It has always been a plot to terrorize locals and take over their lands and natural resources. From Birnin Gwari in Kaduna (where for decades locals and travellers had to abandon the 'old Lagos road'), to core villages in Southern kaduna to Niger State to Plateau to Benue to Zamfara. And all these are not unconnected to the boko haram. Names of some sponsors were released multiple times by foreign governments within the last three years, but the most corrupt government in the history of Nigeria acted as if they were deaf. |
Good step by the LASG. |
LOL. Is Seyi a special adviser abi COS to the President? Which Kain beer parlour talk be dis? |
Great policies What is needed is promotion of innovation, production and ease of doing business locally and internationally. |
There seem to be a lot of complaints about bet9ja defrauding winners. If they are unable to pay winners, they better shut down and go look for jobs. Opening shop to defraud Nigerians shall not be acceptable. |
Who are the bandits? Are they indigenous to the areas they terrorise? |
The APC Gubernatorial candidate will be coming from Edo Central. Same with PDP. |
Oh dear! May he R.I.P One of the bravest, outspoken governors in recent time. |

SSFeedsNigeria:Most of these agbo/herbal drinks have always been native herbal remedies for native communities in the SS, especially Edo and Delta, and not brought in by Yorubas as you allege. In fact, the home of herbal remedies is Edo State. |

Spy360:The Igbos know the history and heritage of the Ikwerre man better than the Ikwerre man himself. Wow. |
Antivirus92:I'll intentionally not edit it. A good amount of effort has to be put in place in order to get verifiable and factual information from records or documents developed by historians, scholars, colonialists and merchants at the time and even royal /traditional leadership.

Spy360:I know a certain Bulama. He speaks Hausa which is the Lingua Franca in the North, but he is a Marghi man, very proud of his heritage. I've never heard any Bahaushe(Hausa man) call such person a fool just because he speaks his language or his name sounds 'Hausa-ish' But this penitence is always seen with many from the South East who won't let other people be. |
Antivirus92:Wikipedia is the most unreliable source for information. Do you know I can go to this very page and edit it? |
Mrfeel:I guess you're talking about the Ikweres in Rivers State and Ikas in Delta State. They've always been a distinct people from Igbos with their own identity. Proximity to Igbo towns coupled with the itinerant nature of Igbos led to intermarriages, migration (as has even been more intense in recent times due to insecurity in the SouthEast) and adoption/sharing of some cultural features. They know their own history and would always make it clear they have their own identity. Mrfeel:All these areas were under the Bini Kingdom. Despite these ethnic groups originally being part of the kingdom, today you'll not see any Edo attempt to place or force any form of identity on them. These people know best who they are. That cannot be determined by the wishes of someone else from another land. Secondly, effects of migration cannot be deemphasized. Factors such as itinerant behaviour/culture of groups of people, sociopolitical and economic factors and proximity determine the migration trend. Keys events in history which would have promoted such migration apart from slave trade include the advent of the colonial period in Southern Nigeria when former slaves would prefer to settle within such coastal region, the acceptance and hospitable nature and cultures of host communities, establishment of the earlier corporate entities such as the Royal Niger Company which led to further migration to these regions in search of education, skill acquisition, employment, trading, etc. So within these areas today, apart from having descendants of the aborigines, you'll definitely have individuals who would claim to be indigenous, and may even have some knowledge of history of their forefathers being migrants from places in the SouthEast, but over the last few generations, have claimed to be indigenous. This is not a bad thing, rather a stimulus for growth and development as seen in the most developed cities globally. But where a problem lies is when some people who claim to be indigenous and can trace their ancestry to being migrants, attempt to force or cajole aborigines to accept a false identity in order to achieve an agenda. Similar events are playing out in Rivers and even Lagos, leading to certain events we've witnessed in recent times. The truth is in the next half to full century, Igbos and other tribes who have been in places like Lagos for generations would claim to be indigenes of Lagos, which is great. But peace would be disturbed when any of such groups attempts to (falsely) ascribe its ethnic ownership over such a place in order to meet a certain ethnic agenda. It will only reawaken ethnic differences amongst the people. Here is a video of a royal father from Delta North below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMhONGyCj0M?si=7CePzT4H3NRtKgA_ |
A group known as the Nigerian Patriotic Forum has kicked against the call for the removal of Nyesom Wike as the minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), Abuja. On Tuesday, the Network of Civil Societies for Economic Sustainability asked Wike to resign from his position. Among several allegations, the group accused Wike of being controversial in his actions and turning a blind eye to the plight of FCT residents. Speaking on Thursday in Abuja, Aliyu Sani, chairman of the group, who led some protesters to the national assembly, said the Network of Civil Societies for Economic Sustainability claims were based on “falsehood”. “Nothing can be further from the truth, than this well-rehearsed and repeated falsehood,” he said. Addressing land-grabbing allegations against the minister, Sani said Wike has stated his resolve to ensure that all title owners revalidate their certificate of occupancy with new security features which include the introduction of the national identity number (NIN) for individuals and bank verification number (BVN) for corporate bodies. “It is in the public domain that since the coming of Wike as FCT minister he has been able to liaise with the Corporate Affairs Commission, wherein they uncovered 189 fake companies that have been used to secure the allocation of choice lands in the federal capital,” he said. This discovery has led to the arrest, detention and ongoing prosecution of two perpetrators of this crime.” “It is normal for corrupt individuals and land grabbers to sacrifice everything they have acquired to frustrate this laudable initiative. “We won’t be surprised if they further reinforce to cause anarchy in the city capital so as to derail this policy.” He added that Wike is also tackling the security and transportation challenges in the nation’s capital head-on by announcing plans to roll out buses and taxis. Sani said the group who raised “weighty allegations” against Wike’s administration lack of accountability “failed” to provide evidence. “The Nigerian Patriotic Forum wish to therefore pass a vote of confidence on his excellency Nyesom Wike for the successes recorded so far,” Sani said. “The Abuja original inhabitants are with him. They will stand by him and we are ever ready to come out to counter any protest aimed at tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of Wike, thereby dwindling his renewed vigour towards revitalising the nation capital.” https://www.thecable.ng/abuja-indigenes-are-with-you-group-rejects-call-for-wikes-resignation-as-fct-minister/amp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPUhmxYpN6M?si=rXhUXTRyyGicTo8P |

Wait a minute. This one that kidneys are moving upandan. Are appropriate tests and preparation eg HLA and compatibility testings, etc conducted before transplantation? There would definitely be high rejection rates. This also reflects the ineffectiveness of most of the so-called NGOs and agencies within Nigeria as corrupt practices from recruitments to operations have rendered them useless. This is just one of the outcomes of bad leadership, endemic corruption, poverty and a significantly misoriented people. |
![]() Na real 'women's security'! Hardworking student! |
Dem plenty Every week dozens of them get busted. Maybe identity crisis? |
Now, this would be a strong candidate from the PDP. Anything else, APC would just field another Solid candidate from the same senatorial zone. |
After a similar event 11 months earlier, why didn't the agency engage the military in such operation? |
