStuff:I don't support politics on the pulpit so I would have thought he woud address this at a press conference or so. His points are quite valid. 1. Tinubu is a force that has helped stabilize the yoruba race. 2. People with devious motives are trying so pathetically hard to tarnish the man's image just to destabilize he yoruba race. 3. No matter how hard they try, either for political or ethnic motives, they have failed and will continue to fail. 4. While Tinubu has no business contesting for presidency, his space as yoruba leader is well appreciated and respected. 5. His role in giving yoruba race some level of unity cannot be underscored. Unlike the disunity in some other tribes/races in the country. 6. Pastor Tunde Bakare should really desist preaching politics on the pulpit but stick to his calling. If truly God wants a pastor president, he'll orchestrate it. That said, I really hope the uncouth will know that tarnishing Tinubu's image is a disservice to Yorubas, and being orchestrated by a certain ethno-political sect of people. |
kenzysmith:Your lack of intelligence is almost mythical. Can't imagie anyone still thinks as low as you. |
Nazgul:Have you considered how many other women he has sent that same message too and were grateful he did? Truth is there's a lot of craziness in this generation. There are so many babes who would find that message seductive. Unfortunately dude misfired to the wrong client. |
Nigerian journalists and poor journalism. No details of the condition of his release. Was ransome paid to the abductors for their release? Who paid? PFN or FG?+ If kidnap business has become this lucrative in Nigeria why won't bandits and terrorists keep increasing? |

God's favour and goodness is regardless of holiness or righteousness. It is to all men. He blesses sinners and the righteous alike. Abraham came from an idolatry home, yet he experienced God's favor and became God's friend. Moses was as unholy as can be in Egypt yet he experienced God's favor. There are even several psalms about God prospering the wicked and unjust. Of course there are certain favors that God will choose those who are holy but not all his favours are towards only holy people. |
general111:Why are you making excuses for them? MBAForex has never at any point claimed their inability to pay was as a result of govt limitation. Their claim is that it is due to their merger with a software coy. What is interesting is how they keep postponing doomsday. At first they told their investors the delay is btw 14-21 days, when the date came, the postponed it to a month. When that came, they claimed that only investors that have been verified on their new online platform are being paid. When people started updating their online accounts now they're claiming January If this isnt another MMM, I wonder why it is looking very much like it. |
Belexy95:A proof of payment won't be too much to ask. Mind sharing? Of course clear any personal details you don't want to share. |
Omo Baba in the news again. We will be waiting to hear your own side of the story Seun. There are 3 sides to every story, His side, Their side and the TRUTH! But the TRUTH will always prevail at the end of it all. Point of correction : His father actually, not grandfather.
Tell that to Fathers who raised the children of their adulterous wives. Or mothers who never knew their husbands had other falimies. Truth only prevails when it is revealed. But sometimes the damage is already so bad even the truth cannot prevail. |
Mgbadike80:In this technology age, they want to be filling their way down the forest haphazardly when they could easily release some drones and get the location and then polarized their force. |
sammy329:How did I read my own meaning into it. Let's delve deeper into the sane chapter so you can see the conclusion, maybe the context would clarify this discussion. Timothy 6:18-21 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. 20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, 21 which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith. Grace be with you. In Summary; Verse 18 once again reiterates the emphasis on good works. Verse 19 states clearly that they MAY take hold on to eternal life. Meaning they may also not attain it if they stray. Verse 20 explains that false doctrines creep into the faith. Finally Verse 21 clearly states that some have strayed from the faith. If you were to explain that, what does it mean? |
sammy329:The errors inherent due to multiple bible translations is a discussion for another day. I'll show you how two different translations of the same bible verse stated direct opposites. |
sammy329:Whether persistent of inconsistent faith, the import is they would have lost faith. Using different versions of the bible to get your desired meaning will only create further omplications in your eisegesis. You will end up reading your own meaning into scriptures instead of accepting the obvious exegesis. That said, my intention is not to convince you but simply to share what the bible says. It's your choice to do your own study as the Bereans and either accept or reject it. Also, the other references in Hebrews (Willful sins) and Timothy (Greed) both confirm salvation can be lost. Revelations 20:12 also confirms that everyone is going to be judged according to their works not their faith. But what always causes this confusion is there are also scriptures that seems to confirm that salvation cannot be lost so I do understand your resistance. |
sammy329:Re-read my last response. Modified and clarified for your comprehension. |
sammy329:Luke 18:8 is an intermediary between the two parables. Where Jesus explained the moral of the parable he had just shared. You would have noticed this if you paid attention to details. Parables are to teach spiritual truths using natural illustrations. Jesus shared the parable to teach faith in prayer. Then he questioned if men will still have faith or if they would have strayed as a result of unanswered prayers. I hope that helps you understand how it relates to loss of salvation now. |
Good question. But we know they're working for the same govt (northern politicians) so how can they be arrested. |
madegreatbygrace:Everyone is supposedly a pig that needs Christ to become clean. Maybe you are the exception who is perfect. You forget that all the disciples deserted Jesus when he was captured. Was that not betrayal? But he forgave them knowing they're only human. They even forsook the gospel and went back fishing when he was killed because they never understood. Until the journey at Emmaus when he appeared to some of them and opened their understanding. Luke 24:13-31 |
madegreatbygrace:This is exactly why you keep misinterpreting the scriptures. How can you compare the use of lost in both contexts? “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”” Luke 19:10 NKJV JOHN 17:12 12 “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. Let's not forget what this discussion is about- that someone who was once saved can be lost either - through willful sins Hebrews 10:26-27 - through greed (love of money) 1 Timothy 6:10 - through loss of faith Luke 18:8 This was also confirmed by the apostles Paul and Peter in their epistles when some of their followers strayed from the faith. |
genkins:Intriguing coincidence. Just last week I was discussing this here. Paul teaches that Faith is all that matters, not works. Romans 3:28 While James teaches that Faith without works is dead hence it is both the faith and the works that matter. Jane's 2:26 So it goes on to show the confusion is as a result of the contradiction of both scriptures. |
lkillbrokehoes:Buying the most expensive game for his child doesn't mean he's not a deadbeat dad. Being there as a father figure for the child is what makes him a real dad. |
madegreatbygrace:What does it mean to lose some one? That means he was once saved. I know it's difficult for you to admit you're wrong but your stubbornness only shows how hard it is for you to learn. |

Your interpretation of the bible is so juvenile, it feels like discussing with a kid. Jesus chose and saved him like the others to be his disciple. He lost him cos the scripture has to be fulfilled. |
Kobojunkie:You interprete the scriptures well. Unlike some who only want to see what their pastors tell them about the bible. |
sammy329:You mean to say what was revealed through the Holyspirit contradicts what Jesus taught? Cleqrly you need to spend more time reading than arguing. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. John 16:14 |
madegreatbygrace:Judas did believe in Jesus but was tempted by his love of money exploited by the Pharisees to betray Jesus. Judas like each of the other disciples was saved but still had his flaws. None of them was perfect. Peter betrayed Jesus by lying and denying him thrice. Thomas doubted the resurrected Christ. Jesus occasionally got angry at their unbelief and lack of understanding, etc. Judas was saved just like the other disciples. I mean how can Jesus choose and call someone by himself and you say he was not saved ![]() |
