Each time you flee from sin you will escape from it. Joseph flees when he was tempted and sin did not catch up with him. You don't stand in front of sin to resist it. The way to resist it is to flee from it. You must be careful and seek God to help you to flee each time sin is crouching at the door. As you flee from sin, you are to pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace as God's children.

They must recognize one single enemy (Satan) so whenever anyone offends them they should be ready to PRAY for the one who hurt them because Satan is the one behind all evil thought not our fellowman! Matthew 6:9-15

That's the purpose of Christianity, to unite people of all nations under one umbrella {Isaiah 2:1-4} this can't be possible when there is diversity in line of thought {John 17:20-23} Satan doesn't want it to work that's why he's ever busy establishing more sects all in the name of Jesus and the veil he's using to blur their senses is called "DENOMINATIONS".
